“The successor to the famed Opera 6.
2 DCO (12 voices), 3 LFO, SSM (2044 filter/2056 vca) goodness.
This thing was torn down, cleaned, recapped, calibrated, key bed supports redone, bus bars from keys to vel sensor board resoldered, osc mod, every knob conditioned, and all connectors hot glued to ensure long term and stage durability.
I assure you this is the finest DK600 on the market right now. All the tech work was done by my tech, Duane R. Balvage. ”

“SIEL DK600 Analog Synthesizer Working Great and Sounds Awesome! See Pics & Desc! Up for sale today is my personal Siel DK600. I do a lot of buying and reselling but I have owned this one since around 1994! It was dead when I received it, but it turned out just to be the battery. Fortunately, this keyboard never suffered serious corrosion as I was able to replace the battery long before there were any major issues. I’ve had this keyboard in the closet for about 10 years and just don’t use it too much due to DAW plugins so I have reluctantly decided to let it go. The battery was once again dead, so I just put a fresh one in a few weeks ago. Also, I reprogrammed it using a sysex dump someone made on the Internet from an Opera 6 and it’s working great! Does everything work? Well, I do not know for sure. I know the tape interface which is used to save sounds never really seemed to restore the sounds correctly, but the sysex dump does! The controls for the DCO, LFO, etc are responsive and you can save and load sounds using the keyboard. However, there may be advanced functions I am missing. Anyone who is familiar with these keyboards know they are finicky and frankly, was not designed for travelling in my opinion. Since I have owned it, I moved to from Texas to Washington state, and back to Texas. Each time, I had to crack it open and reseat some of the connectors. When changing the battery, I attempted to clean them all as well as I could. What am I saying? It’s possible something could shift when I send it, but the worst case will be opening it up, and pushing all of the connectors tight. Hopefully, they are clean enough to make it. We package everything VERY well, and will take every precaution we can to keep it safe! ” Link
” SIEL DK600 Analog Synthesizer. Oscillators and keys and controls seem to be functional and it produces interesting synthesizer sounds, very clean condition, nothing obviously physically broken and all knobs and rockers vary the sound and appear to be functional. Was purchased by a friend and traded to me for my studio in exchange for other items and services. Not much interest in a synth since we record blues and rock.
It has two programs, 11 and 12 loaded, and entering other numbers does not produce sound. Contact me if you have specific questions I will try to answer. I am willing to do a phone or FaceTime to discuss the operation of the unit.” Link
“Straight out of the 80s, Used, Cosmetically in great condition, cleaned up and looking nice, but does not work (reason unknown); all buttons and knobs seem to be clicking and spinning just fine” Link
“This SIEL poly synth was 100% rebuilt and restored, and looks almost new! This ebayer I bought it from, earlier this year is a well known analog synth and sound/electronics engineer out of Arizona I believe. The synth has been 100% restored with better then original very high quality components and parts where needed, and all issues were addressed and this 6 voice poly synth with two oscillators per voice sounds great and functions 100%” Link
“Up for sale is a vintage Siel DK600 keyboard. IT DOES NOT WORK!! I can’t stress this enough. I have sold broken items in the past and had buyers complain that they don’t work so I want to be perfectly clear about it. It powers up fine and some of the buttons seem to change things on the display but I can not get it to make any sound at all. It is being sold AS-IS FOR PARTS OR REPAIR. I am not a keyboard expert and I don’t know what’s wrong. I do know that back when it worked, I really liked how it sounded.” Link
“This is a very rare analog synth still in working condition. Everything works, keys, knobs, etc. While it has been in storage for the past 5 years, I pulled it out and it took about 30 minutes to warm up. Once warmed up, everything still works. There was a few crackles etc because of non use but after using it after a while, most of them went away. It has scratches, dings, some very minor rust spots (yeah, it’s made of metal) on the face plate, some wearing of lettering etc. Needs a good cleaning of contacts and knobs etc. It is very rare to find one of these in working condition.” Link
“For sale is a super rare Siel DK 600 in mint condition!!! It has just been fully serviced with new battery and power supply
as well as given a clean bill of health through master synth repairman at delltronics in Chicago. This is a super rare find for you.
