This unit was built from a kit by me. I have a lot of experience building synthesisers and would rate the quality of the electrical build as excellent. The case is a high quality black 19″ rack mount enclosure. The front panel was made by me using transfer lettering and sealed with fixing spray rather than paying for a professional panel. It does look a little amateur as it was my first go at doing this difficult procedure. Also the fixing layer is starting to show its age and is peeling/corroding a bit.
Includes a MIDI to CV converter (which can be extracted and used elsewhere if you want). This auction is for an Oakley Wavefolder 2 MOTM format module. It is a fully featured wavefolder/ distortion module with three sections all controllable with cv inputs. It is the predecessor to the Oakley Discontinuity module. It is about ten years old but still works great. I bought it off of the original owner/ builder very recently. But it unfortunately must go. If the natural panel is a sticking point for you I believe that the bridechamber still has some MOTM black panels for the diode superladder in stock for around $20. “This is a rare chance to buy an assembled, fully working 5U format modular synth. The modules are built into a sloping ARP2600 style case with corner protection and carrying recess’ on each end. Power supply is mounted internally. There is an internal CV/Gate bus which allows some basic normalisation which makes patching easier. There are some high res pictures here:

Noise & Filter, Envelope follower deluxe (with lag processor), Voltage controlled phaser, 3 VCO’s, Moog ladder VCF, 3 VCA bank, Sample/slew, Lag Processor, PolyDAC (4 Channel MIDI to CV converter), State Variable VCF, 2 LFO’s, Basic EG (AD/AR), 2 ADSR with VCA’s, Jackfield, Multimix, Output Mixer (with VU meter).
Some of the modules are mounted onto large front panels eg, Moog VCF & VCA bank are on 1 panel, also LFOs, EG’s, Jackfield, multimix, output mixer are on 1 panel.
The unit is fully working and sounds great! Really beefy sounds with the endless possibilities of a true modular synth. Also in my view 5U format modulars have the visual wow factor over the eurorack type formats.
Mains lead and some patch cables are included.
I would prefer collection of the synth. It is very heavy so I don’t think sending via post is an option. Also packaging the synth to prevent any possible damage in transit would be a lengthly job which I don’t really want to do, also on collection the synth can be demonstrated and some of the features explained (normalisation/CV/gate bus etc). ” Auction ended.
