“Great sounding, 1986 vintage synthesizer. Casios’s big high-end poly synth, designed for live performance. Convenient programmable patches, versatile velocity-sensitive and aftertouch sensitive keyboard, onboard chorus. Fat sounds reminiscent of a Minimoog or Yamaha DX. Employs a waveform contouring process called Phase Distortion. MIDI, 8-stage envelopes, 2 oscillators per voice, memory, multitimbrality. Can take a RAM/ROM cartridge to store patches. This unit has an interesting history: it was awarded by the Casio company as a prize, for best electronic music submission. Still in the family since. Excellent condition, never gigged with, mostly stored. Sturdy, heavy steel cabinet is almost scratch-free. Original protruding knobs on the volume and chorus are gone, however the sliders work and there is no chance of damage as before. Unit has been tested recently and works fine. ” Link

Link

“up for grabs is a casio cz-101 synthisizer from the 1980′s. It functions perfectly but the display does not work because I left batteries in it years ago and one of the batteries leaked battery acid on the display. It comes with a cartridge that I bought years ago which has patches on it. Most of the patches work. There is a Moog synthisizer patch on it which still works. It also comes with a power adapter.” Link

“Up for auction is a Vintage Casio Cz-101 Sythesizer Keyboard w/ Music Pack. This keyboard was purchased at a local church sale and is in fair condition(the case has been marked with the name of the previous owner). One of the the keys is a little lower than the rest but it still plays just fine.

I checked the operation with “D” batteries and it worked with no issues. I also checked the operation with my Roland keyboard power adapter(not included) and the cord has to be held just right to power it on. ” Link

“I bought this around 1988. So, needless to say, it is not new. That being said, I think the keyboard is in excellant condition. It has spent most of its life covered or in a box. It was used mostly as a midi controller in the mid 90′s to program sequences for a caribbean band. Really not that many hours over 22 years. The plastic sliders for volume and chorus are missing, but the sliders themselves work fine. Just the plastic thumb things are missing (see photo). The top is not showroom perfect, but very good. There are some scratches on the bottom from various stands. I plugged in the keyboard and all the sounds work as new. I also triggered a sound modual and this also worked fine. Being an old piece of equipment there is no warrantee, but it’s working good now and will not arrive DOA. I can’t believe I have them, but all origional manuals and the power cord will be included. The shipping may seem like a lot, but this thing is heavy and will require a big box to keep it safe.” Link

cz_1 “This is a vintage Casio CZ-1 synthesizer used by the pros since the 80s and is capable of producing that electro-rock/pop sound so popular these days. This item is in mint condition, everything works great and it comes with not one, but two power cords, a memory cartridge, sustain pedal, and a shoulder strap padded bag/case.” Link

“Very good condition Casio CZ-1 phase distortion synthesizer. This is usually considered the best phase distortion synth Casio produced–full sized keys, very expressive touch sensitivity, full MIDI implementation, and low noise outputs. All keys, buttons, sliders, etc. are in fine working order. If you are interested in electronic music, this is a great addition to your set. I’m including a hard road case, manual, and three voice cartridges (these are somewhat rare and hard to come by). It would be hard to find a complete set better or cleaner than this.” Link
