Condition is overall pretty good apart from the following 2 issues. The load/up button has had issues in the past. Not too long after I got it it began to get harder and harder to get this button to increase the number range like it is supposed to. I dribbled a bit of isopropyl alcohol down it as I could not get to it from inside. That sorted it out. Some time later it became stubborn again. Same treatment made it work. It is working at the moment but I thought I’d better point this out as it is an important programming button(editors are available though).
The other thing is more cosmetic. The membrane has in places over time become a little torn through use. The previous owner put a strip of sellotape over the patches area. This has undoubtedly protected the membrane for the buttons although it looks a bit naff. The octave button is a bit visible and and dcw 2 env button has a small tear.
I have never really used this keyboard other than to play presets. I got put off programming it when it had the button issue then after I fixed it I began to lose interest and had moved on. Evrything to the level at which I have used it works.” Link

“Up for grabs is a Casio CZ-1000 keyboard w/cover, midi cable, two cartridges, original power cable and owners manual. READ THIS! This keyboard is functional however, #1 the top four far right black keys have collapsed as pictured. All the other keys work. #2 it does not run on batteries, only the power cable. Cosmetically it is in good shape for it’s age. I have used it for a couple of songs that I recorded so it is still very useful. You might want it for parts or the other goodies for your other CZ-1000. I do not consider this keyboard to be fully functional, but is functional. I do not know much about the rest of it. I don’t know digital wave synthesis. I have gotten as far as changing the waveforms and that is it. All the factory presets work. It has a reset button (P button) on the bottom and I reset it to the factory presets. It sounds pretty cool, definitely great digital sounds. Good bass, brass, bell and willow like sounds.” Link

“Made in 1985, this is a Casio CZ-1000. It was Casio’s answer to the Yamaha DX series synths. This is the full-sized 49-key version of a Casio CZ-101. It has the same phase distortion synthesis engine the CZ-101 does. This one’s in better-than-average condition with only minimal wear. All of the keys and buttons work. The membranes over the switches are all intact. (This is unusual for a 25-year-old synth.) All 32 of the internal presets work. I’m including a CD-ROM disk that contains the manual and additional patches. The patches can be loaded into it from your computer via a MIDI cable. This is an excellent lead synth for dance or techno music.” Link
“CASIO CZ 1000 Synthesizer, excellent condition. See pics for overall. Japan made, SN Y1029672. A few scuffs here and there, mainly on the bottom, as usual. Nothing earth shattering. Front panel fine, all membrane switches work. All preset, and internal programs here. The front panel overlay, by the vol. slider, is bubbling a bit. It never bothered me, you can address if it makes you mental. Preset button 1/9 switch underneath can be seen starting to bubble up a bit (pic 2), works fine, though. Display works fine, no bad sections, or problems. All keys very clean, no bent parts. Battery door INCLUDED. Uses 6 D batteries, or CASIO AD5 9V AC adapter. MIDI in and out working. This thing sounds great, although it’s very digital, there are a few sounds that shake the analog house, especially combining sounds, or using the ring modulator. I’ll leave it to you to investigate all it’s functions online. Use as a KEYTAR, as this is sort of light (about 10 lbs.), and the strap buttons are both in place. No manual, I couldn’t find it, so it’s NOT included. PLEASE REMEMBER, if you intend to bid, these things (not just Casio) are VERY fussy about using the proper AC adapter. This one IS VERY FUSSY, it works with the AD5 just fine, but needs to be jiggled with ANY OTHER. If you DAMAGE it by using the wrong adapter, voltage, or polarity, then YOU get to fix it.” Link
