“If you found this listing, you know the scoop. The Sequential Circuits Six-Trak is an awesome little analog polysynth.

Honestly the condition of my Six Trak is amazing. Nary a scratch, dent or mark anywhere. I’d give this guy a conservative rating of 9/10, a few very light micro-scratches here and there.

All knobs/keys/buttons function 100%. Any questions? Please get in touch.” Link

“Sequential Circuits Six Trak analog synthesizer. Amazing analog synth with midi.

These synths sound much better than software based synths. 100% working. Only some minor scratches to the wood on the sides (shown in pictures). No other damage to the keyboard.

This item has been kept in smoke free environment controlled room for many years. It has had little use and has been treated well.” Link

“Sequential Circuits Six-Trak

Vintage programmable synthesizer.

Excellent condition – strong 8.5 out of 10 – Super Clean.

This Six-trak is %100 original & functional – sounds fantastic.
No problems with this unit at all, well maintained in smoke free personal studio. Very Low mileage!
Everything works, all jacks, outputs, ports, keys, knobs & buttons are intact & respond well.
This Six-Trak is super clean & looks great!
No damage or obvious wear & tear. Minimal wear if any.
This Six-Trak has seen very little use – Well cared for in my private studio & always covered.
Wood sides are original & still look clean – not all beat up.
(See photos for condition – will add more photos later).

If you’ve been thinking about a Six-Trak, here is a super clean one, ready to help you create some analog synth chaos!

This board comes from the original user. I have had it for less than a year and it has been used solely in my studio. The main thing about this board that I love is the richness of the bass. When comparing them through my monitors they really feel a lot fuller than a similar soft synth (even the Prophet 5 Software that I use) I’m selling the board to help make payments on my home. Everything is fully functional but the number two key is sticky. The volume knob is a little bit touchy if you are trying to adjust it while playing. Cosmetics are pretty solid and all of the keys are in realy good shape!” Link

“SEQUENTIAL CIRCUITS 610 SIX-TRAK SYNTHESIZER KEYBOARD
SINGLE OWNER, TESTED AND IN GOOD WORKING CONDITION.
COSMETICALLY, IT IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION.
A REALLY NICE FIND!
IT IS 28″ WIDE, 12 DEEP, AND 4″ TALL.
CLEAN AND FREE OF ODORS.” Link

“I’m selling my Six-Trak as I no longer use it enough to justify keeping it, better for someone else to get the use out of this famous analogue voiced synthesiser than have it gather dust.
I won’t go into all the details of it’s operation as there are several web sites that describe it in great detail, suffice to say that it’s capable of very rich analogue sounds especially if you stack the 6 voices to make it into a mono lead synth.
It’s in full working order, all controls work, the MIDI sockets work and the foot switch socket works.
All keys are level as you can see and have a smooth action, it feels pretty much like it must have done when new.
Occasionally the data entry knob jitters a bit, but I’ve never come across a Six-Trak that doesn’t suffer from this, the original pots never quite had enough resolution to completely avoid it.
Cosmetically it’s in very good condition for it’s age, far better than the average for a Sequential Circuits on Ebay.
As you can see there are no significant dents or scratches and only a very few minor paint chips.
The wooden end cheeks are in remarkably good condition considering they are, to the best of my knowledge, original.
The original manual is included though this has not faired as well and is very tatty with the cover coming off.” Link

“I have a Sequential Six Trak for sale. The sound of this synth is amazing! Rich warm analog tones. Sequential Circuits sounds!

Very versatile – hate to get rid of the synth.” Link

“SECUENTIAL CIRCUITS SIXTRAK

Link

“This is my beloved SCI Six Track. Six voice polyphony, 6 oscillators, Curtis filter, 49 key little synthesizer. My only beef with the thing is that its in mono. I wanted to get a stereo width out of it, the same width as my Juno 106 if possible. So I decided to add a Boss CE-5: Chorus Ensemble and mod the synthesizer. I did not alter any of the electronics, just merely re-housed the pedal into the synth. As you can see below the jumper cable takes the synths signal to the pedal, if removed you still have a fully functional CE-5 for whatever. ” Link

“Up for sale is one Sequential Circuits Six Trak, a six-voice DCO analog (Curtis chip-based) polysynth in good cosmetic and working condition. Purchased secondhand in 2005 and used for studio work and very occasional local performances since. Not toured.” Link

“This vintage Keyboard is in working condition. Do not know a great deal about it or how to program it. It powers on, the headphone jack works and it does produce sound. Do not know how to manipulate sounds. Have not tested the MIDI function on it. Is missing buttons on it, however, have moved the existing buttons around and tested them at all points and every ‘square’ where a button should exist is operational.

