“When I got this synth it had lost its internal memory due to battery failure. I replaced it with a new Swiss made Renata lithium battery so its memory will be good for years. I have not loaded new sounds into this unit. I will leave it up to the new owner to load up their own favorite Yamaha 4op FM sounds.
It has been fully tested as a MIDI controller. All keys sound and
and pitch and mod wheels work as they should. All buttons and controls appear to work as they should with the exception of the
data slider. Not much of an issue unless you prefer to program FM synths from the front panel….personally I prefer a computer!” Link
