” This listing is for a mint condition limited edition Moog Minimoog Model D “Final 25″ edition. It is number 4 of the last 25 Minimoog’s ever made and is in near perfect condition. The finish on the wood is glossy, there is a brass plaque with the number, and clear pitch bend/mod wheels that light up and have the Moog logo inscribed in the acryllic. This synth was basically never used. The switches and pots feel new, the power cord is really clean unlike most mucked up ones and I just had new bushings put in. It plays amazingly and looks stunning. Make your friends jealous! :) Link

“MINIMOOG D # 5378

I’m the second owner of this outstanding vintage piece of synthesizer history. It is currently looking for a new home where it will be treated with care.

The entire unit has been restored significantly both inside and out. Includes both an installation of CV and GATE jack inputs for easy control via a MIDI to CV converter. (NOTICE THE 2 INPUTS LABELED CV IN / GATE IN in PIC #6) and a complete set of 44 NOS (New Old Stock) keys. Electronically Mr Lightner replaced several capacitors and resistors, cleaned all knobs, polished all key contacts.

Those familiar with Mr Lightner’s skill will appreciate both his restoration work and technical knowledge of vintage gear. You will not be disappointed. ” Link

“This is a rare opportunity to acquire an exceptional condition, early example of a Minimoog Model D in totally original condition.

This sale includes its original flight case, although not unfortunately in the same condition as the instrument, as all the foam inner lining had to be removed as it started to degrade over the years.

This minimoog is serial number 2587, which I think places it around 1970 vintage.

I have owned this instrument since 1975 from its previous owner from new.

It is in totally original form with the original oscillator boards etc.

It has only been used for studio work during my ownership.

It has a truly incredible sound and soul that I have found impossible to duplicate on any other instrument.

I’m sad to have to now sell this amazing instrument due to my selling up in the UK and having to generally down scale.

It’s in exceptional condition for its age with no noticeable marks to the wood work.

The only possible area of ageing is an area either side of the modulation and pitch wheels that appears to have a slight grey lighten effect.

I haven’t tried to clean it in anyway, so perhaps with a little work that area would come up that same.” Link

“I inherited this from a friend that was having trouble with the keyboard and thought it would be a good idea to rack mount it and MIDI it but he never got around to it before he passed on. I wish he hadn’t chopped it up but he did. It was working about 8 years ago, but as you can see the keyboard is gone. It was originally sold in 1974 serial #4899. “This is a rare opportunity to acquire an early serial number Minimoog Model D in good condition.

These instruments require no introduction from me, there is plenty of information out there about them.

This one is serial number 3230 which I believe places it as a 1972 vintage with original oscillator board.

I have very much enjoyed owning this lovely machine, and have recorded with it as well as played live, not least at Glastonbury Festival.

As with all these older Minis, the tuning has a tendency to waiver occasionally, and is best when it has been warmed up for a while, but generally it is a lovely thing to play and sounds AMAZING. Most people believe the early oscillators had a warmer sound than the ones which came later in the 1970s.

The whole machine is in great condition for its age and the only thing I can mention is there is a small crack in the wooden veneer to the right of the Moog nameplate, but it’s nothing to worry about. I have resisted the temptation to glue or fill the crack and will leave this decision to the new owner.
I believe the pitch and modulation wheels have been replaced at some point as they are the ridged versions as opposed to the smooth.

The only other thing worth mentioning is that it is wired for 110V with a continental plug, but comes with a neat transformer to 240V with a UK plug. So you have the option of both, which is handy” Link