Due to the age and unknown previous owners this comes with no guarantees, thus the low reserve price. Comes with Keyboard, Power Supply, and Original Manual.” Link

“Selling this Sequential Circuits Six-Trak with 1 dead voice.

“Here’s your chance to bid on a great-condition vintage analog synthesizer, the Sequential Circuits Six-Trak. I’ve owned this for almost 15 years, and rarely use it so it’s time to say goodbye. This is a great synth for screaming analog lead playing, or for all kinds of textures, it’s bona fide analog and you just can’t beat that tone. I used it on my band’s record back in the 90′s, and got great results running it through an amp. The synth has an early type of sequencer built-in. Note that this auction INCLUDES the original manual, something which is sold for $50 by itself in other auctions. You are able to program all of the sounds, or modify those saved on it – having the manual makes it realistic to do that.
Great condition Sequential Circuits Six-Trak.
This synth has midi in and out
Includes power cord
Includes original manual
The wooden sides are in great condition
There is only 1 flaw with this piece – there is one key (F#) which has been pretty temperamental, it doesn’t always trigger. I identifed that key in the last picture by sticking a little piece of masking tape on it so you can see which one I’m talking about. It’s possible that this key is touchy because the synth has not been regularly used and the issue might go away with use. I didn’t want to take up the project of opening up the unit to try to fix it. In any case, the synth has midi, so I always preferred to control this unit from my Nord Lead which has my favorite pitch bender.” Link

100% fat analog 6 voice synthesizer
plus a 6 track sequencer, a simple arpegiator and fully programmable with MIDI!
what a very powerful analog synth from 1984. ” Link

This set is from my personal collection. It has lived in a nice clean smoke-free studio and has never been to a gig.
Both these units are in great shape and function 100%
The only blemish is a small chip at the top of one wooden end-cheek on the 6-track.
The 6 track works perfectly with all functions operating as they should including MIDI, sequencers A and B, arpeggiator, and you can custom create your own patches and save them. The internal battery operates 100%.
The Yamaha QX21 is a 2 track MIDI sequencer that is an awesome addition to the Six- Track.
You can create multiple sequences and create some really cool layered effects.
I’m also including the user manuals for each unit. The manual for the QX21 Sequencer & The manual for the Six- Track. I’m also throwing in 2 MIDI cables too!” Link

Link

“This keyboard is in great shape, there are some usual scratches on the bottom from keyboard stands but other than that it’s rust free, wood sides are in great shape! Also new battery, contacts are in great shape, and inside cleaned, and new power cable. Everything works on this keyboard, sequencer is easy and awesome!

Most recent OS 11 chip for MIDI.” Link

“Original owner, purchased in 1984. I used this Six-Trak for a few years, then put it away. I recently pulled it off the shelf and had to replace the internal battery, but it still works great, and sounds great. There is nothing like an analog synth for that monster, fat low end. Think “Super Moog.” The classic Six-Trak was the first affordable synth with 6 voice polyphony, 100 programmable sounds, and a built-in sequencer. And it used this amazing new standard called MIDI.

Included with this Six-Trak is the now outdated Sequential Circuits model 64 sequencer cartridge that plugged into a Commodore 64 computer, and the associated software on 5.25 inch floppy disks. Because of the age of this software, and the obsolete format, there is no guarantee the disks and cartridge still work. The 2 MIDI cables are good.

