“Realistic Concertmate MG-1 Synthesizer (Moog).
You are bidding on a Realistic Concertmate MG-1 synthesizer. These were built by Moog for radioshack and were sold in the early 80s.
This one is most certainly not 100% condition as it has lost a few slider covers and the sliders themselves will crackle a little, but this synth can still produce some incredible sounds that you won’t hear anywhere else.
There are pitch and trigger inputs on the back which work as cv and gate (these have been tested and work fine).
It has phono inputs (not through the filter) and outputs and a headphone output on the front.
Internal power supply and supplied with appropriate kettle lead.
This would be great as a refurbishment project or as I have done for many years – sequenced and sampled the synth for some incredible sound loops. The sound is massively unstable (in a good way) and just sounds vintage and alive in a way that modern analog synths just don’t quite capture.
Refurbished models go for between £500-800 at the moment, but to be clear this unit with all the various crackles and missing pots is not 100% perfect and the starting price reflects this. Please take into account the description and watch the video before bidding.

Cosmetically, it shows normal signs of use and wear such as dirt, dust, cracks, and scratches. There are some cracks on the Tone Source, Contour, and Filter sections.”

This MG-1 is in good working condition , totally checked all toggles and sliders and every thing is working other than a few sliders seem a little stiff compared to the others but does not affect it’s performance as far as sound . some of the slider knobs are cracked and I used mini rubber bands to hold them together and they are replaceable. two sliders knobs are not original. if you look at the picture there is a slight bend on the case in the back bottom but is very minimal. And the reason I am selling is because it’s been in my hallway closet for a few years and I have other interests. The RCA jacks and headphone jack were also checked out.”

When turned on, the power light will blink on for just a moment, and then turn off again. Fixing it is beyond my capabilities, and I’m moving my studio. Selling for parts/repair only.
