“You are bidding on a Poly-Moog Keyboard from 1975. Works well, some controls may need to be cleaned. It does NOT come with Pedal/Controller Model 285A which is Made in the USA, if you would like the Pedals as well they will be on a separate auction. All of the Note Keys are working(they produce Sound). All of the Sliders seem to be working, and are not making any static noises, although one knob is missing. There are (37) control buttons above the keys, each with a red indicator light, (4) of these lights are not working. The pitch controller bar is working. The Serial number is #1111, and it was made in Buffalo, Ny . This keyboard has Line, Level audio output. You will need a Amp(such as a guitar amp or PA Amp for sound) I have a separate inexpensive amp if you are interested. This is for local pick up only unless the buyer arranges there own shipping. This is located in Phoenix, Az 85016.” Link
“For sale is this vintage original Moog Polymoog keyboard synthesizer. I believe the model was constructed around 1975.
The beast is in working condition and playable but it is in need of some TLC which I can’t afford to provide. It has various
ailments due to its age, noisey, crunchy faders at times and has variable volume response to keys and presets. It works much better if you
let it warm up for about an hour, seems to hold its tuning better then. All the keys work, nothing in particular is broken
though some buttons are more responsive than others. The foot pedal box is included and this isn’t working very well.
There was some response with the swell but nothing from the other parameters. If it was a house this synth would be advertised
as a “renovators dream”. All 4 of the original screw in legs are included but I have only one of the cross bars (i’ve seen
replica’s on ebay overseas) – I never used them myself preferring to have it on a heavy duty keyboard stand.
It is heavy, you can carry it yourself but its better to have two people. I don’t have a manual for it but you don’t really need one.
Years ago on the net I saw that you could buy a copy but i never got around to it, so if you look you might find.” Link
“If you own a Moog Polymoog Synthesizer or Moog Polymoog Keyboard, then you know what these cards are for.
These are from my Polymoog Keyboard, which I had been working to restore for months, but the synth has too many issues to sort out. This set of twelve Polycom cards, an entire octave’s worth, has been tested, and were playing just fine. I cannot guarantee how they will perform in your machine, since I was unable to totally sort out all the issues with my Polymoog. However, in every aspect that I was able to test them they performed very well. Also included in this listing is a working balance card.
This auction includes only the twelve Polycom cards and the balance card, and nothing else.” Link

“The time has come, and I have to sell my Polymoog 203A, serial #1917. This one is unique because it came from Sony Music recording studios in New York City when they were closing their doors. Unfortunately, I am not sure what artists may have recorded music with it. I had it serviced last year. Serviced meaning it was opened up by a technician that fixes keyboards, amps, and everything was cleaned, etc. All the keys work, but I am having some problems with the bottom row of sounds (6-9) Sometimes they worked and sometimes not. Lately it’s more like “not”. It’s missing one knob (see photo), otherwise it seems to work ok. Case has some scratches, but nothing terrible. Please see photos for full details. It does not come with any accessories, you get JUST the keyboard (and I have a new power chord that fits and works fine). I am not an expert on these, or repairing them, so I am selling it “as is”. I tested it to the best of my knowledge, but am not sure if I missed something or not, besides a few of the sounds not working.” Link
“Selling my now classic and much desired Moog Polymoog, model 280a keyboard or known as the Gary Numan one.The polymoog works but needs some attention to be fully working, some of the presets need tuning as while the brass ones are fine the string ones dont sound as they should the best preset of all the immortal Vox Humana although there could be better, the harpsi, clav presets seem ok, there is not quite the modulation there should be ,however the filter seems ok and the bass filter fine, out of the 71 key notes 69 play , im sure the fault is with dead polycom cards as the keys have their separate card, these cards provide an instant fix to any dead note.Otherwise the rest of the polymoog seems to work, the pitch ribbon is fine , as far as condition goes quite good with a corner piece of cast missing see pics, some grazing to back of plastic top cover, this polymoog is dated Jan 1979 which i think would have been the final year of production or thereabouts. Some will know this synthesiser quite well , Gary Numan used one on the Pleasure Principle Album in 1979, and later on Telekon Album in 1980, perhaps best known on the No 1 1979 single Cars. I dont think this polymoog needs too much work to get all working , but selling as is with no returns, and yes once all working if Vox Humana is played through direct output the Cars/Airlane sound is there ,i understand its a raw sound with no filter. Altogether a now scarce classic Moog synthesiser still quite capable of making electronics that modern gear cannot. I will include spare polycom cards to replace the dead ones and a high quality copy spiral bound operation manual. Pick up only,i prefer cash on collection or bank transfer however i will leave the choice with you.A free still sealed CD of The Pleasure Principle will be included in the sale to demonstrate the sweeping filtered electronics of the Polymoog.” Link
“Vintage Moog PolyMoog.
Was gonna get it fixed, but don’t have the time.
Powers up, some of the lower keys work, but kinda noisy.
When you change the presets, it does not change the sound.
Some of the presets won’t switch either (2 of them I think).
There is no case included, but the standard power supply is.
All in all it does not do what it is supposed to, therefore, its sold AS IS for parts…
No Returns or partial refunds accepted (since I’ve described what the issues are with the keyboard).” Link
“Here we have a PolyMoog pedalboard.
It is untested (as far as the filters, swell, etc.), as the PolyMoog I’m selling in another auction is not operational.
(the sustain pedal did work though) The unit is sold AS IS, with no returns or partial refunds accepted.” Link

“Most boards are Polycom and balance cards.
Also included are some main HFO divider boards.
(Sorry, none have the 50240 chip.)
One or more of the HFO divider boards appears to have been modified to be like the later revs.
We didn’t do the mods, so you should double-check before usage.
Great for repairs or restoration.
All boards are used and sold as-is.” Link

“This is a vintage Moog Polymoog Keyboard complete with control pedals. Functions all light up and are working but there is no sound output. Right pedal is fully functional; left is partial. These are relatively minor repairs I don’t have time for.” Link
“Recently discovered in our stores’ dungeon, this late 1970s Moog Polymoog Keyboard model 280A is in mint condition and everthing works great. Never sold or played and was still in the factory plastic bag when we unearthed it. ” Link

“JIMJAMSVINTAGEMUSIC brings you this MOOG POLYMOOG SYNTHESIZER MODEL 203A. This synth is in working condition, everything seems to work properly except the piano and clav functions. I get sound from these functions, but not very loud, but the other functions seem to work fine, and sound pretty awsome. The pitch controller does not seem to be working correctly either, it changes pitch when you touch it, but when you slide your finger downward or upward, it doesnt continue to change. There are a couple of sticky buttons, but still function. There are alot of contacts in this synth, and a good cleaning will probably do wonders. This moog is in decent cometic condition, there are scrapes here and there, and there is some ware on the function buttons, i provided pictures that shows this, i can provide more if needed. This synth is 30+ years old, and all origional, i described the condition to the best of my ability, and i will sell it as is, and will accept no returns.” Link
