“Up for grabs is a Moog Micromoog Analog synthesizer. Cosmetically, it is in almost perfect condition, except for the wood sticker peeling off the right end panel, which is shown in the fpictures. Functionally, I say it is almost perfect, except for the pots are a bit scratchy, and the key contacts are also a bit as well. This is because the person I got this synth from had it stored in a closet for nearly 20 years. Because of this, the item is being sold AS IS. I could not detect if anything was wrong with it, but since I am not a qualified tech, on, and I do not want to promise perfect condition. Except for that, I was quickly able to dial up a sound, without any issue and it sounds great! ” Link

“Up for auction is a good condition Vintage 70′s Moog Micromoog Micro Moog Synthesizer

I pluged the unit in and it powers up and works fine as far as i can tell..Some of the sounds crackle when i hit a key but i think that its a dirty pot because if i play with the pots the sound will come back in and clean.Im not 100% sure. The slide on the pitch left was replace with a pot but works fine. There are a few screws on the bottom missing and some of the vernier on one side is missing.Other than that it is solid.I tried to describe this so there are no suprises.” Link

This vintage monophonic analog synthesizer works perfectly! Very few signs of wear–see photographs. Features Oscillator, Modulation, Noise Level, Glide, Volume, Filter, Filter Contour and Loudness Contour controls, plus 32-key keyboard. Sounds great!” Link

“This 1976 Micromoog was the budget-conscious baby brother to the famed MiniMoog synthesizer, consisting of the basic necessities: one voltage controlled oscillator (VCO), one voltage controlled amplifier (VCA), two contour generators, and one sample-and-hold function. This one is in fantastic shape, both cosmetically and electronically, with 17 knobs, 7 switches, mod-wheel, ribbon controller, a 2-1/2 octave keyboard, tons of inputs and ouputs, and a fine-tune adjustment knob on the back.

I recently paid $300 for a professional Moog synthesizer tech to revamp, and clean the Moog (it still has all the original parts minus a replaced volume knob). It works better than the day I bought it with no drift whatsoever.

It is a surprisingly complex synth for only being a single oscillator/ LPF model.

These are highly sought after by collectors of vintage synthesizers, and it is rare to find one where all the processor sections are functional. This is a monophonic synth. Also, you can directly plug in another keyboard or guitar and use all the filters, contours, and modulator as effects. ” Link

“MOOG MICROMOOG ANALOGUE MONOPHONIC SYNTHESIZER (CIRCA 1975-1979) WITH CUSTOME CASE, ORIGINAL OWNERS OPERATION MANUAL PLUS A INSTRUMENT PATCH CORD.

SERIAL #3097

I would say this keyboard is in excellent shape (Not Mint) considering it is over 30 years old and the following:

This synthesizer is EXTREMELY CLEAN AND RADIANTLY BEAUTIFUL and is…

Fully intact… And has no missing parts…

The unit powers on and the red light showing the unit is on lights brightly…

All 32 notes of the keyboard sound so their are no dead keys and no keys are broken…

As far as I can tell all the knobs and switches are functional…

The modulation wheel and ribbon controller are present and working…

The original power cord is clean and there are no breaks whatsoever in the cord…

The simulated wood side panels are also in excellent shape…

And… the tuning knob on the back which controls the tuning is working and the tuning is stable.

I played it for countless hours through my pa system and I can tell you it sounds great!!! But be sure to put your jack in to the audio input on the back for great LOUD sound. You will definitely be heard!!! As a BONUS I’m throwing in an instrument patch cord so you can hook it right up to your amp or pa.

I never gigged with this synth as it was part of my studio rig.” Link

“Excelled condition vintage moog Micromoog analog monosynth. Excellent as in almost new for a 33 year old. All keys are straight and level, unlike others on ebay.
100% working, 100% in tune, 100% moog phattness!
Oscillator doubling: 1 or 2 octave:: adds a sub wave to your oscillator. Constant wave shaping on the oscillator from triangle to saw to square.
The filter is amazing. It even has an input.
It’s resonance is wet and dirty with osc mod to the filter. Ear candy
Only a Minimoog can come close to the sound it makes. except the Micromoog has modulation routings with an LFO.

It’s a scaled down mini, but with further mods..making it pretty sweet. It’s really light to carry and it stays in tune better.

it can sound as smooth as a minimoog but with a flip of a switch it can sound as mean as a future retro 777.

