“Casio CZ1000 Phase Distortion retro synthesiser from 1985.

Everything is in good working order and comes with original Casio PSU. The synth has been stored in a flight case for some years (not included) and all keys, buttons, pitch bend etc have been checked.

Also included is the CZ1000 midi implementation chart but no user manual. This can be found online from many sources.

Such a cool little vintage synth. While Casio sometimes gets the slight – real synth aficionados know that this keyboard is the real deal. Great phase distortion and capable of totally unique sounds or effects.

Instrument is in excellent condition. Battery compartment is clean which is important for item of this age. Casio made this to work primarily with batteries – I do not have the external power supply. Only flaw is that the on/off switch is stuck in the “on” position. Probably an easy fix with a little Deoxit. ”

“The CZ-1000 was the second fully programmable phase distortion synthesizer that Casio introduced. This synthesizer, introduced in 1985, was identical to the CZ-101 in function, but used full size keys and more attractive membrane buttons. It was also somewhat larger than the CZ-101. Like the CZ-101, this synthesizer had 49 keys.

Rare and back in vogue after 30 years. A few knocks and scuffs but still fighting fit ! (like any good boxer)

Comes with genuine (and recommended) Casio AD-5UL power supply.”

“Casio CZ 1000 Synthesizer in primo condition. Includes instructions, Sound Data Book, 3 ram cartridges, electrical power supply, assorted midi cables and dust cover. A relative of mine bought this brand new years ago and it ended up stored in a forgotten closet. It surfaced last year when the house was being cleaned out to be sold. I already have too many musical toys for it to land in my house. But anyone who likes to make music would really appreciate this instrument. “Selling my Casio CZ-1000 complete with power supply and patch sheets.
Synth works well apart from two problems that could do with attention at some point..
Two (2) of the keys are broken but its a mechanical failure with the spring so should be easily fixed.
In addition the power supply is wobbly but works when lead is carefully placed inside.
Apart from these 2 obvious problems the synth is in perfect working order…!
I have been using a sequencer to play it rather than the keys as the keyboard can be played via the MIDI.
Cheap sale as the keyboard requires two easy yet annoying repairs, used condition but not too bad, nothing major in the way of scratches or dents.
