# Moog MG-1
“For sale a Moog Realistic MG-1 analog synthesizer totally restored and modified to increase the power of this great synthesizer.
The MG-1 was manufactured by Moog under the brand Realistic and the Moog Rogue was just a rebuilding of this synth ( the schematics and components are almost the same ) but the MG-1 has some features that make it superior to the Moog Rogue. In comparison with the Moog Rogue the Moog Realistic MG-1 has a Ring Modulator, individual modulation rate for VCO and VCF , individual wave selector on VCO1 and VCO2, individual octave selector on VCO1 and VCO2 , polyphonic section.
The main features of this synth are :
* 2 VCO with Saw/Square wave ( VCO1) Saw / Pulse wave ( VCO2 ) and sync
* Noise Generator
* 1 VCF , 24 db/Oct Moog Ladder filter ,( can be used as Sine wave Oscillator with really good tracking)
* 1 AD/ASR envelope
* 1 LFO
* Ring Modulator
* Fully Polyphonic section
* Glide
These are some of the works that I made on this synth during the restoring / modifying process ::
* General cleaning inside and outside, keys….
* Cleaning the famous sticky foam
* All the sliders and switches have been changed for new ones
* The three potentiometers have been cleaned internally
* All knobs have been changed
* Take it off the old RCA connectors and changed them for Jacks 1/4″
* New Thermal Grease on the Tempcos and Power supply
* PCB cleaning
* The synth has been modified to increase the signal/noise ratio, now the synth has louder out ( without any distortion at maximum volume )
* Added Audio IN to the filter ( now you can filter external signals)
* Added Filter CV In to control the filter with external signals like ADSRs, LFOs from modular synths etc
* Added a Gate IN because it has S-trig IN , now you can use it with almost any Midi to CV converter and it’s more easy to control with all analog sequencers.
* New internal dust protection
* The synth has been re-calibrated
* The synth has been converted to European voltage ( 220V ) and comes with European plug.” Link
