“Up for grabs in this listing is a superb example of the awesome Sequential Circuits Pro One vintage analogue mono-synth.

The synth is fully functional and in perfect working condition. Original wood also in excellent condition. It has been in my possession for almost 20 years and has only been used in my studio.” Link

“Up for grabs in this listing is this superb example Sequential Circuits Pro One vintage analogue mono synth complete with the original box and packaging…….serial number 100-1979 ……so it’s one of the good early Pro One synths, just after the very early models which had power supply issues.

This Pro One has just come back from the technicians workshop having undergone a full health check. It had a problem with hanging notes. The problem was traced to poor connections on the Gate switch. All the switch contacts have now been cleaned and all tested perfect. A copy of the engineers report will be included in the auction.

This one has been kept in superb condition and even though it’s been used, you’d struggle to notice when you look at it. The internals are perfect and the cosmetic appearance is excellent. Under a microscope you may notice a tiny blemish here and there but all in all, this synth is perfect. There’s no scratches, no dents, no cracked keys, no ciggie burns, the wood is great. It has been kept in its original box and packaging all its life when it’s not being used and this shows.” Link

“For Sale is my Pro-One in complete working condition. One of only 10,000 ever made. It’s a little dusty and would probably benefit from a bit of a clean inside and out. Been sat in my bedroom the last year or so barely played. Crazy great sounding synth as used by Emily Haines from Metric and loads of others” Link

“Howdy, Here’s my sweet sounding Sequential Circuits Pro One, serial number 5878.
Unit has J-wire keyboard and has lived in my climate controlled and smoke free studio for years.
I made a complete run through all switches and controls and have cleaned and properly lubricated EVERYTHING…including the keyboard contacts.
It didn’t need much, but I wouldn’t feel right without making certain everything is in full working order…and it is.
Also, I replaced the power cord as the old one was…well, old.
I’m also including a manual, (photocopied and bound from Wine Country), and a never used MIDI / CV converter interface (unfortunately, no power supply, but included documentation tells what to use).” Link

Link

“This Sequential Circuits is a wonderful analog synthesizer in good working condition. If your looking at this you most likely know what it is and how rare they are becoming. This one is even more rare and as far as I know one of a kind because it was custom painted a nice midnight blue. The only other thing he did was shorten the power cable(not sure why?)These are bass and lead monsters.Looks great for its age and I’ve babied it big time. Dual osc’s,plenty opf LFO options, built in arpeggiator ,sequencer, and much more ,to me much more versitle than a moog, korg,or roland.for more experimentation and sound exploration. If you need more info, send me an email or check out the link below. Some pots are slightly scratchy, keys are probably J-wire cause they are not great, I don’t mind, don’t use it that way, cause I’ve always triggered it via CV-Gate.Sold As Is due to age.Works good though.Did I mention its Blue!!!!” Link

” You are viewing a rare, vintage Sequential Circuits Pro One Synthesizer Model 100.

Fully refurbished, tested and tuned.” Link

“Hello, today I am selling my Pro-one. This is a legendary synth in it’s own right. It has been abused by artists such as Depeche Mode, and New Order. This one has been restored by Wine Country, and comes with a manual.
Cosmetically, it looks great! The wood sides are missing, but you can buy replacements, pretty cheap” Link

“Up for bid is a fully functional Sequential Circuits Model 100 Pro One analog synthesizer. This unit has a J-Wire keyboard. A previous owner sloppily replaced some of the J-Wires, this has been fixed. There is a crack on the plastic panel that is visible in the pictures below. Also, the Osc A and Osc B controls on the Mixer section are scratchy. Otherwise, this synth works like a champ, and the keyboard contacts were recently cleaned so all notes trigger perfectly.” Link

“Sequential Circuits Pro One Analogue Synthesizer, Complete with manuals and circuit diagrams.

