# Moog MG-1
“Absolutely nothing wrong with the synth, everything has been checked out and it’s working perfectly. There should not be any dust in the sliders, if there is this is a quick and easy fix – all keys working properly.
Realistic was Radio Shack’s brand, but in 1981 MOOG made this synth to be sold in it’s stores, which is why it has the super warm and fat sound that makes it so desirable today. It features the infamous 24db/oct Moog filter, 2 Oscillators, an LFO with a ‘Sample-and-Hold” function, a polyphonic ‘Organ’ setting, ring modulator and more. It also has CV/GATE control so that it can be used with other synthesizers and drum machines, an essential feature not found on other similar consumer-marketed synthesizers.
It is one of the most affordable ways to enter the world of both monophonic synthesizers and MOOG synthesizers, but it’s also a unique synthesizer with a sound of it’s own. It’s really hard for me to let this one go, it definitely has a sound that I can’t get from my other synthesizers.” Link
