“For your consideration is this cosmetically okay 1970’s era Roland CR-68 serial number 760812 in perfect working condition with foot switch. Classic drum machine perfect for those that need one.” Link
“Used Roland CompuRhythm CR-68 is good condition. Works great. ” Link
“Hello and thanks for looking at my beloved drum machine, i have used it in almost every recording i have ever done, but now its time to pass it on. this is just one of a few peices of kit i need to sell on, theres no room and I’d rather that it went to someone who would use it, rather than it sat in my room just doing nothing.
This unit was made in 1978, so its becoming a grand old piece of kit now. unlike its bigger brother it isnt programmable but to be honest even with the cr78 most people didnt bother programming it anyway, and the 68 has more rhythms on than the 78, both are better sounding in my opinion than either the 909 or the 808, these are beautiful machines and deserve to be used in recordings.
I have to be honest as i dont like to rip people off, but the the push button which controls disco 1 has broken off, it still works perfectly but i feel that i should point this out, so i dont get irrate emails from buyers complaining that i didnt write about this point, other than this one blemish it is in perfect working order. it does have a american power supply to it, but i will send a convertor i bought for it.” Link
“Love the sound of this but have to part ways due to financial considerations. I got it in the shape it’s currently in off eBay about 10 years ago and have taken good care of it. It’s actually barely been used. To my knowledge everything works fine. I checked all the beats and all the buttons/dials, plugged it into an amp and a mixer and consistently got good clean sound.
Important:
The second button from the bottem left is missing its front cap. The button still works fine and can be pressed and used as normal. It pops in and out just like all the other buttons, its just missing the cap.” Link
“Fully functional, gorgeous. Hate to give this up, but I can’t justify letting it sit around unused.” Link
“Up for auction is a rare vintage roland CR-68 analog drum machine in excellent cosmetic and working condition! No reserve!” Link
“ROLAND CR-68 COMPURYTHM
DRUM MACHINE

Iv’e owned this Drum Box since the 80s though I think it was made in the 70s.

“The CR-68 has the same preset rhythms and fills as the CR-78. The sounds are the same too, but the 68 lacks the mixable Metal Beat, Tambourine, and Guiro. The 68 isn’t programmable either, though if you’ve tried to program a 78 you won’t miss that feature. The 68 even has the same trigger outputs on the back. So why not save yourself $500-600 over the 78 and still have all the classic Compurhythm sounds in a smaller package?
In excellent, all original cosmetic condition and working 100%. Some previous owner etched his name and SSN# into the back and there is a small tear in the tolex on one corner.
See my other auctions for more vintage gear.” Link
“For your consideration is this vintage 1978 Roland CR-68 CompuRhythm machine with original owner’s manual. This particular example, serial number 822178, is in excellent condition. The CR-68 is a classic analog Rhythm Machine related to the famous CR-78. The CR-68 has the same sound set and rhythm patterns, but is not programmable and lacks many of the better features found on a CR-78. However the CR-68 does have breaks & fills, an accent that really livens up its beats, and a balance knob that can be used to weird-out the sounds a little bit. A much cheaper alternative to the CR-78 considering it is strictly limited to its preset pattern. This is a great-sounding analog machine,” Link
Roland CR-68 CompuRhythm
Condition: Excellent phyisical condition, but the unit does not turn on or work! I am unable to test the unit, so I cannot guaranty its performance. This unit is indended for a collector or for “parts only.” The unit was stored in an enclosded cabinet free of moisture & smoke. You may be able to repair this unit, but Roland does not service it any longer. ” Link
“This is for a Roland CompuRhythm 68, drum machine / sequencer.
A great vintage Drum Machine capable of some pretty, errr, great Drum tracks!
Reminiscent of Phil Collins “I can Feel it Cominn’”, or Suicide ‘s entire catalogue,
this unit works great and is in great condition based on it’s age.Functionality is perfect, cosmetically is pretty good, however, as seen in the picture the Disco Blue tab is missing, but still works fine. Could be replaced as these are available.I will also include the Roland Trigger pedal that came sold with the unit, originally. Not sure if it’s the original trigger-pedal but it says roland, and it works.” Link
“Roland CR-68 Analogue Drum Machine in great condition and working order. These vintage Roland machines are beautiful to behold and although this model is non programmable it oozes analogue warmth

“Working condition. Checked/played all functions.
Fun device, works great!!” Link
“Sie bieten auf einen gut erhaltenen CR 68. Ich löse meine kleine Sammlung auf und deshalb muss der raus
Das Gerät kommt aus USA, daher muss es mit einem AC / AC- Wandler betrieben werden, was aber kein
Problem ist, da er mitgeliefert wird.
Das Gerät funktioniert ohne Probleme.
Über den einmaligen Sound brauch ich ja wohl nichts zu schreiben” Link
“I Have Tried To Test This But I Don’t Think I Have The Right Equipment
i hooked it up to an amp and i did get output from it
various rythms etc but it was a quite erratic and on and off
I was using stereo audio leads but I don’t know weather this is a stereo unit
i am selling this as tested Spares Or Repairs on this basis
but please be aware that this may need attention” Link
“This is a vintage Roland CompuRhythm CR-68 drum machine. It is near mint-condition. I hate to part with it but need to raise cash for a family matters.
I bought on Ebay in 2008. It’s been in a smoke free environment. Rarely used, mainly just sat on my equipment rack looking cool.’” Link

Perfect working order. Very minor crackles, which is typical with older analog electronics of this nature. Otherwise, like new” Link

The CR-68 offers up the basic set of rhythms and sounds. There’s 4 Rock, 2 Disco, Waltz, Shuffle, Slow Rock, Swing, Fox Trot, Tango, etc… The sounds are analog and include kick, snare, rim, hi-hat, cymbal, maracas, claves, cowbell and congas. These days the CR-68′s sounds are often sampled instead, after which the machine itself may be kept around for use as a paperweight or book-end
This unit is in good condition and works great.” Link
“Roland CR-68 classic analog drum machine with cool mods
Black vinyl-covered box.
This is the baby brother to the CR-78- essentially same sounds and rhythms, but no programmable beats
It’s in great shape – one thing – the black vinyl top is a bit scratched (see pic)
The “cool mods” are separate outputs for the Bass Drum, Snare and HiHat sounds (see the rear pics)
The sound of these individual outputs is still affected by the ‘Balance’ control (basically the HiHat gets louder or softer)
The main outputs work normally.
the 3 additional 1/4 in jacks to the left of the 3 individual outs don’t appear to be hooked to anything” Link
“Owned by me since the mid 1980′s and in excellent condition this is one of the first drum machines ever produced and was described recently in the Audio Fanzine as “a bona fide 9/10 classic”.
The CR 68 has 54 pre-set rhythms including four rock and roll, two disco, waltz, shuffle, slow rock, swing, foxtrot, tango, boogie, enka, bosa nova. samba, mambo, chacha, beguine and rhumba all with breaks and fills available as required.
Sounds include kick, snare, rim, hi-hat, cymbal, claves, cowbell, bongos, congas etc all with adjustable parameters eg tempo and accent.
Original users included Genesis, Blondie, OMD, Brian Ferry, Peter Gabriel and Fat Boy Slim while modern applications could include R&B and hiphop.
As a guitarist I used the Compu Rhythm as a rehearsal tool but it would be especially useful in a studio setting as a sample base for authentic retro sounds. NB various demos are available on Youtube, as are details of an apparently inexpensive modification to midi if required.
Comes complete with non-latching trigger footswitch pedal and Roland owners manual” Link
