There are two small problems with it. The key on the far right of the keyboard doesnt trigger any sound and the sample and hold feature is working. Other than these minor issues the synth is in perfect working order. No noisy pots. Sounds great.

“Up for sale is my vintage 1970’s analog monophonic Moog. The beloved Micromoog! It is described as the “Moog synthesizer for everyman.” That it is indeed. This keyboard sounds SO good! It is my first analog synth and I want to keep it forever for future projects and for nostalgia but hard financial times require me to sell it. The Micromoog consists of the necessities: one voltage controlled oscillator (VCO), one voltage controlled amplifier (VCA), two contour generators, and one sample and hold. The ‘open system’ inputs and outputs make this Micromoog a basic musical building block which can be expanded to meet your growth. This keyboard has been taken care of wonderfully, having been serviced a few times over the years. Some pots are a little scratchy now and then but go away if you let the synth warm up for 20 minutes. This is a wonderful studio or stage synth, perfect for performers that want that fat Moog sound for bass and lead patches. There are some standard scratches and dings in its housing but nothing too bad. More pictures available on request. It also comes with its own custom hardshell roadcase that my tech that performed the service on the Moog said was used by the band Yes, if you care. This assembly has never been installed in any keyboard and is still it it’s factory plastic covering.
The covering has been opened on the bottom side.
Contact wires and mechanical key parts are in incredible shape.
Overall length is 18″ and there are 19 keys total (this does include a solid white end key).

It has been stored clean and dry in my studio for 14 years. It has never been modified in any way. Everything works 100%. I am selling it because I don’t use it enough and I need the space.
The MicroMoog is played by legends like Kraftwerk and Herbie Hancock. It may be the most versatile monophonic analog synth in its league, some musicians even prefer it to the MiniMoog. It is excellent for out-of-this-world effects and still playable as a lead instrument. With a good FX unit it can sound like almost anything. “This unit seems to work okay. There is an unpleasant, scratchy, distorted sound that accompanies all the sounds. I opened it up to see if it was dusty, but it wasn’t. This would be a good unit for parts or for rebuilding and is priced accordlingly. The ribbon controller (bar to the far left of the manual) still works, which I understand is rare for these models.” Link
“This is a vintage MicroMoog Synth (I believe it’s a ‘79) – a brilliant voltage-based instrument. Pre-MIDI (though there are people in the world who can mod these…), glitchy (it is old – the pitch strip is a little testy), versatile. The first Moog I ever came into contact with and it still blows my mind. Hard to give it up, but I’ll ship it to you lovingly packed in egg-crate foam and placed in a vintage brown Samsonite suitcase, then packed in bubble wrap and insured like crazy. This instrument is love at first sight – Enjoy!!! Also included in this auction is a near mint 100 page original copy of the MicroMoog Operation Manual, by Tom Rhea – Complete with presets, exercises, schematics, fine-tuning instructions and a history of the synth! • Classic Seventies Sound

• Interacts with the world only through 5V control voltage — this is vintage, a decade before Midi

“This particular beast was made on April 1, 1976, but far from a joke; it is an awesome old beast.
I am not a collector, but a player and certified tech. I repair many of the synths in the midwest KC area, and keep many musicians in “play”. I am also a demanding player.
The Filter Contour Pot and knob are not original, and it has some warts and discoloration externally, but as an instrument it is 100% operational and ready for your sonic arsenal.
Bottom particle board panel is a bit ugly, but that is original. Added a new AC power cable. Old one was corroded and nasty.
In addition I have just rebuilt the Pitch ribbon and have gone over several internal connections to insure quality of operation. Stays in tune and doesn’t freak (unless you want it too.) No spider eggs either. ” Link
