“I’m selling my original US made full size vintage ARP Odyssey. It’s flightcased and in excellent working and cosmetic condition having been regularly serviced over the years. It was toured professionally throughout its past and has been recently kept in a studio.
The synth has a couple of extra features commissioned by the original owner.
Firstly the pitch wheel is sprung so it jumps back to its central position making using it in performance much easier. There is also an extra control to adjust the amount of the pitch change. There is a knob which adjusts a delay on modulation so that you can adjust the attack on the modulation used. This can be turned on and off with the extra switch. Otherwise the synth is a typical black and gold faced early Odyssey. All keys work and the oscillators and tuning are extremely stable. There is plenty online about this version of the synth. The manual is a modern reproduction but included. ”

” The fine item you are considering is a Rare Vintage Modular Version Steiner Parker Synthacon Synthesizer. Yes, it’s the rare modular version of the Steiner Parker Synthacon, but there is no “Parker” listed on the unit, only the “Steiner” name. The unit looks to be in excellent, well cared for condition, with the only issue I see being that one knob is missing (the knob from the VC Filter section) but the pot and pot post is still there and in good shape- only the knob has fallen off. I opened the back of the unit, and everything inside looks to be visually in good shape as well. Unfortunately, I do not have a keyboard for the unit, and I have no way to actually test the unit, so I’m selling it “as is”, although I will guarantee it to be as I have described, in excellent cosmetic condition, and looking like it was extremely well cared for. “I had this tested & the salesman said it’s not quite right.
“This is a original 1972 Minimoog, serial number is #1442, the 442nd production model in April of 1972. It is a rare transition model in that it has the clear plexiglass pitch and modulation wheels before they switched to the off-white type. Otherwise it has all the original components of an early model D including the oscillators, which were never upgraded.
“I am the original owner and this unit is in great condition. It has never required servicing and is completely unmodified. I purchased this Moog Prodigy in 1980 from Naperville Music in the Chicago suburbs. The original Owner’s Manual, Technical Service Information manual and warranty card shown are included. I never noticed until just now but I think the music store guy wrote down the serial number as 9358 on the warranty card but the sticker on the back looks like 3358 to me. I have owned numerous keyboards/organs/synthesizers over the years but nothing I have ever touched creates the unbelievably wide range of sounds that this little guy does. I am with some reluctance letting this friend of 39 years go to a better home.”

Some sounds have been adapted but can be reprogrammed though would recommend using the Roland external programmer because it’s much easier. This keyboard has been used and could do with refurbishment but is an incredibly powerful machine. Broken key shown. Comes with semi-flight case. Collection only. It’s big and heavy.”

The strip under the keyboard wears out. I didnt feel a need for Aftertouch so it didnt matter to me. This function is still available by external control however. There are some cosmetic blemishes which I have included in the photos.”
