“Rare Classic Roland CR-8000 Analog Drum Machine. Highly sought after, impossible to find.
Fantastic sounding vintage piece. Similar in many ways to the CR-78 and TR-808.
Mechanically excellent, without modifications. Everything works. Cosmetically excellent for it’s age. The plastic case is very clean. Buttons are clean and free of cracks or chips. Unit is in fine overall condition.” Link
“This listing is for a Roland CR-8000 vintage drum machine with MIDI and decay and tuning mod’s done. The unit is 100% functional and is in nice cosmetic shape as well. This is an Australian 240V version but if purchased in the US it will come with voltage converter and adapter. Well maintained and lightly used in a smoke free studio.” Link
“Roland cr-8000 analog drum machine in good condition. comes with clear plastic protective cover.” Link
“Roland CR-8000 good cosmetic condition and great working condition with original owners manual
This is the 240 Volt AC model for AU/UK and Europe. This particular CR-8000 works well nothing broken. all functions work. no scratchy pots or faulty buttons, no battery leakage
The CR-8000 is great machine if you like TR-808 as it sounds similar has Din Sync, Trigger Out options and is programmable. ” Link

“THIS UNIT NEEDS SOME TLC AND A BIT OF LOVING, SOME OF THE SOUNDS DON’T WORK BUT LOOKING ON THE INTERNET THERE ARE SOME SOLUTIONS. I WOULD DO THIS BUT DON’T HAVE THE TIME TO DO IT ALTHOUGH I WOULD LOVE TO RESTORE IT TO ITS GLORY. I HAVE OWNED THIS FOR ABOUT 10 YEARS AND USED IT WITH A MOOG ROGUE A COUPLE OF KEYBOARDS AND A ROLAND 606, BUT I NOW NEED TO SADLY SELL FOR OTHER PROJECTS AND MY KIT IS SLOWLY BEING SOLD ON…..
THIS IS ONE WAY OF SORTING THE PROBLEM……
Reliability : 9
When I bought it, most of the buttons were not working. I took them off, doused the innards in contact cleaner, let it dry overnight, and now it works like new.
I think you could easily use it to a gig with no worries. The technology is very simple, and unlike synthesisers of the same period, you dont need to worry about detuning issues. With it’s terrific improvisational nature, it is ideal for live playing. Much more so than almost any other drum machine I can think of (trigger pads excepted), but you do need to be able to fit in it’s distinct analogue sound with your style. ” Link
