# Moog Source

Moog, Source @ 29 June 2009

“All right!
A Moog Source synthesizer!

This synth does not work.
It powers up and the display comes alive.
The displays will sometimes read a proper numerical value, and sometimes display nonsense.
Pressing a key does not produce sound.
After a moment of being powered up, the unit will produce some very strange garbled and freaky (even for a Moog) sounds.
The buttons and dial will affect the display settings (and the chaotic noise somewhat) , but the results are more inconsistent nonsense.
We are not sure what the specific nature of these problems are.
The touch panel membrane on these units are know to fail; the problem is most likely related to this and may extend to other aspects of the synth.
This instrument might prove to be useful only for parts.
It is for auction as-is due to these facts.

The synth is in good physical and structural condition.
The wooden side panels are unbroken showing some scuffing.
Keys are level and move well.
Control knobs and wheels move well with no shakiness.
Touch panel membrane is in good condition with no gouges or peeling.
Jacks are in good condition.
All control labeling is legible and the synth does not show and much color fading at all.

So there!
Bring your other one back to life!
Install it in the dashboard of your car for “wow” factor.
Don’t let it just sit there.” Link
