# Moog Opus 3

Moog, Opus 3 @ 22 March 2010

“Moog Synthesisers require little introduction thesedays and neither does this Moog Opus 3. Its old , Analogue and makes hell of a sound, its gutsy and powerfull. In working order and was today cleaned inside and out, tested and is fine, this Moog was made from 1980-83 so its a minimum 26 yrs old and still as good as ever, its a 49 key polyphonic keyboard with String, Organ, Brass sections, the String is very much like a Arp Omni, the organ a bit like a Polymoog type organ sound , but the standout section has to be the Brass , very good clear and a fantastic filter, further information can be found on the exellent vintagesynth site. The synth is good order ,just to mention a couple of chips to the keys as in picture gallery, a couple of sliders not so smooth as the rest but work fine, a scuff mark in the string area on control panel, and general wear to the wood sides , almost common now on moogs, there are no modifications and in as seen condition, all slider caps correctly colour coded, if this classic Moog is going to be used for recording, ect a service would be advised. These are often regarded as quite reliable synths , and their divide down system of operation is very much like the mighty Polymoog, when all 3 sections are used it does sound like a Polymoog Synthesiser,” Link