This synth is in near mint condition and has just been serviced. New mains lead fitted, keyboard rubbers replaced, and re vanished wood work. This Pro One is the J Wire Version which is much sort after (vastly better that the rubber keyboard type) A classis Synth with audio in and CV gate functions; it produces some of the best base sounds ever. (Vince Clark of Yazoo used one for years just for the base sounds)

Reluctant sale due to relocation so grab yourself a fantastic synth.” Link

“This is a Sequential Circuits Pro One analog synthesizer. I’d argue that this is one of the three finest American monosynths ever made along with the Minimoog and the Odyssey. I hate to part with this, but I have too many synths and something needs to go, so this is it. I’m extremely hesitant to let this go, because I know I will never see a finer example of a Pro One. A lot of people talk about synths that are in excellent condition, but this one really is – just look at the photos. Hardly a scratch on the original wooden side panels. A small smudge on the rear Pro One logo. An almost unnoticeable unnevenness in some of the keys only because it was completely rebushed a few months ago. Otherwise it is flawless. Everything works great and after it’s warmed up for a minute or two, it will stay in tune and make some of the sweetest Curtis tones you’ll ever hear. I purchased this from the original owner last year and it was (and still is) in great shape. This has the J-wire keyboard, so it still plays nicely and has a good feel. It also comes with the original manual (NOT a photocopy) as well as a vintage, custom hardshell case designed for the Pro One. The foam in the case has definitely been used, but is not pilly or flaky and still works just fine. A perfectionist may wish to replace it though as it does show age. Overall this is a great Pro One package – and the starting bid is right – well below what some of these jokers on eBay want for these excellent synths. ” Link

“People looking at this ad should already know the deal with the Pro One.

It is one of the fattest warmest monophonic synths of all time.

This one comes in good condition with the superior J-wire keyboard.

Very reluctant sale.” Link

“Believe what you have read and heard, this baby is super phat and super warm:) Seriously though, here is an awesome mono synth with the much better j-wire keyboard that just had the rubber key stops replaced at Wine Country Productions(Sequential Circuits) so this synth is ready to go for another 30 years. Sounds Awesome. Great condition for its age. Serial #1434.” Link

“Originally purchased in 1987, this has has light use mostly spending time in the case – the only modification being the replacement of the fraying original mains lead, and comes from a smoke and pet-free home. This bid includes the synthesizer, the lined case and an original advert (has some holes punched in it – otherwise very good condition). The synth has been tested and works fine – also tested using a Midi – CV interface – some keys may be a little stiff if left unplayed for a while. There are some scratch maks on the back as pictured. The case has some rust on the latches, but this doen’t affect the operation. ” Link

“This is the best Pro-one you will ever see. Fully Serviced, Re-Brushed With Custom Knobs. Not a single Mark on her apart from a slight Scratch underneath.
No tuning problems and keyboard feels amazing unlike most Pro-one’s. Comes with Original Manual. One for Collectors this Unit has been looked after like a baby
and is a true Commodity.” Link

“This synth is in VG+ cosmetic condition and all of the electronics work fine. They have the classic Sequential sound with great filters. There is however a problem with the keyboard, which is you have to hit the keys very hard (especially out of “drone” or continuo mode) to get them to play. We therefore are selling this with the following understandings: (a) A perfect application might be just to use the electronics without the keys, there are CV and gate inputs on the back. (b) You might try to clean the keyboard contacts, we sprayed them with ChemWash but that didn’t seem to do much, there may be some problem with the electro-magnetic connection. (c) You might unhook the keys from the synth engine, they’re only attached with a ribbon cable, and get a new set of keys, use the synth engine to augment another Pro-One, use a different set of keys, or even rack mount it ala Studio Electronics. (d) You could just bang the keys hard!” Link

“or your consideration is a very clean Sequential Circuits Pro-One.
The unit has been gently used over the years and shows very little cosmetic wear(see pics).
This is a very early serial number: 0850.
The unit was recently serviced by a professional synth tech, works perfectly, and should be good to go for years.
The side panels have been replaced with a new custom set.
This listing includes the Pro-One only.” Link

“Here Is An Ultra RARE Original Sequential Circuits Pro One Analog Synth In Working Vintage Condition.

—-100% Original.

