This unit is in amazing condition! Studio kept. Never toured. Very minor wear and tear expected from a vintage piece like this.
The K5m rack-module version is basically the same as the K5 except that it has 126 adjustable harmonics and 4 assignable audio outputs and a stereo mix output. If you plan to use the K5 as a sound source in an established MIDI studio, the K5M desktop module version is more compact and practical than the keyboard version.

“Bought as spares for my other K3 (sold) so this has to go too.
Works apx 50% of the time.
Has been to the tech twice but he cant debug it so sold as is.
The good, All buttons, Alpha dial sliders keys work and filters work.
The bad overall tatty and has plastic to stop the membrane further degrading. When the unit is turned on 50% of the time on the voices will be distorted by a warbling digital tone. ”

“Rare Kawai SX-240 analog synthesizer up for auction! Released in 1984, this 8-voice polyphonic synth has 2 analog DCOs and one sub-osc. Stackable in poly-8, poly4 or mono mode for a really big sound. Great for leads, bass, brass, drones, pads and strings, plus add on-board ‘ensemble’ (chorus) or ‘brass’ (ring mod) effects.
I’ve owned this unit since the mid-1990s, only smoke-free studio use. It is built like a tank- this one is fully functioning, have had zero issues with it. Keys, buttons, knobs, sliders all in perfect working order, MIDI works. “No RAM battery – the synth will not boot up into the normal playing mode and does not make any sound, but I can still access the maintenance/adjustment features by playing the lowest C Major chord while turning it on, so it seems to still be alive. The panel test is is actually running in the first photo – that’s why all the lights are on.In addition, I did notice some corrosion on the circuit board around the battery, but it never seemed to impact the functionality before I removed that battery. Please see the pictures for the extent of the corrosion. Because of the missing battery and corrosion, I’m selling this for repair/parts despite that fact it was working fine with a battery.Cosmetically, the “BANK D” button is missing its plastic cap, and a G key is chipped and cracked. “The Kawai SX-210 is a very rare synth. It’s an 8 voice poly synth with 4 poly stack mode as well as mono mode and chord mode. Built in chorus gives you the ability to hit those Juno sounds as well as polysix/MonoPoly sounds. It’s got Sub Osc, PWM, LFO routing/trigger and more. It’s a very capable and great sounding synth. It has a very large patch name display which is unique as it lets you write words for patch names rather than just a 2 or 3 digit number.
This is probably the best condition you’ll ever find one of these in.
Issues: The only physical flaw is on the wood side panel on the front tip there’s a crack besides normal wear. This doesn’t effect the functionality at all and could easily be replaced with new sides. The synth itself is great condition. Prior to shipping I will send a video showing functionality and you will give the OK before shipment. The Ensemble (chorus) button when enabled can cause some gain boost.”

Brand new lithium cell battery has been installed. This has been mounted away from CPU board to prevent any chance of future damage.
