“Original owner, rarely used, bought in New York City circa 1985. In perfect working condition with minimal, superficial wear to the exterior (see photos). No operational issues, no repairs.

“FOR PARTS OR REPAIR CZ101 Does not power on and someone had tried repairing it previously. A part is loosely soldered to the board (see picpicture). Body has some wear but pretty decent for its age. It is missing the battery door and the power button cap. Some posts were rattling inside so I put them in a bag which is included. Also included is a reprinted User Manual. Please look closely at the pics and feel free to ask questions. I have been as honest as I can and included as many details as I remember because I don’t want anyone to think it is a dirty battery spring or anything but it is hopefully repairable to someone out there with more skills and time than me as I cannot get to it before an upcoming medical procedure. Selling off a lot of projects for that reason. It is packed up and ready to go and I generally ship the day after you pay. It’s been mostly in storage. Although it has seem very limited used, there is one key which seems possibly broken (still works), as well as there are at least a few sticky buttons, and the input jack for the power adapter is finicky as to how you rotate it. I made a quick video in hopes of being transparent about the functionality. I am quite sure that some TLC on an older unit like this is entirely doable for someone who its worth it to. For us, we just don’t use this thing and would rather see it go somewhere better! “Tested with batteries and works PERFECTLY. I do not have an AC power source so I did not test it that way. Few tiny scratches on frame. Keys are perfect. Buttons work seamlessly perfect. Screen is great.”

“1980’s Vintage Casio CZ-101 Phase Distortion Synthesizer in good condition. I have listed in detail above everything in my limited capability to test. Some features were not tested because I do not have the tools necessary to do so. (see details above) 9v 5.4w AD-5 power cord not available. All testing was done using 6 1.5v D cell batteries (Batteries not included as part of this listing). The battery compartment is without corrosion. No midi cord available, so I could not determine if an actual communication is working in or out. Sound was tested using sound and line out. 49 piano keys are all responsive. All presets are sounding. Buttons are springy. None are sticking. Seems like a great little keyboard from what I can ascertain. Total 80’s soundscape. Reminds me of big hair and bright colors. Please, do not make any assumptions about anything you think I may have missed in my description or photographs. ”

“This is from a one owner. Includes original silver space bag (rare) and original manuals and power supply (non original). I have owned for last 11 years and I don’t use it as much as I should. These are cool keyboards from 1985 that have a thick analog sound. The sounds have infinite controls that can be programmed onto a cartridge. I never bought the cartridge so I didn’t get to enjoy as much as one should.”