This Pro One Is one of the first 200 ever made and is the J-wire Version.(See Pictures).

Made So Early It Has No Front “Sequential” Badges —No Signs they were ever there!! Either #65 or #165 ever made out of 10,000.

This One has some keys that are uneven but does produce the sounds listed in the photocopied manual.

I am not an expert on these vintage synths but this one fired right up with no problems.

It Has Beautiful Dark Wood End Pieces that Look Hand Selected.

The Mobius sequencer is not included but was used to test functionality.

As With any vintage electronics item this synth is sold as-is.” Link

“READ THIS!!! Up for sale is a Sequential Circuits Pro One monophonic synthesizer. Everything works except for the arpeggiator and there is a humming noise. All knobs and switches are intact.
Cosmetically the synth is in good if not great shape. A few scratches as pictured. The wooden panels are in good shape. Fourth to the last key slightly hangs lower. All keys work and it stays in tune. As for as the humming noise, sequential explains this as a ground loop. I think it might be the power cable. The hum will disappear when using a ground lift, but Sequential does not advise using a ground lift (in other words it’s a no no). The hum noise does lower at times and the keyboard is still usuable. Apart from the hum, it sounds good and puts out some great bass sounds. Could use a service. I was going to send it out, but have decided to invest in something newer. I have owned this synth for a little over a month and got it on ebay. I am not selling it for what I paid for it. My loss, your gain. The synth is sold as is.” Link

“SEQUENTIAL CIRCUITS – PRO-ONE — ANALOG SYNTHESIZER — WITH MTG PRO-ONE REPLACEMENT CPU CHIP – (http://www.musictechnologiesgroup.com/ ) —– IN EXCELLENT CONDITION!! 100% FUNCTIONAL!!! Some marks and scratches on wood end pieces. Keys and face looks great! Some scratches on the bottom and it looks like the previous owner tried to cover it up with some black marker pen, not a big deal, you will not be looking at the bottom when you are playing it. The power cord has some electric tape on it, so I am assuming that there might be some tears in the power cord sheath, but not a problem, powers fine and doesn’t effect the functionality. Sounds just like a Prophet 5 Rev. 3 , same CEM chips in both, so simply amazing!!!! The CPU upgrade adds more sequencer memory, more arpeggiator functions and the ability to add MIDI very easily, if you ever decide to add MIDI to the PRO-ONE. The Original CPU chip is included, it is functional. — Selling due to the fact that I need the money.” Link

“Up for grabs is a Sequential Circuits Pro One. Serial Number 91!!! This is the J-Wire Version with the Better filter. It is tuned and calibrated. Everything works as is should and I have tested thoroughly. The only minor flaw is that one key is raised slightly higher than the rest of keys, and if you play the one to the left of it super hard, it sometimes gets stuck under the raised one. Wonderful Synth! I hate to let it go, but I must. My Loss your Gain! Please ask questions before bidding. Sold AS-IS due to the nature of shipping a vintage analog synth. The item will be professionally packed, and shipped insured to the full value. I will either ship by fedex, UPS, or USPS. if you have a preference please let me know. Happy Bidding! This is an amazing synth, and the modulation routing possibilites are absurd! Super thick bass lines. Killer Leads. Fatty Detuned synths. Crazy abstract noises. FIltered Instruments! Trigger the Sequencer with an external drum machine, and make songs in seconds! This item comes with a custom wooden hard case if you would like it. Shipping will be more if you want the case. ” Link

This auction is for a Pro One analog monophonic synthesizer.

This synthesizer is in excellent cosmetic condition. The keys do not stick and are all level. The control knobs are all there and function. The board is 26 years old and is original, and I’ve never had it rebuilt.

I fired it up (after 20 years) and played it for about a half hour. At first I heard some crackling, but after a few minutes everything appeared to be working smoothly and I didn’t hear any crackling when I played it. The second octave F key occasionally cut out if I pressed too firmly. Other than that, the synthesizer played well.

I am the original owner. I have been storing it in its anvil Flight case until the last two years. I removed it from the case so I could use the case to haul something else. During this time, I have kept the Pro One in protected storage.

