“This is a vintage Korg Poly-61 synthesizer. The Korg Poly-61 exhibits pinholes on a handful of the lower octave keys made by the previous owner. Not sure the intention or purpose of these holes but nonetheless, it is not affecting the playability or overall integrity of the keyboard. Also, each of the corners shows wear that is normal for a keyboard of this age. Overall, the Korg Poly-61 is in very good condition. ” Selling my custom Korg poly-61 in great shape. Manual controls of cutoff, resonance, attack, decay and sustain have been added so you don’t have to menu dive for those common elements. I wired it so each potentiometer has a corresponding on\off switch for turning each parameter on or off. Midi in and thru have been added on channel 6. I proactively changed the battery to ensure there wouldn’t be any leakage or damage to the board. This year I cleaned and rebuilt the key bed. All knobs, buttons and functions work as they should. The synth sounds fantastic! The factory bank has been loaded in preparation for this sale.

Cosmetically it has some scratches and dings, particularly around the side panels. Those are pictured. When I had it apart last time I lost the screw for the DCO and Pitch bend panel so it stays put, but the panel has a bit of wiggle to it. ” Vintage KORG POLY 61 programmable analog polyphonic synthesizer. This one has had a rough life but its not totally dead yet. Many physical issues including missing & broken keys, missing joystick, broken switch, general wear, dirt, etc. Please check the photos. Just powered it up and its droning away on its own with no keys seeming to work, but I was able to use the PROGRAM and PARAMETER functions. When I’ve tried it in the past sometimes it does nothing, something a few keys work and the arpeggiator works, but it is 100% As-Is. Facia /front panel clean with some surface scratching

Some damage to corners , bear in mind this was released in 1982 , it’s been around for.some time .

Have tried to find how to factory reset bit from what I’ve researched , I need a tape player so this would suit someone with a good working knowledge of analogue and synthesis factors

Korg Poly 61 Keyboard Synthesizer, 1983 – non-functional, Fair Condition. Condition is For parts or not working.
I have owned this Korg since 1996 and it’s always been kept in its heavy duty case. About 8 to 10 years ago, the voices stopped producing sounds when it was first turned on. At this time, it will sometimes produce some sounds after being powered on for over an hour. I believe there is a capacitor issue, or that the board needs to be tested and re-chipped. It cannot be actively used without maintenance work performed.
As such, I am listing this as Non-Functional and For Parts. Interested buyers would be those looking for a project or scavenging this one for parts.
The joystick in the picture was customized as the original broke some time ago. I still have the original joystick, as seen in photos, and it will be included. Perhaps someone with some 3D printing skills could replicate the original to fully gain use of both axis.
Note; the battery was removed to avoid it leaking and causing corrosion. I will update the photos with a close-up of this area. I do not believe that there is any corrosion, and I removed it as a precaution.
The case is overkill and extremely heavy and probably should not be shipped. The metal trim makes it a bit dangerous, and I think this was a custom tour case built in the early 1980’s. I will gladly ship without this extreme case and just use alternative padding provided by FedEx.

“I replaced the side panel. Its not stock. All the original clips are put back, but some screws are not original. It plays really nice. Once you get used to the slider, its easy to use the value lever to program, and in performance on the filter , envelopes etc.
You have alot of performace control with the live buttons on the panel , chord memory, hold, 9 different arpegiator positions, either latched or unlatched, live speed control. the joystick is and XY postions so you can blend the pitch bend with the filter, or vibrato modulation. The pitchbend goes up to an oct up and down, and has a live knob control that amount, and another knob to control the frequency speed amount.

Pedal controls include, sustain, program up, arppegio trig in,
High and low main out, AND headphones out
This synth really is a monster, and it does some unique sounds when you push the edge of some of the controls, like good analog synths do.
It takes a minute for the osc to stablize, which is normal for the poly 61m till it warms up. But it tunes itself”

“Vintage Korg poly 61 Analog Synthesizer AS-IS.
Electrolytic capacitors were replaced on CPU board and power supply board. However i do not have the time to finish this.
I get sounds out of it but they sound weird. I am not to familiar with synths, from My research i am guessing its a bad trace. It seems all the voltages are there. But again. Im not an expert.
Im sure someone knowledgeable can get it going easily. The joystick works.

This is a great sounding synth and easy to program.

There are a couple of issues;

1. The mode switch is broken but still usable

2. The top c has an intermittent fault.

Everything else works as it should. The inside is clean with no battery leakage.

The case is a little tatty, but doesn’t detract from the functionality, of the synth.”

“Works great. Tunes up in 5 minutes like it should. Stays in tune. All arpeggiation , chord hold, pedal midi etc works as should. Programable, all original, except one side panel which are particle board, was coming apart, so I re-fashioned a solid wood piece and re-built it. It’s sturdier than new.

Nice synth. Very very clean on the inside.

It’s been in AC storage, over the years whenever I pull it out it worked as it should.

It’s in good shape on the exterior. It will not pass for new, but it’s a good-fair looking, outside, and very good on the inside.

It’s truly a great sounding piece, u can can really get all the typical poly synth sounds, plus it’s got it unique cool sounds when u tweak parameters sounds u will never find in any synth due to unique architecture.”
