# Akai ASQ-10

Akai, ASQ-10 @ 22 March 2011

“Here for auction is an Akai ASQ-10 MIDI sequencer – this is the sequencer part of the famous MPC60 all on its own.

If you’re not 100% sure about how accurate your computer is at sequencing notes, and are looking for something else to run your synths, you could do a lot worse than this. it’s totally rock solid, and will sync to pretty much anything from MIDI clock, MIDI timecode, SMPTE, to audio pulses.

As you can see from the photos, the unit is in pretty good condition, though I realise I haven’t taken a photo of where there’s been a bit of rust on the right hand side. Nothing to worry about as it’s been sealed in epoxy- just doesn’t look new (which isn’t exactly a surprise for something that was made 25 plus years ago) Let me know if you’d like to see a photo of the rust repair.

It comes with a power cable and small pile of disks to get started, (though if you find you use it, you’ll probably want to upgrade to the Hxc flash based floppy replacement anyway)You can get the manual online, but I can also email it to you if you want – not like it really needs that much explanation to use, it’s so well designed and laid out.” Auction ended.