No scratchy knobs, No dents, no dings, no blems.
Recently serviced with new IC for the envelope contour section. A full cleaning and calibration.
All audio inputs and outputs on the back work. All control Voltage inputs and outputs work.
Studio kept, never gigged with.
Note: the only reason why it’s not mint is that the octave knob and mod routing knob wiggle a bit and feel loose. however they Functions perfectly. ” Link

Zustand:
Optisch: Für sein Alter noch recht gut. Natürlich nicht neuwertig. Siehe Fotos.
Technisch: Alle Funktionen nochmal durchgetestet. Kein Kratzen etc. Lediglich bei der ganz rechten Taste muss man etwas stärker draufdrücken.” Link

“Original 1977 Micromoog Model 2090 up for sale. This is a tough one to find. As hard as it is for me to let it go, I just don’t use it anymore and I need to put some money together to buy a new PA. All functions work great except for the modulation. I can get it to work if I press down on the body so I assume its a minor connection problem. All the other knobs work fine including the pitch ribbon and all keys. This is a classic.” Link

“I am selling my Micromoog. I already have a minimoog. I bought the micro for the gritty oscillators and sample and hold, but I can’t afford to keep it just for that. This micromoog is in excellent operational and cosmetic condition. It was stored in a closed studio for the last 25 years before I recently bought it. There is some wear on the slider touch pad (still works perfectly though) and right wood side has a chip in it and has a small amount of the plastic covering over the wood gone, but it isn’t really very noticeable as you can see. Other than that the synth is in absolute perfect condition. Not even a scratch or mark anywhere else. Also, unlike most other micromoogs, the plastic on this one hasn’t yellowed. All the pots are clean and smooth and all the keys work great. I lubricated the potentiometers and calibrated the synth when I got it. I need to sell it so I can buy some other goodies!! (I need an analog polyphonic synth with more than 4 voices. I am maybe willing to trade.)

The Micromoog is guaranteed to be in perfect working order when you receive it. ” Link

“This is a vintage (1981) Micromoog Synthesizer, Model 2090 Serial #7714. I purchased this instrument new and have rarely used it in over 30 years. Consequently, it is nearly perfect condition. The only issue I know of is that there is some static produced when the last few of the lower keys are depressed. My guess is that the contacts need to be cleaned. This is a monophonic (single voice) synthesizer with one oscillator. Included is the original “Micromoog Operation Manual” by Tom Shea and the original sound worksheets. Here is an opportunity to own a nearly pristine instrument capable of producing all those great sounds of the ‘70’s. ” Link

“Up for auction we have a moog micromoog in excellent condition both cosmetically and mechanically as it was recently tuned up by a local tech. This moog was manufactured in 1975 and was one of the final Moogs manufactured by Bob Moog!! This has to be the most versatile monosynth I’ve used, it is excellent for huge basses and soaring leads and is capable of an amazing range of wild spacey noise effects. The sample and hold is simply amazing and the routing options are far better than all the other Moogs Ive owned. This synth has to be one the best values in its class!!” Link

“For sale is a Moog Micromoog vintage analog synthesizer. Everything seems to work as it should – it does show it’s age in some respects, of course, but these are all cosmetic (some yellowing of Moog logo on back of synth, etc.). All of the knobs and switches seem to work as they should. I’ve been collecting samples from this unit for a while now but with the loss of a job recently, I’ve got to sell some of my collection – and at low prices so they’ll sell fast.

As I said, this unit works perfectly. I cannot, however, test the Moog’s “Open System,” which apparently is sort of like MIDI control for Moogs of this era. I don’t have a way to test this, so I can’t guarantee it will work if you’re looking to sync up a few or several of these for some reason (I doubt it is a function that gets used anyway). ” Link

“For sale is a Moog Micromoog, model# 2090 .

Item Condition: The item(s) is used and being sold as-is. From what we found online, all were built between 1975 – 1979, so it is at least 30 years old, and it show’s its age. Some of the screws that hold the bottom panel on are missing.

How we tested this unit and the results:

Unit powers on
Audio output works when hooked up to a speaker and keys are pressed
We do not know what it is “supposed” to sound like, so we can not say if it is “working as it should”. We believe that it is not fully functional, because with the switches and knobs set to certain settings, no audio was produced. There was not a wide range in audio output no matter what keys we pressed/switch settings. We are hiding nothing, but it is sold as is.

Serial Number: 2541 (we believe, according to the hand-written serial number tag).” Link

“Up for auction today is a vintage Micromoog.

Synth is in used condition but I don’t know much about these and I have tested it only to the best of my capabilities.
I would say for all parties to be happy just consider that maintenance will need to be preformed once received.

When I hooked it up I was able to get sound out and fully manipulate the oscilation and modulation.

The Pitch bar was fully functional.
But what I couldn’t do is make the sound stop coming out and play it like a piano. Maybe it’s my lack of knowledge, I don’t know.

