I just had it serviced (SEE PHOTO RECEIPT), for a mod wheel replacement, and to fix the jack. It is fully operational. It takes 10 minutes or so to warm up before playing. Its 30 years old. The case is missing the handle and one latch (i have included an extra latch). The cable is intact but has become microphonic, it would be a good idea to find a back-up. Other than a few chips in the paint and some belt buckle rash it is in good shape. 7.5/10″ Link

This Yamaha KX5 MIDI Controller Keytar has been sitting in my SMOKEFREE studio for the past year with about less than 3 hours of use on it. This is still VERY NEW and doesn’t even have one scratch or dent on it. The original product sticker is still on the back! Not bad for 27 years! I slaved this unit with my Micro Korg and EXS, and it was TONS of fun. The ribbon cable appegiator is probably the best this about this, besides the fact that it’s an 80’s KEYTAR! “It’s all there except for the knobs and screws. I disassembled this unit 20 years ago to refinish and got the wood parts stripped and sanded and that’s as far as I got. There are a lot of parts there, all the parts except the knobs and screws that are lost. It was working just fine. Good restoration project.

Hier gibt es ein Moog Liberation, eine Variation auf das Thema Moog the Rogue, aber pass auf ! Der Liberation ist viele mehr als einem Rogue-Keytar. Mit dem Aftertouch und zusatzliche Modulationsmöglochkeiten ist es ein sehr Expressives Instrument.

Es klingt wie man von Moog erwarten darf. Einzigartige Bässe und Leads.

Ach, Sie wissen immer…..

Dieser Liberation funktioniert einwandfrei, alle Knopfen Tasten, ribbon usw. machen was sie sollen. Für das Alter sieht den Liberation auch sehr gut aus (schauen Sie mal die Bilder an) und dieses seltenes Gerät kommt mit der originale Stromversorgung (mit verbindungskabel, selbstverständlich) und im Original-koffer (case). Der Koffer ist sieht aussen gut benützt aus, aber innen, wollte man sich so zu schlafen legen…..sehr schön.

Griffen Sie mal die Chance an, ein wirkliches seltener Moog zu bekommen!

“Hi, and thanks for looking! This auction is for a Yamaha SHS-10R vintage 1980′s keytar. This item has been tested and given a light cleaning. It does work, sounds great, all buttons were tested and it all works perfectly. Pitch bend, voice selection, etc, all works. I do not have the equipment to test the MIDI functions. This one does have the very important battery cover, and both strap buttons are still present. It is unmodified. There is a couple light scratches on the body in a few spots but no outright abuse. This is a good instrument and you will enjoy its awesome sounds. As you can see in the picture, some of the keys lean to one side, I don’t know why that is, they work fine, and are not loose. Just an observation. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask! Batteries not included, uses 6 AA’s or a 9V wall wort. I tested it with batteries. ” Link

This Yamaha SHS10 keytar plays great, just like it did have in the late 1980s.
It has lots of different features, beats, and sounds.
These were built in 1987 and only came out in Black, Gray, and Red… you can bid on a red one here!

It has a few light scratches but nothing major. Everything works great!

What is included is the Keytar, User Manual, Playing Electonic Keyboard for Beginners Book.

The SHS-10 does not include a strap.
It will take either an ac adapter or six AA batteries, neither included.

It’s been tested with both adapter and batteries and the cool little keytar works perfectly fine.
I have also had this hooked up to my computer for the MIDI connection and it works well. ” Link

“It has been pampered in its original case, all the original components, in Like new condition, with one cracked and repaired key (does not effect the playability) and a few minor scuff marks.

Everything is original from case to strap to the rack mount to the cable to the owners manual. The locks and latches on all sides are in good shape. Red Roland SH-101 with MGS-1 Keytar

“This is a vintage Roland SH-101 synthesizer. Red color.
This syth is in great shape. I bought it new in the early 80′s. I haven’t played it much and it has been in storage for over 20 years. An electronic musician friend used it for a little while about a year after I bought it.
I had this baby sold about a month ago for big bucks. Just as I was about to ship it off, I tested it one last time and found that three keys weren’t working. I panicked, then opened it up and inspected the keyboard circuit. I cleaned the keyboard contacts, which weren’t very dirty at all. Then I noticed that three of the copper tracers on the circuit board were corroded. One of the tracers wasn’t letting any signal through and was the cause of the three keys to not work. I soldered in a jumper/bridge wire that bypassed the corroded spot. The keys now worked. See the second photo to see the corrosion and the wire bridge.
I then soldered two more jumpers on the other two corroded traces just to be safe or proactive.
This baby is now good to go. This, I have learned, isn’t a rare problem and there are discussions online and even you tube videos dealing with it. That sale fell through but the buyer was real nice and left me great feedback.
Enough of that story.
This synth is clean inside and out. I cleaned all of the keys and contacts and vacuumed it all out.
The pots are clean,smooth and not scratchy.
The only cosmetic problems are two tiny scratches on the case just above the modulator label.(see photo)
The battery compartment is in mint condition because I never put batteries in it. I always used an ac adapter. I am including a good ac adapter that doesn’t have any hum, like some.
This comes with the modulation grip MG-1 and the strap holder that mounts on the other side.
Also comes with the original leather Roland strap.
Also comes with the owner’s manual and a CD with downloaded copy of the manual and the service manual.
Also comes with the original box and packing material. Box is in pretty sad shape and is taped together.

This item frequently lists on eBay for $599, but this is an opportunity for you to purchase one for a great price. Overall I’d say this keyboard is in very nice condition, but for two exceptions. First, it is missing its battery compartment cover, which is still readily available on line. More importantly, two of the black keys are damaged, the low Eflat and the high Csharp. If you are at all handy, the unit is very simple to open up and service. All you need is a phillips screwdriver and you can replace them yourself. I’ve included a few pics to show you the portion of the keys that has broken off. It is a little tab on the underside of the keys that you can see in the palm of my hand. The keys still play, but they don’t spring back, which to me makes them unusable. For these reasons I’ve listed the condition of this item as “for parts or not working”. If you’ve always wanted a Keytar and didn’t want to pay the six bills, here’s your chance to get a good deal on one. ” Link
