“You are looking at a 100% working and fully functional vintage Moog Rogue analog synthesizer. This will give you that classic Moog sound (especially the amazing bass and filter section). This synthesizer is used on stage by many touring artists like Arcade Fire and Galactic.
This one is in amazing shape and the parts that commonly wear out like the sliders, slider caps, switches, and switch knobs have all been replaced. They are as good as the day this sucker rolled out of the factory. The pots have also been cleaned and have no scratchiness and smooth operation. The oscillators stay in tune and don’t seem to drift.
The stock red power indicator LED has been custom modded to a blue LED which matches the blue slider caps. Physically it is in great shape for its age with only minor blemishes (make sure to click on the images below for extra large versions). Please note that the serial # has been blurred out in the photos below.
This thing is way cool and is a wonderful way to get that true Moog sound, filters and all.

“This unit is in 100% working condition. Some of the sliders are harder to move than others, but that seems to be the norm with these synths at this age. They all work perfectly with no dirty connections at all.
This unit is in excellent cosmetic condition and shows very little signs of wear, it looks almost new! It has all of the original slider caps and knobs.
Inside of the unit has been cleaned (it didn’t need much), and as you can see from the pictures below it’s in great condition inside. The infamous black gunk was not in this unit when I got it recently, and since the previous owner has had it since the 80′s, I assume it was cleaned out early on, as the inside looks almost factory fresh!
It comes with a power supply (though not the original, which didn’t survive the 80′s) of proper voltage and connector end. The connector is an 1/8″ looking plug which is unique for power supplies, so these are hard to come by.
This unit has only had two previous owners before me. The owner before me had it since the mid 1980′s til now and kept it in excellent condition.
Also included is the original manual, called “Technical Service Information”. It has the schmatic and parts list, as well as a brief overview of the unit and instructions for tuning and basic maintence and repair. There are also several overlays for different presets. They bare the Taurus II logo as it was the same synth but had foot pedals instead of the keyboard. I can email you scans of them so you can print out your own templates if you like. There is a printed one that I have that has some settings from the previous owner.” Link

To be totally honest, i don’t think i deserve this, knowing how a skilled operator could make this thing really sing, so if i sell it i could then afford to buy one of those “fun” boxes that are everywhere today, leaving this beautifully crafted and exquisite device to be fully and correctly used.

‘Greetings, Moog Rogue Synthesizer. I am the original owner. I bought it new in 1983. Played maybe five gigs back then. Since has been in four climate controlled studios. Only used for special effects and to blow people away. This analog unit will shake your house and scare your neighbors. Compared to newer keyboards costing thousands, They simply can’t copy the sounds. There is an unbelieveable warmth from this synthesizer. The Rogue was highly underated yet, The best professionals collect these. I regretfully need money and have to let it go. I will someday find another. Works just fine. Will come with after market power supply. Never moded. Only touched by five players in it’s lifetime. Will come packed in it’s original box. “Moog Rogue for sale in amazing condition. All sliders, knobs and keys operate in great condition. The keys feel nice and new since I’ve only played the keyboard a few times cause I usually have this guy hooked via CV/Gate to MIDI control. I’ve notice that the cutoff slider gets a little scratchy as you get to the top or bottom of the slider so it may need to be cleaned. That is the only slider that I’ve noticed that may need cleaning though. I have all the original packaging and all documents that were included. This little analog synth is known for its amazing bass sounds. What makes this Rogue a great buy is that it’s been cleaned internally and the foam layer has been removed. All Moog Rogues (and Opus3s) had a layer of foam to separate the faceplate and the circuit board. This synth has been de-foamed and cleaned to prevent foam from causing any damage.
Has CV and S-TRIG/GATE connectors to be controlled externally. You could use a MIDI to CV converter to control via MIDI (Kenton Pro Solo would work nicely).

“This is a Vintage Moog Rogue Synthesizer. They were made around 1982 and have that real analogue Moog sound. There are two wave forms a sawtooth for funky bass lines and a square for soaring leads. I love this instrument and don’t want to see it go but I need some money. I have performed with it several times and it sounds just great. So many people tell me how great the Moog sounds. I bought this instrument a few years ago and and in that time I had a friend trip over the power supply. I had to get a new power supply and have the jack fixed. When this work was done the synth was cleaned as well. That is the last time the instrument was serviced and their might be a few fuzzy things in the sound upon delivery, but if you let it sit and warm up the keyboard will sound amazing, but it will need to be cleaned again eventually. The board is over all in great condition, no cosmetic blemishes, all knobs and switches work great. This auction comes with a carrying case, a hundred dollar value included, and the power supply. There is no original booklet to go with it. No return policy. Remember that vintage synths are prone to go in and out of tune, its part of the agreement when you decide to play analogue synthesizers.” Link
