# Moog 952 Modular Keyboard Controller

Modular, Moog @ 26 July 2010

” Up for bids is a Moog 99-952 Duophonic controller for Moog modular synth systems. I received this from a friend that rescued it from the dumpster at a school in western MA (as you can see by the pics). He tried to scrub off the paint (using who knows what) and made a mess, as you can see from the pics. I assure you this isn’t stolen! I got my Fender Rhodes this way. The cable that connects the keyboard to the suitcase amp was missing, the music director figured it was old and broken and I asked to have it before it got tossed. This old gear sits in a closet for years and someone comes along, doesn’t know what it is and throws it away. Anyways, I have no way to test this since I don’t have any synth modules that this would connect to. The tolex is in good shape (some of it got yucked up when he tried to remove the paint) and for WHATEVER reason, the keys are kinda yellowed EXCEPT for the D’s. I scrubbed them up a little bit with some household cleaner, but I’m sure you could have them looking better. The knobs and switches feel good. According to the sticker this was made in 1975, so it’s in pretty good shape considering the age, but it also probably spent it’s whole life at a school, not getting stabbed by Keith Emerson.

Again this is a controller, it is not midi, it will not create it’s own sounds.” Link