All the keys are nice and lined up and all the springs are nice and tight. The lowest key however did not change the octave of the note.
Also there is one white switch cover that is missing. The switch is there and functions fine.

Mood also comes with service and field manuals.” Link

This is a Moog Micromoog monophonic synthesizer. It’s in great shape and comes with a custom hard-shell case that would cost you $100+ on its own. I also have some s-trig connectors that I’ll throw in just in case you have any use for them.

The only real negatives are the typical wear of a 30+ year old synth and a spot of wear on the ribbon controller, very common to all Moogs that have them. The bottom also has a decent amount of wear, but that isn’t a big deal for most folks. One or two of the keys might also stand to be re-bushed at some point, but all work fine. And most importantly – everything works very well – warms up fast, stays in tune, sounds great. The Micromoog is probably the most versatile single-oscillator synth out there. I owned a Roland SH-101 for a while and you can get a much wider range of sounds and tones out of the Micromoog. I hate to sell it, but sometimes you just have to move on.”

This is the classic fat Moog sound from back in the day.

All original parts. I’m the second owner. Had it since 1980. It’s been in my basement, in a box, cool and dry, for the last 20 years. It’s time to admit that I’m not going to play it again, so I should let someone else have the pleasure.

When I got it out and plugged it into my guitar amp, it sounds like nothing has changed. All the keys play fine, all knobs and switches sound great. I opened it to check the wiring and all looked good (though I’m not an expert on this).

Now I want to emphasize that this is not in mint condition. I didn’t tour with it, but I did play local gigs. It has some minor scuffs (see pictures). I got it as a teenager and loved it for five years, played in on and off for another five, then stored it for twenty. Now it is an awesome piece of history. So please look carefully at the photos to see what you are bidding on.” Link

“Micromoog analog synthesizer, c. late 1970′s, serial number 6464. Excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition. Everything works and looks great. A monophonic analog synth with voltage controlled oscillator [VCO], modulation oscillator, noise source, and voltage controlled filter [VCF], voltage controlled amplifier [VCA], two contour generators, and a sample and hold. It has a pitch modulation wheel and ribbon controller for those giant effects. The fabric on the ribbon controller is a little ragged but it works fine. It has a 21 note keyboard which, by using the pitch shift, covers all 88 pitches possible. DJs take note. This synth, although it comes with its own keyboard, can also accept an audio feed which means you can feed audio from another keyboard, turntable or CD and process that signal through everything! “Sadly, I must part ways with my Micromoog. The synth is fully functional, and was recently service by Kevin Lightner (very reputable synth-tech) only two weeks ago, and about seven months ago before that. Check out Kevin’s list of clients… http://www.synthfool.com/clients.html

…amazing.

Anyway, the synth is in good condition cosmetically. The only notable blemishes are on the logo plate on the back, which you can see in the pictures.

I will also include a padded road-case.

This synthesizer is extremely underrated. While it only has one oscillator, this is easily compensated for by the doubling function (which adds some sub-octaves to your sound, adding that moog fatness.) Also, it has good modulation capabilities, filter mod. by osc. function, and open system inputs and outputs, all of which make this thing a super versatile synth whether you need fat basslines, noise drones, or spacey effects.” Link

How cute! A tiny Moog, but don’t underestimate it. Sure, it’s just a single-oscillator monophonic synth, designed as a solo performance Moog. But it’s an not so expensive alternative to the Minimoog. In fact, it is often used as just a stand-alone filter processor since it has a filter that is virtually identical to the Mini, and accepts external sounds for processing through it! It also employs a ribbon controller (which was a cool new feature) for pitch bending. Notice that there are still plenty of knobs to give you access to the shape of your sounds! anyone who’s had one of these will know its a powerful synth, more modern achitecture and routing than the mini and equally funky-even with just one osc+doubler. the external audio feed brings out unheard of filtration. this played back to back against a modern4osc synth just took the party recently with its fatness and richness and downright dirtiness. One plastic knob is missing and have one downside metal band glued, but is working as it should, modulation freq knob may need little cleaning comes and goes when you turn it very usual thing on vintage old classic synths like this, but still works you just need be patient and use it a little bit, its been sitting around for years. “Moog Micromoog

The Moog Micromoog is a very powerful, vintage analog synthesizer with really flexible sound sculpting capabilities.

It has truly been the Swiss Army knife of my studio. There is nothing like the genuine vintage Moog filter and “fat” sound.

You can see and hear the very Micromoog I am selling in this auction in my youtube video: http://www.youtube.com/user/TomThayer#p/a/u/0/dQSLV1Wual0

I made a video of it so you can see that it is functional and also so you can hear how beautiful and rich this particular Micromoog sounds. I have owned three Micromoogs over the years and I always held on to this one because I always though it had the juiciest, most alive sound. It is an earlier one from 75 or 76, perhaps that has something to do with it.

