“SEQUENTIAL CIRCUITS MULTI TRACK USED, BUT IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. COMES WITH ORIGINAL POWER SUPPLY, OWNERS MANUAL AND TAPE FOR DUMPING FACTORY SETTINGS ONTO SYNTHESIZER. THE SYNTH POWERS ON BUT NO SOUND PLAYS WHEN KEYS ARE HIT. EVERY BUTTON LIGHTS UP AND WORKS AS IT SHOULD. I THINK THE TAPE NEEDS TO BE DUMPED TO THE SYNTH BUT I HAVE NO WAY IN DOING THIS BECAUSE I DO NOT OWN A TAPE PLAYER. SO IAM SELLING THIS SYNTHESIZER AS IS. THIS IS A VINTAGE PEICE OF GEAR AND IT HAS BEEN WELL KEPT AND LOOKS GREAT FOR ITS AGE.” Link
“Very nice 80s-vintage synthesizer. Lots of data available for it on sites like www.sonicstate.com. It has six voices and one VCO, filters, arpeggiator and sequencer. This unit is in near-perfect shape. No broken or missing parts. Unlike most synths I’ve used, the pitchwheel on this unit isn’t spring-loaded. It has a detent that indicates it is centered. Classic sounds and easy operation make this unit lots of fun. Comes with an Anvil road case in decent shape.” Link
“Rare vintage Sequential Circuits Multi-Trak 6-voice polyphonic analog synth with full MIDI support!
Item is in mint condition, fully working, clean.
A very underrated analog synth from the 80′s. Has built-in sequencer and
arpeggiator. Just serviced (removed factory PSU noise, now has new backup battery and voice chip,
battery drain fix modification applied). Voice architecture is based on 6 Curtis CEM3394 chips – Sounds great!
Operation manual, service manual with schematics, original PSU (110V), 110-220V adapter and backup tape are included.” Link
“Everything works on this vintage beauty. Please notice a small space between two keys. One key is slightly bent to one side, this key makes a click when you hit it, but in no way affects the functioning of the key or the amplified sound.” Link
“I am selling a Sequential Circuits Multitrak. I have replaced the battery and also did the battery drain fix modification so that the new battery will last 7 years instead of 3 months, you can see the picture of the battery mod i did. It is a common problem on most multitrak’s the battery drains in less than 3 months. The link for the battery mod is http://www.k5000.org/gear/MultiTrak_battery.html. I also got a brand new custom made power supply built for the multitrak. These power supplies are not made anymore, they are rare and hard to find and to get a brand new one made would cost at least $200. I had mine built from a professional technician. The physical condition is pretty much perfect, with no major scratches or marks on it as you can see from the pictures. Everything functions as it should. There are no presets on it, but the battery does work so you could load all the presets if you wanted to.” Link
“Sequential Circuits Drumtraks 1980s vintage drum machine. Comes with 2 additional EPROM chips pre-loaded with samples–one is labeled “Toms” and the other is labeled “Lo Conga”. You can also load the chips with your own samples. Also includes owners manual and an SCI chip demo data cassette.
I have used this machine on and off for about 6 years but no longer have room for it. It has been tested and is 100% working. I haven’t tried the other 2 chips but they look brand new and I have no reason to believe that they don’t work.
Condition: This machine is very solid, cosmetically it is in very good condition and it is extremely clean. There are some dings and scuffs on the wood, one small scuff and some scratches on the metal face (upper right–see pic). The tuning knob is slightly bent but this does not effect its functionality. The metronome volume knob is also slightly bent and missing the cap portion (see pic) but still works perfectly. ” Link
“This is a Sequential Circuits Multitrak. I found it in a pawn shop and brought it home. They had no power supply, so I bought a brand new one from Wine Country who seem to be the SC experts. I’m not in need of the keyboard as I mainly use VIs for better or worse. I plugged it in and everything seems to work fine. The presets are in memory, so the battery is functioning. I was able to move around the various functions of the keyboard and tweak to my hearts content. The synth sounds very good. The only thing that I could find not working is the down range of the pitch bend. Pitch will bend up, but not down. The pitch bend wheel moves down fine, so I’m not sure what the issue might be. Other than that, I haven’t found anything that’s not working. The synth is guaranteed not DOA, but it is 25 years old or so and sold as such. ” Link
“The synth is in good working condition except three keys that sometimes get stuck. They should be exchanged as well as the battery (3V Lithium) which is empty.
It comes with manual and orignial american power plug. You can have the converter (see picture) for european plugs if you want, it is a bit heavy though and will maybe raise the shipping costs.” Link
Link
“I am the first and only owner of this great vintage synthesizer, having bought it new in 1985. If you are looking at this auction, you know what it is, so I won’t get into a lot of historical detail about how groundbreaking these Sequential Circuits instruments were when new.
I used this for my own entertainment and occasional gigs, which were almost always private parties being thrown by one or the other of the members of my band, for which we never really came up with a permanent name. So it’s been lightly used and is in excellent shape overall.
I had some repairs done and the battery replaced back in the mid-90′s but have used it very little in the past 15 years. This afternoon I set it up, loaded the programs, connected it up to an amp, and it seems to work fine. I had difficulty loading the factory demo sequences and they are not playing correctly. I think the sequencer itself is working OK but the loading process (from a cassette tape) isn’t.
All the controls work but the pitch wheel has a spot where the pitch jumps up about a third or fourth. All the keys seem to operate correctly. I’d recommend cleaning all the moving controls to smooth their operation, because as I said this instrument has been sitting almost unused for 15 years. The battery did seem to be retaining the programs when I shut it off and turned it on again a few minutes later, but the battery is at least 15 years old so you should plan to replace it. I can’t find anything else wrong based on a half hour of goofing around, but this is a 25-year-old analog electronic synthesizer so expect that there may be other little quirks I haven’t discovered.