The operation manual is included.” Link

“Gorgeous Pro One, nearly new old stock – the keyboard is actially still a bit stiff ’cause it’s been played so few times!! – with custom-built UC-1 Sequencer

The Sequential Circuit Pro One is a monophonic version of the Prophet 5, and features the same Curtis chips based filter and oscillators. It can be heard on countless recordings by Porcupine Tree, Depeche Mode / Vince Clark, Marillion, Prodigy, etc…

- Monophonic Analog 36 Keys keyboard
- 2 VCOs, 4 selectable octaves
- Choice of saw/pulse/square/triangle waves + 1 noise generator
- Filter with ASDR, cutoff, and resonance controls
- LFO with sawtooth, triangle, and square modes
- Extensive modulation controls
- Arpegiattor with “up” and “up/down” mode (Muse, anyone?)
- External input to use the filter as a stand-alone unit (try that with a guitar!)
- Custom built 10 track sequencer (I never get tired of playing “On the Run” by Pink Floyd with that thing” Link

“Up for grabs is a Sequential Circuits Pro One. One of the first 100 made!!! This is the J-Wire Version with the Better filter. It is tuned and calibrated. Everything works as is should and I have tested thoroughly. It also has a professionally rebuilt power supply, so power supply is no longer mounted to the circuit board, but mounted to chasis. Wonderful Synth! I hate to let it go, but I must.” Link

“SEQUENTIAL CIRCUITS

PRO~ONE

SYNTHESIZER

MODEL: 100 Synthesizer

SERIAL: 100-1502

!!! SYNTHWOOD CUSTOM – VERSION !!!

KEYBOARD UPGRADE by virtual-music

Link

“The Pro One is a powerful analog monophonic synth. It has flexible modulation routing, a two-channel sequencer, and a killer arpeggiator.

The synth is in EXCELLENT cosmetic condition, but is missing the wood sides. Functionally, the synth powers up but produces no sound. It has the J-wire keyboard. The synth has all its interior parts and chips and is ready for restoration or life as a parts donor.” Link

This one powers up but the keyboard is flaky and does not work. Can be controlled by an external synth. It is being sold AS IS.” Link

“For your consideration is a very clean Sequential Circuits Pro-One.
The unit has been gently used over the years and shows light cosmetic wear(see pics).
The unit was recently serviced by a professional synth tech, and should be good to go for years.
The key bushings could stand to be replaced, but that is up to the next owner’s discretion, as they don’t affect the keys from triggering.
Also, one key rests slightly lower than the rest.
This listing includes the Pro-One only.” Link

“This auction is for one Sequential Circuits Pro-One Monophonic Analog Synthesizer. The raw sound is super strong on this synth! I have to say, it is in great shape and looks stunning. This is a late-model Pro-one which means two things; it has the membrane style keyboard bed (which seems to be non-responsive for the most part) and it has a much better power supply than the original. Wine Country Sequential could probably fix it up, or you could of course sequence it outside via another synth, midi to cv, or computer software like volta or silent way.” Link

“SC Pro One Synthesizer, optisch und technisch super, Tastatur vom Fachmann frisch überarbeitet, keine Kontaktprobleme! Keine Garantie und Gewährleistung, da Privatverkauf.” Link

“Its time to sell my old friend, my Pro 1. She’s never been gigged and needs a few tweaks to bring her up to pritine condition. Sonicaly she’s fine, all the keys play and all the controls work but she needs about 10 new keyboard bushes. I’ve replaced about 15 of these last year and I should have changed them all. As you can see the keys are not straight because of the perished bushes. Once these are replaced the keys will look perfect. Also I lost the original fuse holder and had the have another fitted which is different from the original. The serial number of the synth is 4118 and is the model with the transformer fitted to the case. The case has a few scratches, nothing major. I have the original manual which I’ll include.” Link

