Grex @ 07 February 2012, “1 Comment”

“Some of you may have heard of the Latronic Notron MIDI sequencer. A rare beast treasured by the few that own them. Even less of you have probably heard of the legendary Grex MXF8 by the same braintrust behind the Notron.

Go ahead, take a moment to scan Youtube and look at the 8 short videos uploaded year ago. Track down other videos and posts about the box if you can.

The conclusion will be clear – a crazy MIDI box that allows you to easily do complex things to your audio. Even today, with the wealth of contorllers, none of them capture the magic like the Grex did.

I don’t think anyone knows exactly how many of these boxes ever made it into production. 10? 50? maybe a few more than that? We’ll probably never know for sure.

In any case, this is a 100% functional Grex MXF8 with printed (and updated) manual, a universal power supply/wall wart, and an extra MXF8 mainboard. I originally bought it intending to modify the source and make a few hardware mods. However, time and circumstances got the best of me, so I am including it here as a source of spare parts in case you ever wear out the MXF8 controls.” Auction ended. Click here to browse on eBay.
