“Roland JD-800 Polyphonic Synthesizer, fully working. Collection only.
I’m the 2nd owner of this JD-800 and it’s only had studio use. All functions and features have been tested and are working. The last photo shows when I gave the unit a full overhaul in 2017, which included cleaning the numerous sliders and replacing the internal battery.
There are some scuffs and 2 small cracks on the case, otherwise this unit is in very good working condition. I know it’s a cliché on eBay, but I’m really reluctant to sell this synth. I’ve spent many an evening lost in the ethereal dreamscapes the JD-800 can take you on, but I can’t justify the space it takes up in the studio anymore.

“Roland JD 800 in excellent condition- this is a beast of a synth and sounds analog even though it’s digital. I’ve had it for over 5 years and it works flawlessly. I got the red glue issue fixed. Basically when these synths get very warm in summer for example the glue can leak and stick the keys so they don’t work. I’ve fixed this issue so you should have no further problems.” 
“This synth is in excellent condition. The keys feel great and are responsive to velocity and aftertouch. All sliders are smooth. LCD screen is fully functional. MIDI works well. All jacks work and sound great. The top menu button needs to be pressed harder to make it register, but otherwise all buttons work perfectly. There’s no issues with red glue under the keys. I was having trouble with the retractable cover on the sound cards. I’ve taped them back and haven’t had issues since. There are a some light scratches, but nothing unexpected for a synth this age. I included a photo of where it’s most affect on the back corner. It was recently serviced and cleaned. ”

“this is used roland jd 800 keyboard I got this keyboard from a studio .I got this kyboard without keybed .the previous owner use this keyboard as midi .I just put the Yamaha keybed just for cosmetic.so basically you need original keybed from roland to work it as a keyboard .but you can use it as midi.” 
“Selling a Roland JD-800 in pretty nice shape! This synth works as a module, but the keybed does not work anymore. The failure-prone flexible ribbon connector is shot. However, I did spend three whole days removing the infamous red goo and re-gluing the key weights so the next owner doesn’t have to burn their hands with lye solution like I did. 😉

” Roland JD800 in excellent condition. The keybed has been restored/cleaned to remove all traces of “red glue” and the weights re-attached (quite a job!). The visual condition is excellent 9/10 I would say and couple of small marks. All working as it should all bar the aftertouch (which has never really worked on any JD800 I have owned!).”

“This Roland JD-800 looks to work; did some quick testing of the oscillators, filters, envelope generators, and VCA’s and didn’t see any problems. You can see the orange instrument lights and LCDs all light up appropriately. All knobs and sliders seem to work just fine, but many of the piano-keys currently stick together, a few don’t go down at all, and some don’t sound. This is due to the Roland factory piano key-glue softened while it was otherwise being safely stored; the glue just simply breaks down and the weights refasten themselves onto the bottom of the keybed or the keys next to them. The case has some cracks in it near the system keys (see photo) and a chunk has broken out. All the buttons around it appear to work fine. I hear a loose piece of plastic rattling, but haven’t found it when I opened it up.”
