“I’m the original owner of this Oberheim Matrix 6R analog synthesizer module. Originally released and built in 1986, these rack mounted synths were emblematic of that Oberheim sound – thick, synthesized waveforms. I’ve had this rack mounted in my personal smoke free studio since I purchased it in the late 80s. It’s in excellent condition, with only a few rack rash marks. I recently tested it out, all seems to work well. Software version 2.13.
Although it doesn’t currently need one, I recently bought a back up battery, which I’ll send along for those who know how to change it. I also have the original manual and a cassette that came with it, containing 1000 sounds. “I’ve been carrying this thing around for YEARS. I keep telling myself I’m going to restore it… I’ve finally given in and am hoping someone will make it go again.
It doesn’t really work, certainly not like it should. It makes sounds but… not really? It also has had some mods done to a few of the modules which you can see in the photos.
It is in a home made plywood case which even still has some measurements written in pencil on the side. I call it The Folk Synth since it has an early American folk art vibe.
The pots date it to 1974, which would make it quite an early Paia. From a little digging there are several places online to find schematics and build docs.
This is definitely a project so expect a fair amount of parts replacement and rewiring. Assume it’s 46 years old and has never been serviced.
Due to age, lack of functionality, and unknowns this is definitely sold as-is and with no reserve. However, I do hope that someone will make this the coolest old time folk art modular ever!

” For a 45 year old synth, I would have to say it is in near museum condition on the exterior. There are very few scratches and dings, obviously well taken care of by previous owner(s). Does NOT show the regular signs of gigging (beat to crap). All keys are straight and flat and none are sticking. All knobs are intact and all sliders seem to work correctly with appropriate resistance to movement. Comes with the (optional) rare 285A Polypedal which is also in extremely nice condition. That being said, I have NOT plugged this unit in nor tested it, so I am in no way guaranteeing or warranting the correct operation beyond the exterior condition (which is very nice). It’s possible that you will plug this unit in and it will work fine, but it is also more than likely going to need some internal contact cleaning, tuning and even a possible overhaul. “Up for sale is a Roland SH-1000 Used Synthesizer Keyboard, For Parts Or Repair, you get exactly what’s in pictures, for parts or repair, AS-IS. This was bought at a storage unit sale and sorry I know very little about vintage Synthesizer Keyboards therefore I am selling as seen in pictures and as I bought it. Here’s what I do know; I plugged a cord into the outlet on the synthesizer and plugged the other end into a receiver’s mic access. I turned it on and got it to play all the individual instruments on the far right side, and all seem to function as they should. Some played extra notes, but I think they’re supposed to do that, but not sure. There are 3 keys that are missing / broken, 2 far left and 1 in the middle all still can be turned on and off.
That was all that I tested,

OK, be honest, you thought cv/gate was mostly a real-time thing or relegated to expensive boxes like the Cirklon.
You love your SH-101 and you fondly remember all those cool sequences you used to come up with on it that are now lost forever in time.
DON’T DESPAIR!
The CSQ-600 is one of those cool Roland products they made back when they cared about music and musicians. Yes, it can record and play back cv/gate sequences. Fine.
It can also let you program in rests and glides and you have control over tempo and it syncs up your CR-78 (you do have a CR-78, don’t you? tssk, tssk if not) or some other DIN Sync box.
You also can do some cool real time switching between saved sequences. The CSQ is smart enough to switch on the loop point for seamless transitions plus there’s a metronome so you can press keys in time, and a ton more.
I’m including a printed manual so you can get all the juicy details of how to connect it and use it to the fullest. I also replaced the battery since 40 year old NiCads tend to leak and destroy circuit boards. The original battery in here started to leak, but it wasn’t bad and I cleaned up the area before installing a new battery. You might want to ask sellers of other CSQs if the battery has been replaced. You’re not saving anything if not and likely you’ll be in for an expensive corrosion-damaged repair down the road (just ask PolySix owners, knowhatImean?)”

“Korg Poly 6 Synthesizer. Bought new in 1985. This synth powers up but there is no sound. It has been unplayed and in storage for years now. I replaced 2 keys recently, 1 black, 1 white. In its day it had fair usage (mainly home) but was well looked after, though it picked up a few knocks along the way. It comes with original manual, settings charts and sounds tape. It has a few bits of minor damage, some of the laminate on the frame is chipped, a mark on one of the keys and a few screws have been replaced ( see photos).
