“Elby designs (Ian Fritz) ed113 5-Pulsar for Eurorack modular synthesizers. This module is in mint condition except for slight rack rash at mounting points. The 5-Pulsar is an amazing module that I just don’t have room for in my rig – choices choices!. Creates blistering timbres and with CV control to give dynamic teeth to your signal. Auction includes power cable and mounting screws.” Link

“I’m selling off much of my Eurorack modules, guitar pedals and tabletop synthesizers. This listing is for the Elby Designs Super Psycho LFO designed by Ken Stone in Eurorack format. You can see rack rash around the screw holes. There are no other issues with this module. This is a complex module featuring six free-running oscillators, each variable between lfo and audio ranges, two of which can be switched to have triangular wave outputs. Each oscillator can be switched between low and high ranges, as well as off, and also has a rate led to allow visual determination of the frequency at which it is running. There are also level and glide controls. This module can be used to create a range of pseudo-random modulation voltages that can be used to generate unusual sequences, control vcfs or or vcas etc. When run at higher frequencies it can be used as a series of audio drones or to generate complex sounds by frequency modulation of a vco.” Auction ended. “Elby Designs Pixie Synth, fully assembled and working but needs a case / enclosure. I was going to build it into a suitcase similar to EMS Synthi A but never got round to it! Sounds fantastic, I also owned a Wasp and can confirm that this sounds identical, but is much more versatile because of extra filters, mixer, more stable DCO’s and midi interface.

It is an exact clone of the EDP Wasp synth, but more stable and with Midi interface so that it can be played from any midi keyboard.

More information here:- http://www.elby-designs.com/pixie/pixie-about.htm

It has been built to a very high standard and everything works, however wiring will need to be tidied up according to case type chosen. Also, Elby designs added a third VCF to the design as well as the two Wasp filters, however it is a known design fault with this pcb that this transistor ladder filter does not work as there is insufficient voltage over the ladder, so I have disconected this filter completely and replaced it with a Yusynth Diode Ladder filter which is an exact replica of the EMS VCS3 / Synthi A VCF – this gives a much different, more raw sound than the two Wasp Filters and a very worthwhile addition. I did try adding a differnt Moog style transistor ladder VCF but the VCS3 filter suited the Pixie much better IMHO. I have added a CGS dual rail power supply which provides the necessary +12v and -9v supply needed for the filter as well as a 5v supply for the Pixie synth.

This is a quite complex build and a certain level of expertise will be needed to fit this to an enclosure, there is also a chance that one or more wires may come loose in transit; so although it is full working I’m selling it as a project rather than a finished item, with no returns.” Auction ended.
