‘Basic synth functionality has been tested. The unit powers up and plays fine, but the main power LED does not light up. The LFO LED blinks fine. Keyboard plays well, and synth VCO, VCA, VCF parameters all seem to work ok. Sounds good.

There are no major scratches or marks, no bent knobs or anything like that. But overall condition looks a little bit used, quite average for Japanese gear. It’s a nice and compact synth, so is easy to fit into a studio.

Shipping is from japan and is insured. Takes 2-3 weeks, usually.” Link

“This original analogue Synthesiser has been unused for about 7 years. Case is tatty mostly on the back( see photos ) All the sounds and knobs are working fine you can create real vintage psychedelic sounds with this mini moog style synth )” Link

“Yamaha Cs 5 monosynth Great little synth for bass Cosmetically in great shape !

Some minor issues – The pitch bend act’s a bit screwy and the external audio input needs repaired as my idiot mate overloaded the signal (Simple repairs for the more electronically minded !) Synth was bought from Analogue Solution in Ex Cond around 1998 and has been lying unloved in my synth cupboard for around 5 years !” Link

“Up for an auction is a very rare Yamaha CS 5,.

Please refer to the photos for cosmetic issue.

This synth is fully working but I believe some of the buttons/knobs need some attention i.e. there is some scratching or irregular behaviour.

The synth is sold as described and as seen.” Link

“In working order, I have tested the EXT-IN using another synth (yamaha DX100 also for sale, see other items) the EXT-IN is a cool feature of this synth and allows for the filler to be used on an external sound source and then the various knobs to be tweaked in real time to trigger some amazing sounds.

This synth pre-dates midi but does have the CV out which can be used with a MIDI convertor.
I have tested all the Knobs and switches, all do their job, a couple of crackles on the VCA intial Level and the VCF switch, but all the main switches/knobs like the Cut off Freq, Resonance work just fine.” Link

cs5 “It was taken in on trade and the keyboard is in overall good condition. I plugged it in and tried all of the keys and they all work. The high F and the keys to the right of it need to be adjusted. If you look in picture 3 the high F is at a slight angle and the other keys feel a little tight. They all went down and returned the way they are supposed to.

All of the knobs seem to work good. Lots of good sounds.” Link