“Rare and vintage Sequential Circuits Pro One monophonic analog synthesizer. Fully functional and looks near mint, front is very clean, on a small scratch on the back. This is the better J-wire keyboard version. Recently serviced, all keys trigger nicely and no scratchy pots. Kept in smoke free home studio. Comes with original manual and spare CEM chips, 3310, 3320, 3330, and 3340. I believe they are all functional except 3340, but no guarantees. They are valuable replacements in case any of the CEM chips inside die.” Link

“I’ve owned this synth for probably 15 years and never gigged w/ it. It makes sounds but, it hasn’t been used regularly for atleast 5 years and could use a good cleaning of pots and controllers. Manual is not pictured but, it will be shipped with the synth.” Link

“This auction is for my Sequential Circuits Pro One. I just got it back from Wine Country Productions, Inc. where it was fully cleaned, teasted & serviced. It works almost perfectly, OSC B takes about 1-2 minutes to warm up at at times.” Link

This is a classic, bonefide, vintage 80′s, dual oscillator, mono synth. I have owned this machine, from new, for over thirty years. I bought it in 1981, when I was playing in a synth band, and used it through the nineties and beyond, when I moved on to writing and recording dance music. It is a must-have instrument for anyone in a synth/dance/new wave indie band, producing mind-bending, gut-crushing, angular phatness (excuse the cliches, I’m getting excited!) that you can sample to your techno-heart’s content, rack-up in the studio, or place centre-stage at your gigs.
The machine itself doesn’t exactly have a brand-new feel to it, but that’s the beauty of it. This is an instrument for the purist. The keys are uneven (look at the picture showing the machine from the front), giving it bags of character, and the knobs and pots are a little playful, and sometimes seem to have a mind of their own when it comes to who’s bossing the output sound. But again, that’s the beauty of this machine – the randomness of what it produces is sometimes it’s trademark, and it’s creatively inspiring. I often plug the headphones in and within minutes I’m lost in a sonic mind-warp – it simply begs you to get creative and get bending, filtering, durging, and grinding out the most unfeasible, chemical sounds. This is where having a sampler on your side is a good idea because, be warned, sometimes you just can’t remember how you made that sonic cacophony before you went to bed lastnight, and kick yourself that you didn’t plug your digital recorder in to burn that noise into your sound library for good!” Link

“THE SYNTH IS IN 100% PERFECT WORKING CONDITION (NO SCRATCHY POTS , NO NOISY KEYS , EVERYTHING PERFECT AND IN BEAUTIFUL COSMETIC CONDITION . THE FLIGHT CASE IS NEW, CUSTOM MADE FOR THE PRO ONE (£150) AND ULTRA STRONG FULL FLIGHT CASE. “This auction is for a classic Sequential Circuits ProOne monosynth,in need of repair.
I bought it with the intention of repairing it myself ,but never got around to it.
Firstly it is repairable, and would make a good project for someone looking for this classic.
Or for someone looking for a wealth of spare
parts at a good price.
The main problems are:
1)The main power switch is gone ,and the printed circuit area where is was removed is damaged,(see photo)
2)The J-wire key board is not connected to the motherboard, and the connector block on the board has been removed. Also not sure if the keyboard works properly if connected ,but it might.
The main positive points are:
1)All main components ,IC’s,etc. have been checked by a qualified tec.,and are working,

2)Current flow through the motherboard has been checked and is consistent,so the mother board is functional.
3)All knobs,keys ,J-wires,switches,mod wheels,are intact and present.
So it is repairable.Im am selling it with no power plug connected.
Even if only purchased for hard-to-find spare parts you would save alot of cash .” Link

“The almighty PRO ONE in remarkable good state, fully working , looking gorgeous, fantastic well card condition.

it’s an ablsolute modulation monster analog synth with 2 osc, arpeggiator, sequencer, fantastic filter ,
the most flexible mod routing. it does it all from DEEPEST bass to unbelievable FX.

THE KEYS ARE SERVICED & FINE, THE KNOBS NOISE FREE, EVERYTHING WORKS AS IT SHOULD !
100% TOP NOTCH MACHINE !

you want ONE really good synth? then it’s the SCI PRO ONE ***

PRIVATE SALE WITHOUT WARRANTIES BUT THE MACHINE IS JUST AS GOOD AS DESCIBED AND PICTURED.

