” SUPER RARE MINI KORG 700 SYNTHESIZER FROM 1973, IN FULL WORKING ORDER AND CUSTOM FLIGHTCASED.
THIS WAS THE FIRST SYNTH KORG MADE, AND PRE DATES ALL THE OTHER CLASSIC SYNTHS THAT CAME FROM THEM.
I HAVE IT ON GOOD AUTHORITY THAT THIS USED TO BELONG TO BOBBY HEATLIE AND WAS USED TO WRITE THE 1980′S NUMBER 1 HIT “JAPANESE BOY” BY ANEKA FOR THOSE THAT ARE INTERESTED, SO IT’S GOT SOME HISTORY BEHIND IT!
PLEASE SEE THE PHOTOGRAPHS TO GET A CLOSER LOOK AT THIS WONDERFUL PIECE OF SYNTH HISTORY.
IT IS FULLY WORKING COMPLETE WITH THE FOLLOWING QUIRKS; VOLUME SLIDER IS A BIT CRACKLY SO PROBABLY NEEDS A CLEAN, AS DOES THE PERCUSSION SLIDER. THERE IS A CHIP ON THE UNDERSIDE OF THE D2 KEY BUT THIS DOES NOT AFFECT THE PLAYABILITY, AND ALSO THERE IS A FAG BURN ON THE A3 NOTE, AGAIN THIS DOES NOT AFFECT THE PLAYABILITY, JUST ADDS TO THE CHARM!!
THERE ARE THE USUAL WEAR MARKS AROUND CERTAIN KNOBS, THIS IS SHOWN IN THE PHOTOS FOR CLOSER INSPECTION.
PLEASE ASK ANY QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING” Link

“Unixox Mini-Korg K-1 Synthesizer 700, serial # 1359. Made in Japan early 70′s by Keio Electronic Tokyo Japan. Got this with Hammond Organ purchase.I don’t know too much about this unit really, but what I understand very popluar in the ’70s ’80s with bands like The Cars,Kitaro & Vangelis to name a few. The unit is clean with no broken, or chiped keys see pictures. All knobs & slider knobs are orignal and in good condition see pictures.Did touch up the end block wood,it had with few chips nothing to bad see pictures.I did remove top metal panel in order to clean and inspect the keys, also looked at electronics, appear all original with no boken wires or old repair see pictures, but I did not totally disassemle the unit to look under the keys,I’m simple not qualified tech to do so. Did plug the Mini-Korg to my bass amp, and this does a lot of Syntheriszer sounds & option. I only noticed little scratch noice in some of the setting, believe it’s a easy to fix with Detox sprayed to the pots, but I leave that up to you. This is uniq Synthersizer, but this unit is 40 years & I cannot guarantee it’s working like new when it came out in 1974. Sold as is. ” Link
“Up for auction we have this beautiful Minikorg 700, made in Japan and imported recently from Sheffield, United Kingdom (240v electrics). Apparently this is Korg’s first synthesizer and the first to be made in Japan!
It is in great condition for it’s age (40 years old), cosmetically it is very good with a few scratches and a very little flaking as can be seen in the photos. The woodwork is excellent. It has a full compliment of original knobs and sliders. It has two oscillators that offer triangle, sawtooth and square waveforms, and three ring modulators for sounds and noises; said Vintage Synth Explorer. There are some analog effects built in such as portamento, a repeat-delay, bender, vibrato and chorus waveforms.
This model of synthesizer was used by Reproduction and Travelogue era Human League, also by The Cars, Kitaro and Vangelis. For such a small synthesizer it has a fantastic range of sounds, all with the classic 1970′s flavor. The depth and richness of tone can’t be emulated by modern virtual analogs, like the Microkorg.
This synthesizer will be shipped safely in an original 1970′s custom built flightcase which is heavy and solid, lined with soft and padded green, furry velour.” Link
“Vintage analog synthesizer by KORG. The model K-1 synthesizer or Mini-Korg was sold by Univox in the early 1970′s. A piece of analog history. All controls function however one key requires a repair as it does not make a sound. In addition, there are 4 of the small control knobs missing otherwise the keyboard is in very good condition. ” Link
“This machine plays flawlessly and sounds HUGE!! Many fun options to play with which, offers up all kinds of creativity!
You’ll find it hard to exhaust the uses of this machine! The only “flaws” are cosmetic being: One key has a repaired crack and one other key has a small cig burn on it (see pictures). These were present when I purchased this many years ago. These things are only cosmetic and do not affect the performance of this great synthesizer! There’s also just a few scratches on the wooden end cheeks and metal under the keys, very minor though. I kind of hate letting it go but I’m changing up some machines in the studio and I only have limited room.
Every function, switch, dial, slider, EVERYTHING WORKS 100%!!” Link
” Selling my Vintage analogue Korg miniKorg700 synth. Its roughly 37 years old ,bought it from a collector who’d looked after it for most of its life.It works great ,there might be a little need to clean the volume sliders as there is a tiny bit of crackle but its so small i haven’t been at all bothered. When the desired volume is selected the sound is pure magic and no distortion what so ever. There is a bit of light cosmetic wear but hey it’s 35 odd years old.Used on legendary recordings by The Human League etc ,a very distinctive warm sound Very easy to use and achieve astonishingly gorgeous full analogue sounds,The vibrato is AWESOME” Link
“You are bidding on a used Korg vintage synthesizer made in 1973. This keyboard was sold under the following names: miniKorg 700, Korg k-1, Korg model 700, Univox K-1 This keyboard has been serviced by an electrical engineer and all functions are working as best as I understand them. However, I am not hearing any change in the vibrato speed when adjusting the “speed” slider. All waveforms work. All keys work. Portamento is AMAZING! Google this keyboard to learn all the famous bands and individuals who have recorded with it! ” Link
“For Sale : Univox Mini-Korg K1 Analog Synthesizer
This K1 is pretty special .. For starters – it is 100 % working condition ( no scratchy pots or sliders), and is also in nearly mint condition, save for one scratch which I have shown. Other than that – it is in amazing condition – as in no blemishes. Also, I have had the original wood caps, front pieces professionally replaced in Bubinga wood by Analogics. The wood is a dark reddish color now and the finish is flawless. Very cool looking. Lastly, it comes with the original case as shown .. apparently someone named Max Jersey owned it prior, back in the day. Otherwise the case in decent condition – although I will of course bubble wrap/peanuts inside case – and then box again around it. (It is not anvil sturdiness by any stretch). Naturally, it sounds awesome as well .. ” Link