“Hi. Up for auction is a early Minimoog analog synthesizer. The overall condition is excellent for a machine of this vintage. Please check out the pics for more detail. The serial number is 4096, which would put it somewhere in the 1973-75 era (early-mid period) with the original (non-stabilized) oscillator card, and smooth pitch and mod wheels (version “4″ according to the “Lords of the Mini” site, which can be seen here: http://minimoog.monsite-orange.fr/page1/index.html.) This Mini has been completely gone through, AND calibrated. Tuning is excellent across the octaves, and between the 3 oscillators. The octave switches are also very spot-on. The keyboard is all replenished with new bushings, and ALL contacts cleaned (including the “edge-card” connectors and circuit board contacts). A VERY stable Minimoog that still retains the tone of the early ones!
As far as aesthetics go, The body has been professionally refinished in walnut, and sealed with a clear topcoat. The front panel has also been cleaned up. There is some slight “warping” of the plastic front panel (which can be seen in pic #2). Doesn’t effect functionality, though. I made every effort to keep the machine as original as possible. All badges, knobs, etc. are original to this unit. There is some slight discoloration/fading of the colored “rocker” switches (more prevalent on the “blue” ones).. the The “pointer” knobs are of the non”chicken-head” type that Moog used on a few machines, but ARE original to this unit. The “Lords of the Mini” site discusses this, also. ” Link

“you are bidding on a ~1978 (s/n 10558) moog model d minimoog. the top nameplate is missing, but the one on the back is present :)

this mini has been modified in the following ways:

* Lintronics MIDI Convertor (LMC) allows remote MIDI control of this mini & adds an LFO)

(back panel, viewed from behind the mini, from the power cord looking right:)
* filter envelope -> osc 2 on/off switch (most useful when osc 2 sync is on)
* LMC noise / LFO switch (when the modulation mix knob is set to ‘noise’, this switch determines if the mini’s noise generator or the LFO signal from the LMC is active)
* (external input, hi/lo outputs are stock, 1/4″ jacks)
* CV OUTput (1/4″ jack, can be used to drive other 1v/oct synths)
* MIDI IN (5-pin DIN)
* Gate in/out (1/4″ jack, can be triggered from square wave LFO, external foot switch OR can drive other NON-S-Trig gates)
* Osc 2 CV in (1/4″ jack; most useful when osc 2 sync is on)
* Osc 2 sync on/off switch
* Cinch/Jones connector for S-Trig control of envelopes (gate)

all keys work, but they DO require periodic cleaning. all knobs and switches work. a-440 reference works.

you will also get:
* LMC documentation (installation instructions, manual, quick reference card)
* Moog CP-251 (newer style, white rings) CV control processor (mixer, LFO, noise source, mult, lag generator, s&h) with power supply & manual
* Two (2) Boss FS-5U non-latching, reversible polarity foot-switches
* One (1) Cinch-Jones to female 1/4″ plug adaptor for gate triggering of the original S-Trig jack
* Three (3) 1/4″ jack to .206″ (NOT 1/4″) switchcraft plug adaptors (for ‘glide’ and ‘delay’ jacks next to their respective switches)
* printout of Minimoog patch book (from internet)
* printout of Minimoog operation manual (from internet)
* Voyager gig-bag
* Voyager dust-cover” Link

“This listing is for a Moog Minimoog Model D vintage analog synthesizer. The synth was completely serviced and is in tip top shape head to toe. A model with this serial # would normally contain the newest revision of oscillator board but this unit has an older oscillator board (less stable but sounds much nicer). It has a Big Briar MIDI kit and besides the new custom wood case, it has all new bushings, a recapped power supply and is working flawlessly. “You are bidding on a Minimoog sythesizer with comes with extra items included in the price. This Mini Mogg is in a used condition, the wood casing has marks and chips on it, but everything works. Not only do you get a remarkable instrument in its own right I am including a few bits as well. such as Two foot switches for Glide and Decay. And a rare Moog sample hold device. All together this package makes this quite unique and something special. Also with it I am including a Polymoog pedal and a Taurus II foot pedals. The Taurus II pedals are just that nothing else no cables or anything just the pedals. Observers will note this package was sold on ebay about three years ago, I bought it. But now I am selling it, After a RTA I have been out of work since before xmas so sadly its needs must, and I am skint so I need to raise some income. This Moog system was used by Edgar Frosse of Tangerine dream fame for his only solo London gig. However I have lost the paper work to prove it so its just an everyday Minimoog for sale. ” Link

My lovely Minimoog needs to find a new home. I am attempting to finance a little overseas tour and need to start selling off some of the synths. I have been in posession of this minimoog for around 5 years now. It has never left it’s smoke free home, no gigs of any sort. The video explains a lot of things, but if you don’t feel like watching it here are some things to note.

