“Very Good Condition synth. All switches/knobs intact. As seen from photos, any cosmetic issues are light scuffs from use. Works perfectly. NO MIDI, but comes with vintage JSQ 60 sequencer, which is missing “Meas End” button, and new power supply. Sequencer in fine working order, also, with 2000 note capacity. Everything powers on, all led’s light up, and functioning is perfect. Very sad to part with these, but have to make room in studio. The sound on this is absolutely enormous. Has been kept in smoke-free studio, for studio-only use. Comes with blue hard case for Juno 60. ” Link

“For sale a Juno 60 & JSQ-60 Sequencer

The synth sounds flawless and is in good condition for its age. There are two small niggles that don’t effect its performance and I have circled them in the third picture, the pitch wheel toggle has came off and the octave toggle has came off, both still usable and could be replaced for about £20.

This has been cared for like a new born baby, never gigged, I bought it from an original owner, had memory battery replaced few years back. Using the little sequencer is brilliant, dial in a quick bassline riff and play over the top. I have manuals for both the sequencer and synth.

you have heard people say this on here a million times but I am super super reluctant to sell this, I love it, but I am flat broke and it’s got to go. This is a sound investment, they will only become rarer and more expensive.” Link

JSQ-60, Juno 60, Roland @ 15 April 2012, Comments Off

“never thought that my Juno and I would ever part ways. She has been a fantastic developmental tool and my introduction to synthesis.
I hope to be able to gel with another synth as well as I have with her.

As you can see from the photos, I had my desk specifically built to house the Juno and (despite lacking aftertouch) it was to be my controller synth forevermore!
This is mainly due to her fantastic arpeggiator (she triggers in an unusual fashion and does lovely things to other synths with portamento on).

The reason that I’m looking to sell is due to my tastes changing. She has a very recognisable filter that contributes to the sound that defines the 1980s (particularly arpeggiated bass) for me.
I have now started buying earlier synths, for a slightly less aggressive, creamier 70s sound.

CONDITION

She is in perfect working condition. She is also completely aesthetically faultless apart from some scratches to the varnish on the wooden bottom of the synth
(easily recoated if desired) and some tiny dents in the side panels (as shown in the photos). There is a tiny manufacturing fault (a minute raised section of paint),
as shown in the photos too. I didn’t have an appropriate solvent to polish her properly so the photos don’t entirely do her justice.
She also has a plectrum somewhere inside her case that I never removed, included at no extra cost!

The previous owner bought her from new (eventually became a high school music teacher!) and she was exclusively used in his studio. I have only used her in my room.

I was lucky to find her, now you can be lucky to own her.

INCLUDED WITH HER

She includes a custom flight-case, with a luxurious interior and a rugged exterior.

She has the fairly rare JSQ60 included (selling on eBay between £150-£250) The paint is scratched and rusted in one spot on the front, visible in the photos.

I’ve also included the Kenton MIDI to DCB converter (far preferable in my eyes to butchering the synth with a MIDI kit and preventing her ability to connect to the JSQ60/Roland drum machines and a Jupiter).

All appropriate cables and plug adapter/power adapters are included also.” Auction ended. Click here to browse on eBay.

“Offered for sale is this Roland JSQ-60 sequencer in near mint condition and excellent working order. It comes boxed in the original packaging (outer box a bit tatty) and with the original instructions (see photos below). A nice companion for your Juno 60 or Jupiter 8…

This sequencer connects to a Juno 60 or Jupiter 8a (and modified early Jupiter 8s) via its hardwired DCB cable and allows you to record and overdub up to 2000 note sequences either in real time or in single step loading. It features two DIN Sync outs, allowing control of anything equipped with a DIN Sync socket (ie, TB-303, TR-808, TR-606, CR-8000 etc). It also has a tape interface for saving/loading compositions, which can be used with almost any recording/playback medium (eg computer DAW) for backing up recorded songs. It retains the last composition in internal memory, even when switched off. It is powered by a standard 9v boss type adaptor (not included).

It’s a great and useful bit of kit, especially if you want to get away from computer-based sequencing, and is a great companion to your Juno 60 or Jupiter 8a.” Auction ended. Click here to browse on eBay.

“This Roland JSQ-60 sequencer with built-in DCB cable is in excellent functional and cosmetic condition. The controls and functions have been fully tested and they all work. It works and looks great for a vintage piece that’s seen real use.

The JSQ-60 is a polyphonic sequencer for use with Juno-60 or Jupiter 8 synthesizers. Two SYNC OUT ports are available for interfacing with TR-x0x, CR-8000 or other DIN devices.

Its 2,000 note memory can store an entire composition. The JSQ-60 is capable of both real-time and single-step recording. While listening to previously stored performances, you can overdub up to three times in real time. The JSQ-60 can also memorize patch changes. It also has a built-in metronome.

The JSQ-60 is very easy to use. You can record a sequence, then replay it while you jam over it or tweak the controls on the synth. The key transpose on the Juno-60 can be used during playback to alter the sequence in real time.

No power supply is not included, but functional ones are easy to come by…if you have any pedals or other Roland equipment you’re likely good to go; I use one from Radio Shack.” Auction ended. Click here to browse on eBay.

“Here is a well used but working JSQ-60. 2 photos are of when I first got it. It’s dirtier and has a non-original tempo knob. It has since been cleaned up and an original roland knob is back on the sequencer as shown in the pic of it on top of my Juno 60. It is missing the rest button cap. You can still fit your finger in the hole to hit the rest button but I have never had to use that button. I hit load and play my sequence on the keys, hit stop – reset and play. It does have some scratches and dings so if you are looking for a museum peice, this aint it. Works great but I will be selling my Juno 60 and will have no need for this. JUST TO BE CLEAR THIS SEQUENCER ONLY WORKS WITH A DCB CONNECTION ON A JUNO 60 OR JUPITER 8.” Auction ended. Click here to browse on eBay.