You will probably never see one of these in this nice condition as well as just been serviced and tuned up. This synth sounds way
better than any rev 3 prophet 5. This is one of the only six voice dual oscillator poly synths with 100% SSM components!!! It includes
the legendary SSM 2044 filter the same one as on the Prophet 5 rev 2. Soundwise this beast smokes a prophet 5. Ive owned a rev 2
and a rev 3 and a rev 3 cant touch this bad boy. I really hate to sell it but I need the cash bad so some lucky buyer will get to enjoy
the glory of this awesome unit. This is a collectors piece as well since cosmetically it is in such nice condition. Buy it now before someone
else does and get yourself a way better sounding synth than a prophet rev 3 for a thousands less!!! ” Link
” People reading this listing are likely know about the Seil DK600. It is a classic. A search will turn up all of the detail. There are sites devoted to it. This synth was reconditioned about 2005 or 2006, wrapped in plastic, and stored in a closet. As far as I can tell listening with headphones, everything is working. I do not know how to set the knobs to make it do what I want it to, but twisting the knobs and punching switches causes good synth-sounds. The switches and potentiometers are, as far as I can tell, clean and noiseless.
It is in excellent condition. There are a few light scratches and a few small spots of corrosion, but it is–I would say–display quality or close to it. Like all electronic equipment, I sell it as is.” Auction ended. Click here to browse on eBay.
“Hi, I’m auctioning/selling my Siel DK-600 synth that has new potentiometers and a new battery. The DK-600 is in beautiful shape cosmetically. Very rare. Most I’ve seen are either full of scratches or battered and rusted. Functionally though, the DK-600 is not 100%. Though I’ve had lots of fun playing this synth that plays fine, it does have a couple known issues.
1. Whatever function it is, once a knob is turned and “activated”, you can’t go back to the zero setting. The best example is the cutoff frequency; once I turn the knob -it’s activated. As I turn it to the right the sound gets brighter as it should. When I turn the knob all the way to the left, when playing, sound is present, instead of being completely eliminated (should be no sound). This behaviour is true for all the knobs except maybe the “volume” and “tune”.
2. The tape save and load function does not seem to work.
With that said and other possible issues undiscovered, the DK600 is being sold for parts or repair and strictly AS-IS – no returns. The synth will be insured for the full purchase amount in case any visible physical damage occurs during transit.
It’s a great sounding synth. The filter sounds incredible! I’ve gotten some great sounds out of it which I will leave for the new owner. I don’t have the money nor time to try to fix it, so this is your chance to get hold of a rare synth in such rare nice condition! Could be an easy fix for the experienced tech.” Auction ended. “Siel DK600 synthesizer for parts or repair.
The body is in overall good condition w/ some minor wear.
Two physical keys are broken. All of the buttons and knobs are present. (the cutoff and resonance knobs seem to make strange stepped sounds when swept).
I believe a voice is dead as well because when you play, a note will not sound regularly.” Auction ended. Click here to browse on eBay.

“UP FOR AUCTION IS A REAL NICE VINTAGE SIEL DK 600 Synthesizer.
I DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS UNIT. WHEN I BOUGHT IT IT DID NOT WORK SO I BROUGHT IT TO A DELLTRONICS A SHOP WHERE I TRUST AND HAD ALOT OF EQUIPMENT REPAIRED. THE TECH IS ALSO A MUSICAIN AND HE SAID THAT THIS UNIT IS GREAT SYNTHESIZER AND A HIGHLY SOUT AFTER.
LIKE I SAID IT WAS NOT WORKING AND HE REBULT THE MAIN BOARD AND INSTALLED A NEW BATTERY AND THAT WAS $230.00. HE SAYS ALL IS GOOD AND IT SHOULD BE GOOD FOR YEARS TO COME.
I DO NOT HAVE THE TAPE AND IT IS NOT PROGRAMMED FROM WHAT I KNOW YOU HAVE TO KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING WITH THESE. YOU CAN BUY THE TAPES OR CDS ON EBAY OR WHEREVER. THEY ARE STILL AVALIBLE.” Auction ended. Click here to browse on eBay.