Function:
This Minimoog is in excellent working order. It was serviced by a professional when first purchased and has not needed it since. I would recommend you get one after it goes through the mail. It’s scaling from octave to octave could use a little fine tuning and recently the pitch wheel has cut in and out of responding. Once again, nothing a little tune-up won’t take care of. This little bugger sounds amazing! All Osc’s are larger then life, knobs are smooth…. sounds amazing through an echoplex! Hooking this thing up to a MIDI to CV unit unlocks it’s hidden beast (as can be heard in my background music on the video).

Cosmetic things to note:
The wood cabinet has a little wear around the edges common with a synth of this age. It is pretty well documented in the photos and video. The face of the unit is clean. And the keys are clean aside from one cigarette burn from a previous owner on one of the bottom keys.” Link

“This is a rare opportunity. Here we have an oscillator card from my 1973 Minimoog Model D. It is the third revision of the board, the one that has the most stable tuning. Original owners upgraded there old oscillator cards for this more stable version in the late 1970′s, I believe.

It is in perfectt working order as I had James Walker of Synth Repair Services perform a full service on my Minimoog when I purchased it about 16 months ago.

I am selling it as I have just installed a Rev 2 board in my Mini which is the one it would have originally came with in 1973. (I’m a geek).” Link

“Up for bid, my beautiful minimoog model D, serial # 8967. It has lived in my studio for 10 years, but unfortunatly, times are tough and i gotta sell it. It’s a shame, not many client’s ask for the minimoog anymore. With the exception of a couple hip hop artist’s, it really has not been touched for years, until recently. Cosmetically this keyboard is in fantastic shape, except a minor scratch on the side panel, another minor scratch on a black key, which is so hard to see, i couldn’t get a good picture, and one small dent in the wood near the hinge, where someone probably opened the lid with a patch cable caught between the hinge and the wood case. It was like that when i got it, and i included a picture. “see photos”. The internals however needed some TLC. I proceeded to replace the power supply filter caps. I inspected the psu, and calibrated it. I cleaned the edge connector sockets with deocite, and cleaned the edge’s with a pencil eraser to remove all oxitization. Also i cleaned all the switches and pot’s, and keyboard multi-pin socket with contact cleaner. Then i replaced all remaining electrolytic capacitors, and put modern chip socket’s in place of the original crud. I then added some silicon heat transfer paste to the vco boards, and removed and cleaned the keyboard contact rails. Also had to replace the Pratt-read rubber shims on a couple of keys. Finally, i calibrated the entire machine, as outlined in the service manual. It sounds wonderfull now, and plays like new, ready for another decade of service. Comes with the original owners manual, and road case.” Link

For sale today I have my Minimoog Model D, this thing is super super fat! I am only selling it because I have two, this one surely has the fatter oscillator board and it is very noticeable in a side by side demo, except the other one is more useful to me since it has the studio electronics midimoog upgrade (while still with the keyboard). This thing could use a little bit of cosmetic work, fixing up the keys and it has a crack in the wood at the top of the circuit board (I feel like this would be really easy to replace since it is its own little piece of wood). Under the keys there are some marks from the keys hitting the wood due to the previous owner not replacing the grommets and fixing the action (this is not an expensive operation). Additionally, the cover for the ext input light is missing and the power light does not turn on (although the synth most certainly does) these are easily fixed for probably $15. Either way it’s an amazing synth and could be fixed up cosmetically and re-calibrated for relatively cheap. A recent one in worse condition sold for $2,325 and it’s serial number was 2000 higher. Here’s your chance to get the best synth!” Link

“It makes sound, needs tuning, has some scratchy pots, the power light sometimes lights up sometimes not. But besides that, the whole piece its there.
I bought it like this and ask me who is Mosley?… and what is its serial number?. I was wondering if I could get it some where in the pcb board or anywhere else inside or outside the synth. Never did.
The coffee cup mark was already there. To be honest I didn’t care for that as I always thought that some day would come that i could fix it and leave it like new. Of course things change and plans have to also. There was also the option to just send it to cleaning and tuning and leave cosmetics, and other second details like they are.
Like I said the power light sometimes works and sometimes not. Some knobs and switches are scratchy. Besides the tuning issue and all the later there is nothing else i can tell you about it.. For all of you watching this list you know the differences between the Model D and the Musonics. If not read a little bit. A hard to find one.!!” Link