In the yellow 3-ring notebook are:

Six-Trak Model 610 Operation Manual
Six-Trak Expansion Software Operation Manual
Maestro Music Voice Programs for the Six-Trak (parameter settings)
Adrien Nash Professional Programs for the Six-Trak (parameter settings)
Parameter settings for original 100 factory voices.

The beat-up padded case pictured is also included. It’s the same age as the Six-Trak, but unlike the synth, it’s about used up. It will be good protection for shipping though. There are a few marks here and there on this Six-Trak from normal use, but it is fully functional with all of its knobs, buttons, LEDs and switches in place and working. It will be carefully packed in the padded case, and then packed in an outer box for shipping.” Link

“fine old instrument.
excellent condition. 1 owner.
case,manuals and receipt included.
tested and working.
best offer takes it.
very clean. wood has a few very minor chips.
hardly used.” Link

“I have owned this for about 15 years, not used much in 15yrs and has since been sitting in a cupboard.

I am including a photocopied instruction manual, I don’t have the original box.

Still in perfect working order, as far as I can tell I have tried all the knobs and buttons etc.

Very good condition cosmetically, there is the odd mark and scrape, but you’d expect that from a synth this old.

The only thing to note is a slight scratch on the far left key as pictured. There is also a crack on the wood panel on the left, but the wood panel part that is cracked is not loose at all, so really just a cosmetic crack.” Link

“Sequential Circuits Six-Trak Analogue Synth with midi in need of a bit of love.

It does make some sounds but does not seem to be firing on all cylinders.” Link

“Up for auction is my Sequential Circuits Six-Trak. It might also be found in searches using Six Trak, Six Track, Six Trax, SixTrak, etc….I am the second owner, and have had it for over 20 years. It has been in clean, dry storage for quite some time now. It never really had heavy use, but it is definately a used item. Cosmetically, it is in excellent condtion for all intents and purposes.

I have never really used the MIDI portion of this machine, but the previous owner bought it primarily for that after touring with the Rolling Stones and Rod Stewart for a period in England. He had aspiriations of a successful songwriting career back in the states, and used this to record to a studio quality Crown reel to reel. I had also purchased the DrumTraks machine from him, but it has since been sold. I have the original Operations/Owner’s Manual and working footswitch also, included in this auction. There are some loose sheets in the manual describing/detailing original factory settings. This is the 115V version, built in Sante Fe CA.

This classic keyboard worked fine when I last used it in the studio, some 7 or 8 years ago, and appears to be a working unit at present, with all knobs, keys and buttons functioning correctly as best I can determine. There are no chips of any kind on the keys, and they each produce sound. I am uncertain as to whether the audio output is functioning to full capacity however, as I am not getting full volume in my headphones, which appear to be working fine. Due to the nature of a sale of this type, it will be an “As Is” auction. ” Link

“This item is used, but is in great working order. It was recently removed from a professional facility, therefore has some usage wear. Please take a look at our picture for a better look at what you get, our items are sold as pictured. In great condition!” Link

“Sequential Circuits Six Trak Synth

I have owned this for about 15 years, not used much and has been sitting in a cupboard.

Still in perfect working order, as far as I can tell I have tried all the knobs and buttons etc.” Link

“OK, so here is it: Sequential Six Traks. This is a 230/240V model, in full working order, revised last week. All voices works well…

This synth can store up to 100 patches, have a polyphonic sequencer, a great stack mode, i like it especially for string/pads and sequences.

An interesting and cheap vintage synth still. Below is a quick demo of the standards patches and sequencer. I would maybe need to add a video related to the sequencer and the stack modes. The latest helps you writte your own song on the 6 voices available from the six track, definitly usefull and interesting.

This synth is offered with one CEM 3394 (That is a full voice for this synth) as a spare and user manual copy. It is a year and a half I have this synth and had no worries with the CEM, but it is always good to have a spare (they re worth around 50-70$ usually). ” Link

“Up for auction is a near perfect, fully functional, Sequential Circuits Six-Trak, with original box, packaging materials, and manual. Ready for the serious collector/musician. I hate to give it up, but I just don’t have the time to play it as much as it deserves, so we are looking for a new home for it.

