Im heutigen digitalen Zeitalter sind diese alten analogen Schätzchen wegen ihres warmen und harmonischen Sounds sehr beliebt und begehrt!
Ich habe den Synthie schon vor einigen Jahren bekommen. Ich als Hobbygitarrist habe jedoch keine Verwendung dafür und ehrlich gesagt von der Bedienung auch keine Ahnung (zu viele Knöpfe und Regler für mich) und habe ihn daher auch nie wirklich benutzt.
Das Gerät ist gebraucht. Von einer Taste ist ein Stück ausgebrochen (siehe Foto), die Taste lässt sich aber normal herunter drücken.
Zur Funktion: Das Gerät produziert Geräusche, welche sich mit den vielen verschiedenen Reglern von Rauschen bis Blubbern beeinflussen lassen. Ob technisch alles einwandfrei funktioniert kann ich mangels Sachkenntnis leider nicht sagen! Bitte beachten Sie dies bei Abgabe Ihres Gebots!” Link

So far as function I’m not sure what this is supposed to sound like but all of the controls seem real touchy and the sound won’t ever actually stop even with no fingers on the keys. “Yamaha CS-5 up for sale – I wish I wouldn’t have to do this but the landlord only takes cash, so there it is – it’s in mostly clean condition aside of some minor scratches and scuffs and it plays fine and sounds great. I didn’t notice any major faults and anything that pops up now didn’t show when I tested it before putting it in the box. I should mention though that the power plug had to be replaced because it arrived with the ground prong missing from the original plug (which was supposed to be a three-prong plug). I replaced it with one of those that you find at O’Reilly Auto Parts and is now safe to operate. The synth has served me well the couple years I had it but rent is more important now. ” Yamaha CS-5 Analog synthesizer. This keyboard is in really good shape — has some dust and could use a good cleaning. Some light scratches and scoffs on the body but nothing terribly serious.
I’ve had this for about 15 years and have used it very little. I’m sure the knobs and switches could all use some contact cleaner. The HPF/BPF/LPF switch seems a little dirty and I’ve had to wiggle it to secure the contact.

I pulled this from my attic and it still works … I powered it up ,, attached it to an amp and played…
Some wierd noises…
Anyway… I think on key is stuck , or there is a switch I have no found as it continuously makes a sound even when I let go of the keys… this may be me not using it right or , like I said, one key is stuck down.
I have no idea…
ALl the switches seem to do what they are supposed to… some need switch cleaner as it has been in storage for as long as I can remember.

I have been using this keyboard for around 10 years and it makes some really warm sounds, good for bass, leads and loads of bleeps inbetween.

“For Sale is my Yamaha CS-5 Analog Synth. This is a really great synth late 70′s early 80′s you really cant tell its this old as it is so useable and capable of some amzing sounds. The synth for sale here has a couple of war wounds to mention all shown in the photos. The first is the pitch bend slider, part of it has been broken off by a previous owner. It still works fine and i have found a replacement cover(also shown in photos) that fits the stump and works fine. There are a couple of scratches on the back above the yamaha sign and a small scuff on the top above the mixer section also shown in the photos. “Der CS 5 war angeblich gedacht als Antwort auf den Korg MS 10. Dabei gehört er akustisch ganz klar zur Yamaha CS-Familie, wie der Yamaha CS 80, der CS 60 oder CS 50. Er ist zwar nur monophon und hat auch nur einen Oszillator. Aber in Sachen Sound ist er ein Vollblut-CS. Er besitzt die klassischen Filter-, Envelope- und Modulationskontrollen und einen LFO mit Sample- und Hold-Taste.
Typisch Yamaha ist der 12dB-Filter, der für einen warmen und sanften Kurvenverlauf sorgt. Praktisch ist die Audio-Input-Buchse, denn damit lassen sich externe Signale (z.B. Gitarre, Gesang etc.) einschleifen und durch die VCF- und VCA-Sektionen schicken.
Der Yamaha CS 5 hat weder MIDI, noch Speicherplätze für die Sounds. Aber beides ist eigentlich nicht störend. Denn per CV/Gate lässt der sich trotzdem ins Studio-Setup einbinden und das Speichern von Sounds erübrigt sich durch seine Übersichtlichkeit.
Seine größten Vorteile: der Yamaha CS 5 ist klein und handlich und bietet dafür einen enormen Sound, den man ihm schon mit wenigen Handgriffen entlocken kann. Ich finde, mit keinem anderen Synth hat man so schnell gute Bässe, Solo- und experimentelle –Sounds geschraubt.