This synthesizer is in very good condition and works great, I have recently tested to make sure everything is working fine I plugged it into an amp everything work great on it, I change all three fuses because it had some old fuses that were blown. The wood looks like it was sanded probably from an incomplete refinishing job, and the little plastic cover that goes over the overload bulb is broken (the light still works though). “Up for auction is this Early MOOG MiniMoog Model D Analog Synthesizer that is in excellent condition. This MiniMoog D is one of the more sought after units since it was manufactured in Feb. 1972; the low serial # is 1338. The earlier models are said to have the more desirable oscillator and filter boards, which had warmer characteristics. I acquired this keyboard from the estate of the original owner, who took very good care of it. As far as I know, it still has all of the original components inside. It was serviced last year by a professional technician. I opened it up to get the manufacture date and the inside looks in order and is clean. I have thoroughly tested this keyboard and all functions appear to work properly. It plays wonderfully and sounds absolutely fantastic. The walnut wood cabinet is in excellent shape; it has a few light scratches here and there that cover well; the wood trim/strip that is on top of the controller has a small edge bruise on the top left corner that covers well and is not that noticable (see right side of 8th image). All in all, this keyboard looks super.

I am throwing in some nice extras also: a Moog 1120 Pedal Controller that has been internally cleaned (a new battery terminal and battery was just installed also)…pedal works great for controlling volume, oscillator or filter; a MiniMoog D Operational Manual, 1973 Moog Catalog & Pricelist and a folder full of Sound Charts is also included.” Link

serviced. New keyboard bushings, replacement of capacitors, retuned to factory spec, pots cleaned, re calibrated, keyboard bed straightened, keyboard contacts cleaned,
the list goes on. Also the most noticeable feature would be the high end wood refinish job. This is the original walnut wood from the factory most of the later models
had a mixture of wood such as poplar ect, this case was ALL walnut. The finish is a original walnut with high detail rubbed out finish, its absolutely beautiful you have to see with your own eyes!!” Link

Disassembled unit and blew all dust & debris from interior. Worked hi-grade contact cleaner into all jacks, pots & switches using precision applicator. Reseated all connections to VCO/VCF PCB. Rebuilt/recalibrated main power supply. Removed all boards for complete cleaning/refurbishing of edge connectors, corrected solder joints. Removed keybed and cleaned all contacts and buss bars. Replaced incorrect key springs and re-aligned. Complete calibration including VCA, VCF, VCO and A=440 tuning standard. Cleaned in and out. “Genuine Moog Minimoog Model D – fully serviced & calibrated this summer by Tiny Evans of the Hammond Hire company – and thus working perfectly: all 3 oscillators & the filter stay perfectly in tune from the get go (and no boot time :o )

Sale also includes a Kenton Pro Solo MKII Midi to CV converter and the appropriate leads – this allows velocity control of the filter cut-off when playing from a controller keyboard.

Check out the low-profile of the keyboard: you can see how well the keys align, frequently a problem on vintage Moogs. The keyboard is a joy to play, it has a great solid feel, and the keys look like new but for the A5 key which has a slight indentation where a cigarette burn was cleaned up – it’s nearly invisible in practice, I’d forgotten it was there.

The serial number is 11715 and it therefore has the improved oscillator board with 9 tuning pins at the rear of the unit. The synth is switchable 115 to 230V and is fitted with a UK plug.” Link

“For sale is a vintage muSonics Moog Minimoog. This is the chance you’ve been waiting for! If you don’t know about the Musonics version, they were a very early version of the Minimoog, built after RA moog but still before the more common Moog Music. The musonics version is considered the best sounding version of the Minimoog ever made, with very raw analog sound, and I believe there are less than 100 in existence. In addition, there is a rare cv input board installed by CAE Sound (in San Mateo) giving you CV input (you can see the jack near the serial number on the back of the synth). This one is in incredible shape, with original oscillator boards, and cosmetically overall very clean with only minor imperfections. It has spent most of its life sitting unused in a smoke free professional studio. The minimoog was recently professionally serviced and is in fully functional condition. Servicing included new key membranes, leveling of keyboard, cleaning, tuning & calibration, and general maintenance. Comes with hard anvil style flight case for safe shipping.” Link

