# Korg X-911

Korg, X-911 @ 07 November 2009

x911 “Hello.

This is an early 80′s Korg X-911 Guitar synthesizer.

Made in Tokyo, Japan.

It is in great overall condition.

I have not played this since the late 80′s and when I tested it, the instrument side, when the balance control is all the way to the left, does not function properly. I get a constant octave tone for any note played on the guitar. This tone varies as you adjust the interval control. Doing this manually, you get a strange wierd pink floydish sound. A cool effect.

When you slide the balance to the right, the synth controls sound ok.

All the other controls work, except the portamento. I’m not sure what that’s supposed to do.

Also, I never messed with any of the 1/4″ jacks except the guitar in and the output to an amp.

I checked one local guitar repair store and they said they were not familiar with the repair for this unit. This may be the perfect unit for a handy tech.

Also, it comes with the original instruction booklet and plastic overlay. The overlay has bend creases. The instructions are in good condition.” Link