“This auction is for 1 x KORG Mini 700 Analog Monophonic Synthesizer (actual item in photo)
The MiniKORG 700 (circa 1973/4) was Korg’s first commercially available analog monosynth.
The unit functions as it should and is in good condition for it’s age. There are no crackly pots or sliders, each one has been treated with Caig Labs DeoxIT Fader F5. There are two slider caps and some screws missing from the unit and a few of the keys are worn. There are some cosmetic marks. This of course does not affect the functionality of the synth. In the auction photograph you will see that the Mini 700 is powered up. ” Link
“Rare UNIVOX MINI-KORG
Vintage Analog Synthesizer
First 70s Analog Synth/Organ Made by Korg
Up for the bid, a vintage Univox Mini-Korg that was made for Univox by Korg in early 1970s. It’s a mono synth with a unique analog sound capabilities and character.
This unit is in decent physical condition for its age. There are three known issues as follows:
- two missing slider caps: Attack and Percussion (sliders still work fine!)
- the power control light (above power switch) doesn’t light up (looks like a burned bulb – the power switch works fine)
- one key (lower G-key) was broken but repaired (that now also works fine)
None the above listed issues affect the functionality of the instrument. Please examine the pictures. The last picture shows a closeup of the repaired key.
I tried to test the synth to my best abilities and knowledge and I don’t see any apparent issues. You can get some quite nice and also weird sounds from this synth. It’s perfect for getting those analog sounds into your recording.” Link
“The real THING! A quirdy, fully functional relic from 1973. and the first mini-Korg into the US from Japan’s famous Keio Organ (Electronic Lab Corp). This Univox model is so early (same as miniKORG 700) that no separate model is rendered on the metal factory plate. They did however include serial number 1/48, establishing this specific keyboard synth as one of the earliest known models in the U.S. It is a mono-channel synth, the keboard is not touch sensitive, and slider controls are awkward and programming limited. But oh, what SOUNDS!
This is not just a rock museum look-at-me! Despite heavy use in an Upstate NY (also includes leather-metal tank instrument case) it appears to be properly aged and in full working condition, with sliders, switches, controls snd amazing weird sound effects operative. Because it has not been tested against original factory standards it is being sold used as is, absent any warrant or otherwise.” Link
“Rare & highly sought after Mini Korg 700 in good condition and perfect working order. It does have a few minor scuffs and marks but considering it’ll be celebrating it’s 40th birthday next year it’s not done too badly!
Everything works just as it should and it sounds amazing.
If you are not familiar with the Mini Korg 700 then just do a Google search or check out YouTube for some demos of what it’s capable of. Very unique instrument famously used by Human League, Vangelis, The Cure, Stevie Wonder amongst many others.” Link