All keys make sounds, pitch and mod wheel work, all knobs and switches work as well. Have not tested midi functionality, as I’m not hip on how to use it. 9.5 out of 10 cosmetically (IMO), there is one small chip off of one of the keys, end caps are excellent. ” Link

“I AM GOING TO CRY, SCREAM, WHATEVER….. I bought this synth weeks ago from a seller on Ebay that said he had no idea what he had or no knowledge
what was up with this synthesizer. Lucky for you I do, & will not lie about it’s condition…. so it is now up for sale as a PARTS/REPAIR.
This SEQUENTIAL CIRCUITS SIX-TRAK has the RARE 6 voice AUDIO MODIFICATION ( each voice has an individual output like the SCI MULTI-TRAK )
But he claimed the synth had it’s battery replaced so no sound programs were inside so no sound could be produced &
I should just purchase the DIAGNOSTIC ROM from winecountrysequential.com & all would be fixed. I talked to them & they said “no, it’s most likely the audio,
the ROM may not just fix the problem” I sent tons of sysex dumps trying to load banks into the synth-nothing. So if you need PARTS for a SIX-TRAK-here you go!
I will not dis you on this. I just lost $330 on my purchase, but the synth may still be fixable. I just can’t afford to fix it right now.
I already have 2 other Roland Analog synths I need fixed, so this one is up for parts. The overall condition is good, the side panels are dinged up, but the main interface panel is cool.
Light dings & scratches. It seems to work fine. JUST NO SOUND. One key is chipped. The left top side wood panel had minor damage on the wood (see pics)
So buy this unit FOR CHEAP! Get it now before someone else fixes this up or uses this for parts! Shipping in the USA only is $60.
GOD, I WISH THIS SYNTHESIZER WORKED!!!! I’ve wanted one of these FOR YEARS…………………………………………..

Good luck, these synths FLY OUTTA HERE ON EBAY, EVEN BROKEN !!!!!!!!!!!!” Link

“I’m parting ways with my incredible Sequential Circuits Six Trak Synthesizer. It’s in perfect working order. I have the original manual and even a case for the synth. This synth has normal wear from the years but is in incredible condition. The only issue is that the serial number was etched in the back (Pictured). So my loss is your gain, some unexpected bills came in and I am forced to sell this. ” Link

“This vintage Sequential Circuits Six-Trak synthesizer is fully working and in excellent condition considering its age. I have owned it since I bought it new in 1983 and have had a lot of fun with it in the past but now have no time to play anymore. The unit is in great shape with only a minor cosmetic crack in the wood side panel from age (see photo) – all the paint and labeling including original serial number look new. There are no other known issues; all keys, settings, jacks and buttons work properly. It even contains a bunch of my own programmed sounds still in memory. The battery has a piggyback on it to save the sounds but may need to be replaced as it is a few years old now. Also included is a binder with Owner’s Manual which explains how to use and program the synthesizer as well as the original Factory Program parameters for all 100 presets.” Link

“Sequential Six-Trak synthesizer – in good condition.

This is a fabulous sounding 80s synth. It works, but need a little TLC; of the six oscillators, two need attention: number 4 emits a high-pitch screech & number 6 does not sound at all. Other than that, it’s good to go. It’s my understanding that the oscillators can be sourced & replaced easily if you’re keen enough. Service manual downloadable from here:

http://www.flitemedia.com/studio/sci-sixtrak.php

The Six-Trak is fully MIDI compatible – not GM of course, but MIDI in & out at least.

The keyboard shows the usual signs of wear for its age: some scratches, a little paint missing, but do remember it’s over 25 years old. As well as a sequencer & arpeggiator the biggest trick for my money is the “stack” mode which allows you to change it into a mono-synth with up to six oscillators running at once. I ran it as three pairs and detuned them slightly: suddenly you have the Mini-Moog solo sound, it’s fabulous! I used it to record a prog-rock album in ’94 & it did all my ‘widdly-widdly’ solos :)

http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=10

It hasn’t seen that much live gigging action (it was a prog band after all!), mostly studio use.

All keys work & feel great, as do the pitch & mod wheels. All knobs in good condition & work fine.

