Don’t have all the necessary tools and time to fully commit to refurbishing this awesome synth. Was gifted to me but I’m not exactly in the market for these models.
The main issues I’ve encountered are
11 dead keys: either sometimes respond or not responding at all (Marked keys in pictures provided).
Buttons: Heavy force or repetition for some buttons to finally respond or don’t respond at all.
LFO Bender: Does not seem to add effect, pitch bender (left &right) works great.
Aftertouch: Slider for said aftertouch also, does not seem to add effect.
Cosmetics: Paint job is damaged considering its years.
MIDI has not been tested but inputs and outputs seem to work great.

“This auction is for a KORG POLY-61M key synth vintage analog keyboard with MIDI “FOR PARTS”. I put it for parts because there is no sound coming out of it. The keyboard turns on. Every time you press a key it sounds like a tick. Every time you press a key the diodes on the board(508A) inside light up. I tried to find out what chip,diode,capacitor or resistors were bad but it was an impossible task for me because I don’t have the right equipment to test it. It seem like they spilled something on it. I took out the board(509A) and cleaned it out but to no avail. So I’m selling this AS-IS. From what I have been reading its a pretty simple fix. “This Korg ms2000 Is in excellent shape and works 100% These are known sadly for the Main DSP IC Chip failing, But this one has had a NEW DSP professional Installed by a tech replacing the faulty and guaranteed to fail original. This unit also has no issues with Preset saving, or preset file sending / receiving with a PC ( another known warning sign of a bad DSP) This synthesizer REQUIRES an Audio interface with midi, or a dedicated midi interface to do preset loading and saving via PC or Mac. THE CHEAP MIDI TO USB CABLES (SILVER) HERE ON EBAY WILL NOT WORK as they are junk and do not send sysex data, only key control data! The cutoff and resonance pots have been replaced with replacements from syntaur, as well as a new power jack installed. Keybed has been cleaned and check for 100% function. All input and output jacks function like intended, as well as the midi ports functioning 100% This classic synth is ready for another 30+ years of service. Comes as shown with Korg power adapter. ”