“For your consideration is a Original Moog “MINIMOOG MODEL D SYNTHESIZER”"SERIAL #8644″ with the ORIGINAL ANVIL CASE. I am the original owner and purchased this instrument in 1976. This Moog was used in a smoke free home recording studio until 1984 when it was placed in its anvil case and placed in storage. Unfortunately, the anvil case foam deteriorated and has caused some damage to the finish (please see picture). The instrument itself also will require some work due to some underlying tones which occur while it is being played. The best way I can describe the problem is that the sounds bleed into one another. This instrument with a little work could be just like new. I am selling this “as is” because if I have it fixed, I probably would decide not to sell it. I have played alot of synthesizers but nothing comes close to the rich warm sound of a minimoog. I have used this moog to lay down both lead and bass tracks with great satisfaction and success. One great thing about Analog devises is that there are alot of repair techs who are capable of working on them. This Moog had a similar problem back in 1980 and it was easily fixable. The unit will be shipped in its anvil case. I am going to replace the foam myself, with something that will protect the instrument during shipping (not the original anvil foam). Although the foam inside the case did cause some problems, the outside construction of the case is very durable. For anyone who has wanted a original mini-moog, this is a wonderful instrument that just needs a little work.

I am going to include the S trigger which I recently found. ” Link

“This is a Moog Minimoog D which I bought a couple of years ago by the Analog U.S. in CA USA. Both working and cosmetic condition are just MINT and that’s because of Kevin Lightner workshop where it was fully refurbished. The S/N is 3252 so it might be one of the early Moog Minimoogs D R.A.Moog ever made. As you can see the wooden cabinet colour is quite unusual making this one a pretty rare masterpiece. Any lucky guy who will win this will get the original Moog foot pedal controller model 1120 as well shown in the pictures” Link

“This rare classic is in pristine condition and in perfect working order. I’d even say close “museum” quality, but please judge for yourself with our pics.

This is the real deal, MUCH better and richer sounding than any of the new Voyagers, etc. The Minimoog was one of the most popular synths of the 70s and 80s! It’s famous for its fat analog sound and the best filters available in such a portable unit. It features three oscillators (one can be used as an LFO) that can be individually detuned and offers multiple waveforms. The Minimoog is monophonic (only one note plays at a time) and its three-oscillator design gave it the famous fat sound. Three detuned oscillators each playing a different waveform can create some pretty thick analog sounds! The Minimog also features Bob Moog’s legendary filters. This synth has a 4-pole low-pass with typical cutoff, resonance, ADS envelope and keyed tracking controls. There are also some great modulation possibilities via LFO. Every editable parameter is on the front panel and easy to use.

Power cord is attached and hinges/stand are in perfect working order” Link

“Designed by Robert Moog in 1970, the Minimoog Model D remains hugely popular today due to it’s intuitive design, 24dB/octave filter and three oscillators which allow the instrument to produce extremely rich and powerful bass and lead sounds. As used by Parliament/Funkadelic, Devo, Kraftwerk and Pink Floyd on ‘Dark Side Of the Moon’, it has been called the Rolls Royce of analog keyboard-based synthesizers.

Purchased from the legendary vintage keyboard store fiveG in Harajaku, Tokyo 8 years ago, it has been kept in an air conditioned studio and unmoved for 8 years. This Moog is being sold by a professional musician. Pickup is available from Melbourne.

“For sale here is an early serial no. (4603) Minimoog from 1972. It is in astonishingly good working order as it was overhauled at considerable cost by Tonetweakers in the U.S. The capacitors were all replaced, stability issues addressed and it was fully re-calibrated. As a result it sounds wonderful from the moment its switched on and the tuning is 100% stable now! All key bushings have all been replaced so the action is super smooth and its a real pleasure to play” Link
