“For sale is a used Yamaha SK-15 “symphonic ensemble” vintage analog synthesizer keyboard. It is similar to a Moog Opus 3 in that it has a full organ section (with sliders for drawbars), a string section, and a polysynth section (previously would have been called “brass”). I literally only just acquired this from a music store via eBay, but my family in Elizabeth, New Jersey suffered massive losses in Superstorm Sandy and I need to turn around and sell this thing to regain some extra money to assist. I’m selling it for less than I paid for it, so I’m losing a little money. It does show its age – it is 30 years old – but it’s built like a tank, and everything on it works. I even have the original receipt from the music store that I’ll include. A few of the slider caps are missing, as is not unusual on a synth this age, but the sliders themselves are still functional. The wood paneling shows some age, of course, and there are the usual scratches on the bottom – please see the pictures. But as I said, it has full functionality and for the amount of time I was able to play it – a few hours – everything tested as working as far as I can tell. ” Link
” This Yamaha SK 15 is in excellent condition – I just cleaned the sliders so it performs well, and the body is in very good condition with the exception of some wear on the back right corner of the synth (please see photo). The SK 15 is a fully polyphonic combination organ synthesizer. There are individual sliders to mix different ratio sine waves (organ section), saw waves (string section), and a polysynth section that has the same filter as the Yamaha CS-series synthesizers. “This auction is for a Used Vintage Yamaha SK-15 Keyboard Synthesizer. I have owned it for eight years and have enjoyed its capacities in analog recording. The low C key works sporadically, as does low D# (too much C-minor!), but this instrument is easily serviced and for a few dollars or a few minutes of know-how from an electrically-inclined individual should get it all working well. I recently removed the screws from the instrument panel to check out the wiring to see if I could fix it myself, but I lost the screws. Easily replaced. Also, there is a small ding on one of the corners (see photo). It is in overall good condition otherwise, with great tone and built-in effects capacity (great *wow* bass)… has a variable headphone, a line out, and foot control In.” Link

And pic.9 shows where the sheathing around the power cord has pulled away from the base 1/4 inch.There is no shorting in the power cord though, it works perfectly.Wood shows chipping but all sliders work correctly and are solid.No crackling in volume and pitch pots but I replaced the knobs with a pair from Radio Shack that look retro.Not a bad example of this style keyboard but certainly not a showpiece.” Auction ended.
