Die TB 303 wurde in meinem Auftrag bei ‘Real World Interfaces’ auf eine TB 303 Devil Fish umgebaut. Der Umbau hat $ 2107 gekostet.

I HAVE OWNED THIS FOR ABOUT 12 YEARS AND PAID A LOT IT BACK THEN. BUT I HAVEN’T USED IT A GREAT DEAL AND FEEL IT’S A BIT OF WASTE, PLUS THE CASH WOULD BE NICE.

I HAVE JUST TESTED IT WITH BATTERIES AND MAINS, AND IT IS ALL WORKING FINE.
WOW I’D FORGOTTEN WHAT A GREAT MACHINE IT IS, WITH A LITTLE TWEEKING OF THE CONTROL KNOBS I WAS PRODUCING SOME FINE ACID SOUNDS. I HAD TO STOP OTHERWISE I WOULD TALK MYSELF OUT OF SELLING IT.

THIS MACHINE IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION, I HAVE ALWAYS CONSIDERED IT TO BE MINT. BUT BEFORE LISTING I HAVE GIVEN IT A VERY CLOSE INSPECTION AND MUST INFORM YOU OF THE FOLLOWING.

THE OWNER’S MANUAL IS A LITTLE DOG EARED ON THE CORNERS WITH A FEW MINOR MARKS AND SOME CREASING ALONG THE SPINE WHERE IT HAS BEEN OPENED.
THE CARRY CASE LOOKS A LITTLE DIRTY, BUT IT’S MINOR, AND WITH THE CORRECT CLEANING PRODUCT COULD LOOK NEW, THERE ARE 4 BLACK MARKS TO THE UNDERSIDE WHERE THE FEET PROTRUDE (THIS IS UNAVOIDABLE). THE INSIDE OF THE CASE HAS SOME DIRTY MARKS CAUSED BY CONTACT WITH THE MACHINE. THERE IS A 1MM X 5MM INDENTATION OR SCRAPE TO ONE OF THE SIDE PANELS OF THE CASE.
ON THE SEAM OF THE CARRY CASE WHERE THE TOP FLAP OPENS TO EXPOSE THE MACHINE, THERE IS A TINY METAL PIECE THAT IS FOLDED OVER THE SEAM, I ASSUME THIS IS TO HELP REINFORCE THE SEAM AT THIS POINT. THIS IS ONLY ON ONE SIDE, THE OTHER HAS FALLEN OFF AT SOME POINT.
TO THE TOP SIDE OF THE MACHINE THERE ARE A FEW MINOR DIRTY MARKS, MAYBE THE ODD TINY SCRATCH OR MARK.
SOME OF THE CORNERS, EDGES AND THE FEET THE GREY PAINT HAS WORN OFF, THIS IS VERY SLIGHT. CAUSE BY TAKING THE MACHINE IN AND OUT OF THE CASE.
AROUND THE SIDES THERE ARE A FEW MARKS AND SCRATCHES, THE WORST AREA IS THE BACK WHERE THE CONNECTORS/POWER SUPPLY ARE PLUGGED IN. ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE PANEL FRONT CORNER THERE IS A HAIRLINE CRACK OR CASTING FAULT ABOUT 15MM LONG, THIS IS BY THE JOIN WHERE THE TOP SECTION OF THE MACHINE MEETS THE BOTTOM SECTION. THERE IS ANOTHER ON THE BACK BY THE DC 9V, THIS ONE IS LESS THAN 10MM.
THERE SEEMS TO BE A LITTLE CORROSION ON THE OUTPUT TERMINAL, THIS COULD BE CAREFULLY CLEANED UP. THIS DOESN’T EFFECT THE OUTPUT.

PLEASE DON’T BE ALARMED THIS IS A VERY TIDY MACHINE, IT’S NEARLY 30 YEARS OLD AND LOOKS LIKE IT HAS HAD VERY LITTLE USE OVER THAT TIME. WHOEVER BUYS THIS IS GOING TO BE PARTING WITH A LOT OF MONEY AND I WANT TO MAKE SURE THEY KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS MACHINE AND BE TOTALLY HAPPY. ” Link

TB 303 Bass Line: It is in good condition and has been in my possession since 1994. Comes with original manual (except for the cover page which is a photocopy) and all keys, knobs, buttons and lights are fully functional. Some of the buttons can be sticky but definitely in working order. You just have to be quite patient with it, after all it’s almost 30 years old! Batteries are also working fine, no leaks whatsoever. Unfortunately I don’t have an adaptor for it but you can get one for £5 from Maplin Electronics.

up for auction is a vintage roland tb-303 bass line. extremely rare item. i purchased this about 20 years ago at a yard sale and have sadly decided to part with it.
cosmetically, the unit is in good shape. the front looks very nice and sides have a few scrapes/blemishes, but not too bad at all. the back of the unit is a little rough with some discoloring and some sharpie residue. this does not affect playability at all.
i bought new batteries to test it today, but it didn’t seem to run, BUT, when i used a power adapter, it played fine. i also plugged it in through an amp, and it did make sounds too, so it seems to be working fine. all the lights light up when pressed.
this is partly why i am selling the thing…could never really figure it out. unfortunately, the unit does not come with the box.” Link

Bidding is for my Roland TB-303 which I bought new around the mid 1980′s from Rose Morris when they had a store in Shaftesbury Avenue in London It was used for 3 demos and then subsequently put away in the cupboard until now. It has never been gigged.

It is in excellent condition tho’ the inside of the carry case does show signs of fading of the interior material. There is also some very minor cosmetic wear/scratches to the underside of the unit which I have shown in the photos. Unfortunately I appear to have lost the power supply unit (PSU) although these can be bought cheaply elsewhere here on eBay. The TB-303 runs on either 6V (4×1.5v batteries) or a 9V AC Adaptor. The current drain being 80mA (minimum) / 120mA (maximum). I have tried it with batteries and it is all fully operational.

The rotary knobs, selector dials, keys buttons and pots are all nice and tight having seen very little use. The battery compartment is very clean (should have taken a photo of it but forgot). This was used as I said for 3 demos which was long before knob twiddling came into fashion. It has remained stored away for about 25 years.

It has had no modifications and is in original condition.” Link

The switches will need to be replaced sooner than later
I replaced the red LEDs with flat blue LEDs, and in doing this, i took a couple of the pads with them. I had to jumper them to the corresponding IC pins that power them. One worked, one didn’t. Probably hit the wrong pin. It never bothered me, so i never fixed it.

The Blue LEDs are bright, but not super bright. I replaced the Resonance Pot not too long ago, so that is all nice and new. I will include the rest of the replacement pots as well with the sale. There is minimal wear around the knobs. I will also include the original manual (in VERY good condition), original power supply and silver bag. ” Link

The machine is in full working order, but of course showing some signs of age (esp. around the cutoff pot, heh). The machine has been modified with the Kenton CV kit which means that you can trigger the 303 _completely_ from a sequencer. You do need a Kenton MIDI to CV box though, but I’ll throw in the cable required to do this. Of course you could do this from any other source since they’re normal trigger/CV signals.” Link
