# Roland Jupiter 6

Jupiter 6, Roland @ 02 May 2010

“Up for auction is a great example of a Roland Jupiter 6. If you are looking at this auction you probably already know the legendary status the Jupiter synths have so I won’t bore you with an endless list of specs copied from some website. You probably know those by heart. I will instead tell you all I know about this particular unit. As you can see from the pictures it is in extremely nice condition. There are some lite scratches on the front (I’ve included a pic) and some scratches on the end plates (I’ve included pics of those as well). Also on the end plates you will notice that each is missing the lower back screw, but obviously the absence of them do not hinder the performance or the structural integrity of the unit. I wanted to mention all of these “blemishes” right up front so there are no surprises.

Now for the good, everything works great and overall (with the small exceptions I mentioned up front) the unit is in great cosmetic condition. All of the knobs and slider caps are present and in great condition. When we received it in the shop, three pots were a little scratchy and would not “clear up” with a routine cleaning. We opened it up to change them and after removing the boards decided to go ahead and replace all ten of the pots in the controls section. There was no reason to open up the case and do a complete cleaning on it and then not replace the rest of the pots on the boards while we had them out. If for some reason you want the old pots, we still have them and I can include them for you. Just let me know. We did not replace the four in the LFO-2 Bender section. They work perfectly. All of the sliders, switches, light buttons, etc, work great. The arpeggiator works perfectly as does the portamento and glissando. It is a great sounding unit and great looking unit. It also comes with a nice case. The case is designed for carrying it from gig to gig, but is not ATA rated so while we will ship the unit in the case, the case will also be packed in a box for safe shipping. Hopefully I’ve answered all of your questions ahead of time, but if not please feel free to ask. We will do our best to answer them.

Even though this unit is in very nice condition and the pictures show it to be as such, there is no such thing as a “brand new condtion” vintage unit. Anyone who says differently is not being entirely truthful about their auctions. We try to the best of our ability to accurately describe our auctions. Everyone associated with billybobs_garage is a musician. We have all been gigging musicians at one time or another in our lives. While this is a business for us, it is also a passion. Because of that we understand how important it is to accurately describe our auctions. It is our opinion that there should be ZERO surprises when you open up the box. When you spend your hard earned money you deserve quality, value and above all honesty. ” Link