“We are selling a vintage Sequential Circuits Pro One synthesizer. The synth is in mint condition. It has been kept in a smoke free, commercial recording studio since the original date of purchase. The synth functions perfectly. All keys, knobs, and sliders move smoothly and the pots do not crackle. Cosmetically the synth is in near mint condition. The synth has also recently been serviced and tuned up. The synth also includes a Calzone flight case.” Link

“Pro-One
Sequential Circuits Synthesizer with Flight-Case and Manual.

I bought this synth in 1989 off my then boss at the time. Iv never played it and it has been traveling around with me in its box ever since.
If your looking at this, then you probably know only 10,000 were even made. And the sound that comes out of this machine is truly amazing
and used on many well know tunes in the 80′s and early 90′s.

• Used but in Fantastic condition, the same as when I bought it.
• Not played since 1989
• I had it serviced 2 years ago with the intent of selling on the bay – see picts
• Perfect working order
• Only bit of damage is a surface scratch to the underside – see pict.
• Flight Case built for the synth
• Operation Manual, all pages in tact some pencil markings and a little rough around the edges.
• Please Note: Serial Number is missing, and I know this went walkabout when I had it serviced. The guy wanted to buy it.
This is NOT stolen and I take full responsibility for the statement.
• J-wire version, I know this cos the serial number was between 4 and 5000
• Any questions, just ask. Bear in mind I know nothing about Synths.” Link

“Incredibly Beautiful Sequential Circuits Pro One. It was made 1983! This synth is in immaculate condition inside and out. Every function has been thoroughly tested and operates how it should. Tuning is very stable, and nicely in tune. The switches and pots have no dust in or on them at all. The wood has been oiled recently and is in Excellent Condition. I have looked inside a number of analog synthesizers, and have rarely if ever seen one as clean and new looking as this one. The sound is phenomenal.” Link

“Up for bid is a rare and highly sought after Sequential Circuits Pro One monosynth. This unit is functional and in excellent cosmetic condition considering its age. The Pro-One has never been gigged, it has been housed in a smoke free environment. Although the unit is in pristine condition, it does exhibit common signs of usage; one key intermittently drops a bit lower than the rest of the keys and several keys feel a bit sticky, but does not affect the function/sound of the synth. The on and off switch also may need to be replaced since it sometimes is a bit sticky (should not be a costly repair). The wood paneling has minor blemishes and front plate needs some adhesive on a small area of the upper right hand corner (please see pictures). The unit might need a tune up (some crackling pots) since it was housed in a smoke-free home for years with minimal use – several technicians throughout the internet will service this unit and give it a thorough cleaning/tune up.” Link

“SEQUENTIAL CIRCUITS SCI PRO-ONE VINTAGE ANALOGUE SYNTHESISER

Wood side cheeks are in great condition.” Link

“In good condition for it’s age and full working order.

It has recently been professionally serviced, all contacts, pots and switches have been cleaned
and the keyboard has had a full set of new rubbers.” Link

This listing is for a Sequential Circuits Pro One vintage analog synthesizer. The unit is 100% functional and is in nice cosmetic shape as well. I just had it completely serviced (tuned/contacts cleaned and all brand new bushings installed). It plays great! Well maintained in a smoke free home studio.” Link

“Here we have a legend of analog; this SCI Pro-One is in outstanding, near mint condition. This item has been fully tested, Serviced by the Premire Vintage Synth shop in the San Francisco area Backstage Service and Repair, and works terrific! ON the receipt, when I received the unit back from them in the notes section it states that this unit is in PRISTEEN Condition Inside and Out! There is NO Rust anywhere. A true investment for the future that will only continue to grow in Value! Also my pictures are HORRIBLE and this Beautiful unit can NOT be properly reprezented by them. I am putting this item as for Local Pickup Only, as I would like to show it to a collector that is local to my area, and not take any chances with shipping companies. This unit was stored in a Anvil Case since new. The case is included if you want it, but the case needs restoration, as the packing material inside broke down and turned to a Grandular sticky mess, BUT it surely protected the unit for all those years. Most of the packing material is scraped out, but In my estimation it should be totally Cleaned out and possibly painted on the inside before putting in new packing materials the crap inside the case is messy, and I do not want to get this Beautiful Instrument anywhere near it until that is done. This Auction is available for Local Pickup Only.” Link

“This one is in excellent cosmetic condition and working 100%. It has been fully serviced and needs nothing. This one has the J-Wire keyboard.