More info here: http://www.flitemedia.com/studio/sci-sixtrak.php

Also, it comes with the original manual (rare!), and the flightcase – although, don’t get too excited about the case, it’s great on the inside but very worn-looking on the outside. However, the wood of the case itself is perfectly intact, but could use recovering & a new pair of latches.

I’ve done a quick video tour here:

Any questions, please ask me. It’s been sitting in storage for a while now, when I went to power it up today & I heard that solo sound, I almost…. almost decided against selling it, but in truth I never use it now & I’m doing a bit of a clear-out, so it has to go. ” Link

“This is a vintage Sequential Circuits Six Trak synth that I picked up a year ago. It powers up just fine but the he “sounds” have gotten erased out of the keyboards memory. I had it all checked out last year and was told that the old battery wiped out the sound bank, the battery has been replaced. I know you can order the Diagnostics ROM from www.winecountrysequential.com for $19.95. I have just lost interest in playing synth anymore so I am selling most of my synths. 6 separate audio outputs jacks which was an after-market kit was added by the previous owner. Has normal wear & tear of a keyboard of it’s age. Synth is being sold as is.” Link

“Here is a Sequential Circuits Six-Trak analogue synthesizer from 1983. It is one of the first multi-trimbal synthesizers equipped with MIDI and an on-board six-track digital sequencer. You can latch the arpeggiator and play along with sequencers in real time. The Six-Trak’s more famous sibling is the Prophet 5, widely used in progressive rock by bands such as Pink Floyd, Genesis and Radiohead.
This is in great shape with a few minor cosmetic damages. The back has paint chips while the front is in near perfect shape. On some of the keys there are sticker remains that did not peel off completely; these are dry and do not affect playing in the slightest. There are 49 keys that all work perfectly. Everything works as if it were brand new except for the memory; when you turn the Six-Trak off, you cannot save recorded tracks. This can be fixed by Wine Country Productions, the company that now handles these products.
This Six-Trak is very well kept and the wood on the sides is in better condition than most I have seen. It comes with a stand which is able to fold up for easy transportation. The back of it features standard MIDI In/Out connections, a Control Footswitch connection, and a standard 1/4 inch audio out connection. The original sticker with serial number is still in place. This also includes the Operation Manual, which I have yet to see with any other deal. The manual explains how to do everything possible on the Six-Trak. It also includes a Factory Program List which includes all 99 voices.
Though it is from 1983, I have hooked this up to my computer through a USB Interface and it sounded great; I was able to record with it. I am selling this so I can purchase a full 88 key keyboard to learn piano on.” Link

“Classic analog synth from Sequential Circuits.

Good physical condition. Few light scratches on back near logo. Overall I’d say it’s a 8.5 out of 10 physical condition. This Six-Trak has seen very light use. I purchased it last year, unit still had the original box. (Wish I had kept it)

Everything works as it should. The internal battery was replaced a few months ago and what are believed to be factory patches have been reloaded. Version 11 ROM is installed. 11 adds some great features and is a must in modern midi setups.” Link

“I thought I should keep this forever. It is extra cool. I bought it from a friend in the late 1980s or early ’90s. I kept it covered often, but not always. It caught some dust and smoke before, during, and after plenty of parties, jams, and recording adventures, So, it is not in sterile/Mint condition. It is, however, in Great condition with a few nicks on the wood and clean-able dusty dirt spots. Won’t you please give this treasure a good home ?” Link

“i have had it for about ten years. i bought it from a music pawn shop in nashville. it has never had a single issue and is very reliable and a remarkable sounding synth. like most things i have two of them and a bigger prophet so this is the nicer looking one. both are the same in every way and were bought with in one year of eachother. the pot is a little scratchy if cranked at high level. arpeggiator and all trimmings are in top shape. the arp is beyond amazing.one of my six track synths was for the road and one for the studio. this is the studio unit. i only give my customer the best gear and only gear from my own studio. your satisfaction is my main goal. packaging will be well done, this is a very nice unit. nothing is wrong with this unit in anyway, other than a few scratches and one slightly scratchy pot by my standards. all keys are perfect and the alesis pedal is included.” Link