Included are the power supply, the original program cassette, and the factory manuals.” Link
“Sequential Circuits Multi-Trak synth in immaculate condition – literally museum quality!!! analogue analog synth with massive capabilities… one owner from new with not a scratch nor blemish on the whole unit. **as new** condition. Comes with original manuals, power supply & even the patch cassette… due to its age this unit is being sold as-is but all buttons do work and functions as it should. will need a new battery & patch memory uploaded from the cassette.
This is a rare opportunity to get one of the unsung heroes of synthesis from one of the pioneers, dave smith @ sci.” Link
“For sale is a rare Sequential Circuits Multitrak vintage 6 voice analog synth. This is a very underrated and amazing synth, pure analog! It not only has great sequential circuits sounds but it has great features as well, with an awesome arpeggiator and an on board sequencer!
Very easy and fun to use synth. Battery was replaced recently so you won’t have to worry about losing programs. This synth is fully functional and cosmetically excellent, even near mint, only a few minor scruffs visible, others very clean! Kept in smoke free home studio under dust covers when not in use and never gigged with. Get this rare and amazing synth today!” Link
“I hate to see this baby go, but some finances need to be reallocated. This is one of my favorites as it has great midi features, 6 voice polyphony, and of course the multi-trak feature. I have owned the SIX TRAK as well and this is way better to program and play. More features as you get 4 banks and individual outputs.
I rate the cosmetic condition as a 3.5 out of 5 on this unit. I am picky, as you can see in the pictures there are a few scratches, though nothing preventing it from being an awesome instrument to add to your collection. The raw analog audio out of this baby is superb. The only issue, and it may be easy to fix is that the pitch wheel doesn’t function anymore, it rotates smoothly, but doesn’t adjust the audio. The MOD wheel is the important one that works great. For pitch, I just use the Tone dial, which has the same effect. This comes to you from a smoke free sudio and always covered from the dust since I have owned it. I am including in the sale the following:
-Original Power Supply
-Sequential Circuits MULTI-TRAK Serial # 01610
-Original Operation Manual
-Original MIDIGUIDE
-Original Pink Cheat Sheet” Link

“For sale is a rare Sequential Circuits Instruments MultiTrak six voice analog synth. Similar to a six trak but a whole lot better. a great sounding and underestimated synth, awesome arpeggiator and on board sequencer. Excellent cosmetic condition, especially considering its 25 years of age. One key shows a small crack and has a chip on the front of it, but it is sturdy and plays fine (you could get a replacement key for cheap if it bothered you.) Functionally it works perfectly, all six voices are working. Internal battery was recently replaced, so you don’t have to worry about your programs not being saved. It also has original factory patches loaded, so plenty of great sounds to get you started.” Link
“When I first got this it had no power supply and the internal battery had failed. I bought a power supply from Wind Country Sequential. After international postage this came to around $90 US. OUCH. This is a US 120v power supply, they no longer provide the UK 240v Version.
This has involved over a years worth of testing where the multi trak has been off for most of that time so I can test the patches I have made remain in their stored location unaffected. They indeed have but it was frustrating not being able to play the dam thing
)
Also included with this sale along with the step down converter and the genuine Wine country sequential power supply is a plethora of documentation.
This includes the operation manual, the Midi Guide, yes it has midi. the CN615-1 Multi-trak instruction Card which is essentially a quick reference card to save you running through the manual so much this is also paired with an A3 fold out card which show the functions of the front panel controls.
And last but not least is the original Sequential circuits Warranty card. This card is a little bit tatty now but I don’t think you will actually be making much use of it eh?
In fact the only document I don’t have is the Service manual which wasn’t originally sold with the multi-trak anyway but these can be purchased from Wine County Sequential.” Link

“This vintage (1980′s) analogue synthesizer from Sequential Circuits has many features including:
Velocity sensitive keys
built in muti-track sequencer
split keyboard
individual outputs for each of the 6 voices
MIDI interface.
I have found many links on the Web by searching for “Sequential circuits multitrak”, such as www.matrixsynth.com/old/multi.htm
The multitrack comes complete with factory patches on cassette. Unfortunately the factory sequences on the same cassette have been corrupted so they only load so far before failing.
The back-up battery was removed several years ago, but I never got round to repalcing it. However I have recently programmed the factory patches from cassette to make sure all is OK with the synth.
The factory patches can be programmed manually with the charts in the instruction manual.
It comes with operating instructions, MIDI instructions, Mains transformer (suitable for UK), and factory patch cassette.
The Synth is in good used condition with minor blemishes, noteably a light scratch across one of the upper sharp keys. The main parameter adjusting pot and changing button can be a little sensitive due to the nature of their frequent use.
The Synth hasn’t been used for a number of years and has stored in its original American shipping crate.
It needs a good home where it can be used and appreciated once more!
Any other queries, please contact me.
Comes from a smoke free home.” Link
“Welcome to my auction. Here I am selling a very rare Seqential Circuits- Multi-trak.
It’s a really great synthesizer, underrated! (see vintage synths review on link below!)
It’s equipped with 6-notes of analog polyphony, which can be stacked all together to produce some really fat sounds!!!
It is a U.S model (no different from a 240v, all made in Japan I expect) and comes complete with its power adapter. (see picture 3)
Overall condition is good, a few little marks (being a bit fastidious), but being nearly 25 years of age, it’s seriously great! . ” Link
