# Moog MG-1

MG-1, Moog @ 15 February 2010

mg1 “This machine has been carefully serviced and a friend of mine I’m training did a lot of the actual work. Let me introduce Mike Smith (yes..I know it sounds like I’m making up a name just so I can have an alternate ebay account! :-) But no Mike and I actually went to High School together in Corvallis, Oregon! He’s lived here in Montana for a little longer than me and he has a background in …well his bachelors in Geology. I’m training Mike to turn his caveman like instincts that he once used to crush rocks and the like…. to a more loving, gentle occupation of servicing these precious pieces of history! I decided to post this first listing for him to show him how ebay works. I’ll be carefully supervising his work for some time so feel confident that you are going to get the same kind of reliable synth from him that you will get from me. We’re going to try the name ‘smithbailout’. :-) )

Anyway this unit is sounding awesome. We lubed the sliders and cleaned all controls and dealt with improving the looks a bit. There are some small scatches around but at any distance it really looks great! The main issues are just cracks in the overlay thing. You can see the worst one that we did a little touch up on in the pic. The nice thing is..the adhesive seems to hold it down really well and it’s not trying to peel up or anything. So like I say at any distance the thing really looks just fine and electronically it’s superb. Mike meticulously cleaned all the little dust out around the key contacts even.” Link