Cosmetically- The original walnut sides were pretty beat up so they have been replaced with new ones (walnut.)

Internally- Apart from being totally disassembled and cleaned, all potentiometers & switches have been cleaned and are noise free. The power supply has been recapped and it’s been fully calibrated. The keyboard was disassembled, cleaned, and has new bushings so the action feels great.” Link

“I thought this was the coolest thing I’d just about ever seen when I first saw it. It was a good price a year ago so I bought it. I cleaned it (without opening it up) and have used it 20 to 30 times at home. I have also researched a little. It has J-wire keys. The serial # is 0677, a early model. Everything works and looks great on this peice. The knobs are still tight and turn smoothly & there is no crackle in the signal at any point. All pots look & sound clean and crisp. I never used the CV in & outs or any other plug on the back besides the Audio In… and I never figured out it’s purpose. I know the audio out works well so i imagine the others work as well too. I hit one of the keys too ruff one time and sort of lost the little bit of tension the key had . It’s like it slipped off the Jwire or something. The key still works well but is a little looser and sits a little higher (you can see the key in the 3rd picture). It does not wiggle however…it’s still pretty tight. Besides that …this Pro One is in Very Good condition.” Link

Link

“For sale a Sequential Circuits Pro One synthesiser. Owned by me from new, this Pro One has hardly ever been used and has been kept in careful storage. It is in very good condition and in full working order.” Link

“This item is sold as is and does need some attention: One of the knobs for the keyboard amount control is missing but still operable, some of the other potentiometers occasionally crackle and the power cord is frayed, but still works, and the pitch drifts as we used to call ‘elephanting’ back in the day. So I think this is for someone who is prepared to do some tinkering. ” Link

“I bought this Pro One on Ebay a few weeks ago, and have completely reconditioned and tuned it so it plays like it did in 1982!

The serial # is 7790, built sometime in mid 1982. This synth contains the desirable J-wire keyboard and the power supply transformer is bolted securely to the chassis, avoiding the problems that affected units with S/N under 1500.

I have personally gone through this Pro One top to bottom, and those who read my threads on synth forums know, I’m downright anal when I restore vintage synths. Some of the things I’ve done to this one:

1. Thoroughly cleaned and applied Deoxit Gold to the keyboard bus bars and J-wires
2. Cleaned all switches and pots with Deoxit Faderlube. All knobs and switches function like new, no scratchiness or erratic operation.
3. Replaced all electrolytic and tantalum capacitors on the circuit board.
4. Added heatsinks to the +5 and +15 regulators.
5. Replaced the noise transistor. Originally the noise generator was quiet on this unit, now it’s LOUD.
5. Tuned the oscillators and keyboard DAC tracking, and verified tuning against my digital synths.
6. Replaced the gate LED, it’s bright now.
7. Applied the ground loop fix. Some Pro Ones have a hum due to this issue, there’s no hum in this one!
8. Applied my exclusive “tape mod” to give the pitch wheel a much smoother feel in operation.
9. Sanded and refinished the wood end panels. They are a nice walnut color now, and are free of scratches.
10. Cleaned the case, keys and knobs.

Cosmetically this synth is very nice. Other than a few minor scratches (mainly on the back panel) and some wear on the knobs themselves, this synth looks great for its age. As I mentioned, I sanded and refinished the wood end panels, so they’re like new! The keyboard is in great condition; I inspected the bushings and they look brand new. Soundwise, what can I say, it’s a Pro One. It sounds awesome!” Link
