With the patch panel you can create numerous sounds typical for the vintage Korg synthesizers. The Korg PS3100 is completely serviced a short while ago. The service consisted of:
- Defect fuse in PSU (repaired).
- Complete recap, also of the power suplly.
- LM358P on CTRL-board-1 defect. Revised and calibration is ok.
- Gate-boards checked and readjusted.
- Connectors of cards renewed.
- keyboard contacts and other contacts cleaned and treated for better contact.
- Complete calibration of all voices.
- New led light for the on/off button.

This is one of them – Korg SQD1 digital midi recorder. Bought this years ago from a closing down music shop (it was used when I bought it) and I have never even switched it on until today! It powers up fine and thats as far as I have tested as I do not have the rest of the kit to see if it works fully. Can see no reason why not. No instructions but can be found on the web, there is a disc in the unit which is included. What is on it, lord only knows.
It comes in a wooden home-made flight case, rudimentary but effective. Heavy in the case so I would prefer collection if possible.” Link

“Korg Poly 800 Vintage synth. Comes with original Korg power supply. Works great and sounds like an 80′s vintage synth. Memory is protected by a basic CR2032 Battery which is soldered in place on mainboard. In the future, replacing it may require solder skills although i have installed the removable type of battery clip like a pc motherboard has. Many people modify these synths with “Moogslayer mods” etc…I have a great soundset loaded from Strellis.com a great resource for these boards. Different soundsets can be loaded with a wav or mp3 file from a computer, iphone, mp3 player etc

I have used this board for bass lines and screaming leads. It, as most vintage analogs, enjoys playing havoc on tuning issues, but the thickness of the sound is hard to beat. This board also includes a road case that will be used to ship the synth. There is also the original owner’s manual as well as a photocopy of the schematics for those who are brave enough to open up and look inside. Cosmetically, the board has no issues. The autos damp switch works correctly, but is a little more flimsy than the others. I have never had a problem with the functionality of the switch.” Link

This unit can be used to make some really awesome sounds when sending an LFO through the wave selector; combined with the built in arpeggiator, very complex sequences can be evolved. The waves in these machines were digital but the filters were voltage controlled which prevents ugly aliasing. Functionally, the unit is 9/10 – the last key does not function. I’ve never tried to fix it. Cosmetically, the unit is 7/10. Silkscreening is fine, LED display is solid. Just shows its age. It is a little scuffed up but and one button sticks, other than that it seems to be fully functional. This synth is fully functional and in excellent cosmetic shape, even the fake “wood” is looking great, which is a rare thing for these old keyboards! Only some very light peeling/flaking around the sides corners. The battery issue has been taken care of, so there is no worries there. The only issue I noticed is the front rubber feet are removed so it could sit more easily on my keyboard stand. A simple trip to a hardware store for parts and you can have a replacement pair screwed in if you feel you need them. This is a great sounding synth, beautiful six voices or stacked for thick mono. Cool features like patch memory, arpeggio, chord memory and built in chorus/phaser/ensemble. An awesome sounding synth all around.” Link
“Korg Poly 800 in good shape. The tab around the joystick is peeling but that could be fixed with some glue. It shows normal signs of wear for a synth this age. Scuffs and marks all around. Here’s the issue:
I bought this about 2 years ago. It worked fine but the previous owner had created their own sounds all with a very slow envelope. I reset the factory sounds and it played great. Then I turned it off. Problem was it wouldn’t store any newly edited sounds. So I figured it was the battery. The old battery was soldered on but in removing i, I broke the metal tabs. I decided I didn’t want to risk damaging the motherboard by soldering in the new battery. I would recommend this only for someone with good soldering skills. I can’t guarantee it will work perfectly with the new battery but it should.
Comes with the new and old battery and new battery holder. Also included is a reproduction of the manual.

The original owner, an elderly gentleman, bought it for his wife to learn to play the organ, but she did not like it so it sat in its original box for years until he finally decided to sell it on Craigslist, where I bought it. “For sale is a vintage Korg Ms-50 modular analog synth, expander module for the MS-20, MS-10, SQ-10 series. These are rare and getting very hard to come by. This works great with the MS series synths or as a stand alone unit. In excellent shape and is fully functional. The only issue with is it the backlight to the VU meter is out (should be a simple and cheap fix), but the VU meter itself still works. The bass on this is insane, even deeper and fuller than the MS10, MS20. Much more interesting Lo-pass filter as well, along with tons of cool features like Sample & Hold, Integrator, Inverter, Multi-s. Fully patchable with loads of features, this makes a great cheaper alternative to the Arp 2600. One interesting feature is there are inputs in the oscillator section that can take both Korg MS series Hz/V scaling and the standard Octave/V scaling that most other analog synths use, so you can play the oscillators with a wide variety of synths and still be in tune. “Up for sale is KORG MS-10 vintage analog synthesizer. A classic analog synth released by Korg in 1978, known for its great bass and percussive sounds.
I tested the unit but the sound goes on and off during play, and the output level becomes very low or sometimes just disappears when that happen. Also I couldn’t seem to get the pitch or tone from the keys when I played, but I’m not an expert these so I’m not sure whether I had the correct setting for it or not. But otherwise the unit makes a sound, and the knobs seem to be responding when you turn them. I have not tested the patches.
