“Das Gerät ist technisch einwandfrei, alle Tasten, Regler und Anschlüsse funktionieren. Lediglich beim Hin- und Herschieben des Lautstärkereglers hat es ein bisschen im Lautsprecher gekratzt…

Optisch hat es im Laufe der Jahre einige Gebrauchsspuren abbekommen (Kratzer etc.). Die linke Griffseite beim Pitch-Regler und die rechte Ecke hat es etwas schlimer erwischt (siehe Bilder). “This listing is for a Yamaha SHS 200 Keytar from the late 1980s. This is the hard to find 49 key variant of the more common SHS 10. The SHS 200 features mini keys like on the MicroKorg or some toy keyboards. The SHS 200 features 67 built in sounds and 67 rhythms, but it also has MIDI out, and can be used as a MIDI controller. This particular SHS 200 is in reasonably good condition. All functions work completely, including MIDI. There are a few cosmetic issues. First, there is no battery cover, it did not have one when I purchased it. Second, there is a hole on the end where the original strap mount was. This does not affect the functioning of the unit. There is a screw mounted on that end so a strap could still be used. This hole was also present when I purchased the unit. ” Link

This keyboard is pretty sweet and has tons of 80s retro vibe i hate to see it go.

It has loads of preset FM style synthesized sounds as well as a midi out port so

you can use anything you want as your sound source, has a pitch bend on the “neck”

and allows for more expressive playing. It has 49 mini-keys, built in speaker, 66 voices,

chord sequencer, 3 effects, and rhythm. Mine is in fairly good shape, a few scuffs here

and there and a little yellowing of the plastic due to age. It still has the battery door

and takes 6 “C” cells or or optional AC (not included) ” Link

“Much sought after Yamaha SHS-200 keytar. This is the larger, pro version of Yamaha’s keytar range – the smaller SHS-10 was OK, but this model rocks with more keys, more sounds, and a better all-round playing experience.

You see very few of these on eBay. I’m selling mine reluctantly as I have moved on to a Roland keytar instead.

This is a very well looked after instrument with the original Yamaha strap, the original box and power supply.

The SHS-200 comes with onboard FM sounds, or you can hook it up to another module via MIDI (this is what I mainly used it for). It runs off 6 batterys, or mains if you want.

In excellent condition. All keys, buttons, knobs work. Important: IT HAS A BATTERY COVER. Many instruments you’ll find have the cover missing. All sounds work. It’s not received very much use – been on stage a couple of times only. No yellowing of the plastic finish. Nice bright LED display.

“For sale here is a vintage Yamaha SHS-200 Keytar. This is a great little keyboard that can be played on a table or worn like a guitar. The keyboard is 100% functional. All keys and buttons have a smooth action and work. The LED display functions fully. This is similar to the Yamaha SHS-10, but it is the better model.

As you will see looking through the pictures below, the keytar has had some damage to it. This occurred in shipping to me when I purchased it a while ago. I have meticulously repaired it using professional class epoxy glues to match the original colors of the plastic. To make sure this does not happen again, I have custom cut some styrofoam to go around the ends so that no damage will occur when I ship it to the buyer.” Link

“Up for sale is the Yamaha SHS 200 synth/keytar from the 80′s that I modified. It is now painted a white color with custom soviet style lettering in red and black. I have added white l.e.d.’s below the keyboard, in where the speakers are, and on the front of the keyboard by the pitchbender. The l.e.d.’s run off a 9 volt battery that would be on the back of the keyboard. I have also included a guitar strap. The keyboard runs on either a standard walwart (included), or off I believe 6 C batteries. As you can see by the pictures this synth looks sick and on stage it looks even better! Originally this had a cheesy synth in it but for some reason that isn’t working correct any more so that is why I’m selling this as a keytar controller. All the controller functions like octave up and down and midi channel select still work great and all the keys (mini keys) work excellent. This was made to be on the stage and with these mods it is even more impressive on stage. I wish I could keep it but I am needing money right now so I hope it goes to someone who will rock it on stage. This is a good alternative to the super over priced roland keytar controllers.” Link

I have tested it out thoroughly and it works perfectly. No broken or malfuctioning keys here. The strap is included as shown. The only cosmetic issue to be mentioned is a neat white square spot on the first key from the left.
