“Up for sale is a rare Oberheim Drummer – hopefully if you found this listing you know what this is but if not I’ll try to explain – this is basically a midi controller – it has no sounds of it’s own but it can play drum sounds (or any sounds really) from any midi-controllable sampler, drum machine, soft synth, or other source. What it does very well is to give a human feel to your drum tracks. With the optional footpedals (Roland DP-2s work well) you can do things like start and stop songs and also trigger fills.
This unit works perfectly and has the 3.8 version software which I think is the most current. It includes the adaptor. I was pretty sure I had the manual for it but I haven’t found it yet – if I find it it’s included – and you’ll definitely want it!” Link