DESCRIPTION:Okay folks,-Here we have some cool stuff,I bought some stuff from a storage unit auction and it had alot of David Carr STuff, mainly hand writtem sheet music from various engagments ,some with the California group the Ventures where he was the Studio Keyboardist and arranger. His fame came from the group the “Fortunes” anyway I am selling what I bought so check out my other stuff and save on shipping..this lot is for a Vintage Univox Mini-Korg Synthesizer, this is a real vintage gem, although I cannot prove it was actually his,I have a pretty good idea it was since most all I bought was David Carrs stuff and he was a keyboardist and I also have a Volum Pedal with the word”Ventures” on bottom I am selling too and it also came from the same unit.Anyway this Mini Korg has costmetic problems mainloy, has some chiiped wood sides and some of the knobs are a little bent here and there (see pics) but I took it to my local music store and they plugged it in and I must say it counded awesome.makesa alot of different sounds, even the music guy was impressed,he did say he would have it cleaned since it was sitting for such a long time but otherwisde it played great. It is about 29 1/2″ long and 10″ wide..SO pretty cool if you like Music Memorabilia..That’s all I know of these items.Good luck and thanks for looking.” Link

All of the keys, knobs and switches are in perfect working order. Most of the labels are clean. The unit stays in tune and sounds good. There is a slight ring while you stop playing with some settings. I always used it with a noise gate.
Cosmetics:
- There is a dent under the bender switch (see in picture), cosmetic only.
- There is some rust along the top metal (see picture)
- The wood is tore up pretty bad in a few places (see pictures)
- The tune slider is not original
The locks on the “traveller” sliders for the HPF and LPF have been removed (this sounds great BTW)” Auction ended. Click here to browse on eBay.
“UNIVOX MINI-KORG 700

“This mini korg is in excellent condition being 38 years old, it has very light cosmetic wear. It has a minor chip in the wood on the right side of the keyboard and a few of the slider knobs are missing but otherwise they all work and it sounds beautiful. Powers on and plays great. I have been amused by this synthesizer the second I got my hands on it. I took many pictures so you can see what you will be getting. There is a door in the back of the korg that allows you to store the cord the door still opens, closes and locks. ” Auction ended. Click here to browse on eBay.
“Vintage analog synth. Appears to have been sitting around awhile. Everything appears to be working fine, a couple of the knobs and sliders are a little scratchy, but, the more I used them the less scratchy they got. I’m guessing just needs a good cleaning. Cosmetically I would give it a 6 out of 10, has a few wear marks and scratches from use. Functionality I would give it a 9 only because of the scratchy pots. Great vintage analog monophonic synth.” Auction ended. Click here to browse on eBay.
“MiniKorg 700 Synthesizer Seems to work fine Has some wear and tear – see photos” Auction ended. Click here to browse on eBay.
“This a Univox Mini-Korg K-1 Synthesizor made around 1973. Some of the knobs are not original, but all switches and sliders function. Sounds absolutely amazing, fat dripping wet synth sound.
The low G key has very small hairline crack (see pics) the key still functions and is usable but over time this will probably get worse and need to be glued/repaired. But works just fine now.
I will ship in an old hard shell case which is a little to big for the K-1 but i will pack tightly.” Auction ended. Click here to browse on eBay.