As you can see and hear from the images and video, it is in good physical shape for being 36 or so years old and it sounds awesome!

When I first got it, around eleven years ago, some of the key bushings were going and the J-wires were showing their age, so I bought a new-old-stock Micromoog keyboard on ebay (it was still in the plastic shrink wrap!) and had the keyboard replaced. What a joy to have an original, but new condition keyboard on this Micromoog.

The Pitch ribbon on this Micromoog works great too, which is rare!

One slider cap is missing and the Bypass slider switch was replaced by a previous owner at some point and is now scratchy. You have to finesse it into a good spot. The other switches and knobs work well.

I am a visual artist, not a musician. I used the Micromoog to make sound effects and experimental songs for films and animations. If you are going to use the Micromoog to make traditional music, you might need to reference the instruction manual and follow the instructions on tuning. Perhaps you can tell from watching the video if it is in tune or not.

There are lots of great things about the Micromoog, but one of the coolest it that it has an audio input and you can run sound into it to be processed by the Moog filter!

Included in this auction are:

-The Moog Micromoog

-A really nice, spiral bound Micromoog instruction manual

-And a pair of special male and female Cinch Jones to 1/4″ cables for the Moog that you will need to trigger the Micromoog from another analog synth or an analog sequencer or to use the Micromoog’s Keyboard to trigger another synth.

I have absolutely loved this synth and now it is time for it to go out and have more adventures, I know you will love it too.” Link

It’s got a really low serial number which is good I guess (or bad depending on your view of Moog electronics). The keyboard is in great cosmetic shape as you can see and overall in excellent functionality. I noticed a few scratchy pots when I put this demo together. Also some of the keys are stiff and high.

Also please, please keep in mind this is 31 year old keyboard. Everything as far I know works however I have nothing to bench mark it with so please understand what you are getting into before you bid. Its not going to work like a modern synthesizers” Link

“its time to say goodbye to my vintage micromoog. it has held its own with my mini but now i need something i can tour with and analogue gear is too precious. it has its own aggressive yet sweet sound, amazing for bass. this unit has been checked over by a tech earlier in the year and is in great working condition, recently tested. cosmetically its also great. tuning is very stable and power is european 230V but is easily changed. this unit has been used on tracks for bootsie collins and incognito for bass duties. there are a few marks on the back of the unit due to some strange individual putting gaffer tape or such on the synth. i’m sure they can be cleaned off but i never bothered as it did not worry me. i hope the photo shows this.

i am assuming everyone knows what this is. it is a single oscillator moog synth that was used by the likes of Herbie Hancock. it has the identical filter to the minimoog and the famous ribbon pitch bend. some have said they even prefer it for bass. audio can also be processed via the filter

it has seen studio use only ( non smoking ) and been dust covered every single night of its life. it is looking for a new family, please be gentle. questions welcome .. deutsch oder english.” Link

“1975 Vintage Micromoog, very good condition. Very early serial number (1445), just thoroughly serviced. ALL KEY BUSHINGS REPLACED, all pots and switches cleaned, fully calibrated. Synth is quiet and the keys feel great. Ribbon controller works fine. Needs nothing. If you’re not very familiar with the Micromoog you can start your research here:

Early Micros (below serial 2000) didn’t have washers on the screws that hold the particle-board bottom, which often caused the screws to be pulled through. In this particular piece some wood-filler was used to remedy this, and the bottom has been re-sprayed black. Washers were also installed. For full desclosure, is worth noting that:

- The Moog logo badge is missing from the front panel.

- There are e few light scratches and nicks on the faux-wood sides’ aluminum edges (although not on the “wood” itself), as well as on the front panel. These are minor to the point where i could barely get them to show on the pictures.

- The rubber feet are not present.

- The power cord has a small section which is a bit chewed up. Since this didn’t affect the braided wire inside, it was taped over instead of replacing the original cord.

These are all minor cosmetic issues and not uncommon on a piece of equipment that has been around for 35 years (the inspection label inside is dated 1975, first year of production). Make no mistake, the Synth looks great. More importantly, it plays great and in tune, and sounds, well, like a real, all-analog vintage Moog should: Huge and as warm as they get.” Link

“Up for auction is my Moog Micromoog.

These are getting pretty hard to find nowadays. This one is in good condition. The guy I bought it from had just had it serviced by a local Moog tech., so there shouldn’t be any issues. It’s been great while it has been in my possession which is just bedroom studio use. ” Link
