Has some minor scratching to the edges of the metal panels that has been well touched up and is now only visible in certain light. Also has a slight deformation of the metal panel beneath the keyboard (see pic). This in no way affects the operation of the synth. Dieser hier ist in einem für sein Alter in einem guten Zustand. Alles funktioniert alles einwandfrei.Natürlich hat er hier und da ein paar Spuren und Kratzer, an ein paar Stellen auch auf der Tastatur (s.Fotos).
Im Gegensatz zu seinem größeren Bruder, dem CS-30, ist dieser hier sehr übersichtlich aufgebaut ist. Eine blitzschnelle Umregistrierung ist auch live kein Problem.
Er hat, wie die gesamte CS-Familie, die Yamaha-eigenen 12-bB-Filter und noch diverse andere Yamaha-Bauteile eingebaut, die ihm einen leichten, ganz eigenen Klangcharakter geben.
Der CS-10 hat, wie der CS-5 nur einen VCO. Aber während der CS-5 sich mit nur einer Hüllkurve auskommen muss, hat der CS-10 zwei. Betriebsarten des Oszialltors sind Dreieck, Sägezahn und Pulswelle . Pulsbreitenmodulation auf beiden VCOs. Dazu gibt auch einen Noise-Generator.
Der CS-10 hat ein Multimode Filter mit drei Betriebsarten: Lopass, Bandpass, Hipass.
Der VCO hat 64′, 32′, 16′, 8′, 4′ und 2′
Last not least hat er einen Eingang für externe Signale (umschaltbar -20 / 0 dB). Also wunderbar für Auto-Wah-Effekte, das Filtern von Drumloops und Vocals geeignet.

I bought the most MINT & expensive one from Modeless Factory in Japan last year in the fall.
Near Mint condition. Excellent +++ condition. Fully reconditioned and serviced before I bought it last fall. It costed almost $200 just to have it shipped to me in California from Japan. It has been converted to 110/115v.
110% operational. Not even the pots scratch, since it’s been serviced. Cosmetics looks almost new for a 30yo synth. Looks newer than ALL of my other vintage gear, even the newer ones that are only a year old. No scratches, rust, dents, fades, etc. at all. If any, it will be very superficial and only noticeable under a close eye or magnifying glass, for the anal types. All the keys are great, working perfect and are super white too.

“I am selling my Yamaha CS-50 keyboard. I bought this one and it needed to be calibrated because it was somewhat out of tune. I attempted to calibrate it aaaand I made it worse. I started turning a knob on the voice cards that wasnt the right knob for the CS-50 even because I was refering to a CS-80 manual. I can give you the info on the trimmer that I turned on the two cards. I didnt have a poly synth in my setup so I bought one of these because Page McConnell, of Phish, uses one but this wasn’t actually the sound that I was looking for. I already have a Clavinet and a minimoog soooo, I kind of gave up prematurely on trying to calibrate it. I ended up buying a prophet 08 instead. Its awesome.
