” Roland CR-5000 Drum Machine.

In exellent condition and working 100% perfectly. there is a small crack to the rear of the plastic casing apart from that it is in exeptionaly good condition.

It comes with its original dust cover and Roland foot switch.

Its a great sounding drum machine sounds similar to a TR-808 and CR-78

Although Unlike the CR-8000 it isnt fully programable it is very versatile as you can combine rhythms and add extra drum sounds etc.” Link

“Roland CompuRhythm CR-5000. Drum Machine. Item has been in dry storage for about the past 15 years, I have used this actual machine in a studio long ago, then It worked 100 %, I recently pulled it out of storage, hooked it up to an amp and tested. and found that most buttons do not make contact,( Most drum patterns do not work) Unit powers up,On/Off,Accent,Volume,Intro fill In/Measures,Tempo controls work OK, a couple various drum beats can be turned on, some others come on by tapping buttons with some force.(sometimes). Unit needs to be opened up and control contacts cleaned/repaired or ?, also a 14″ X 7″ Black flat shelf had been adhered to top of unit.it’s on there pretty solid. Unit has all knobs, buttons, etc. Just an old machine that needs an overhaul. so, Item will be sold as-is, for parts or repair,no return.” Link

“Here’s a Roland CR-5000 In all around excellent condition,

Here’s a neat piece of vintage gear it functions great with no static in any controls all the LED’s light , beautiful condition , comes with the owners manual in perfect condition and the original sales reciept – purchased from mahoneys pro music and drum shop here in Las vegas in 1992 , The Serial # 469078 -the serial #’s pre date 1989 when roland changed there manufacturing codes , the owners manual is dated 1983 I have no idea if this was sitting on the shelf in the drum shop for about 10 years or it was pre-owned and sold to this drum shop then put up for resale as used – the reciept doesn’t state a used unit nor does it say new, but with a price tag of $250.00 my guess is that it was new old stock when purchased in 92 – in any case again it works great and its still in near new cosmetic condition its been unused and in climate controlled storage since approx.1994 till about 2 weeks ago ” Link

“Up for auction is a vintage Roland CR-5000 CR5000 CompuRhythm drum machine in SORT OF WORKING condition, with photocopy of Owners Manual for model CR-8000, and CR-5000 / 8000 Service Notes (22 pgs 11X17). I plugged into my wife’s guitar amp and could get a few rhythms to play, mainly high hat and some drum, and verified that these controls work == Volume, Accent, Tempo (speed), and Voice Level. But most of the LEDs don’t light up, so needs some attention, contact cleaner perhaps, or?????. In VG physical shape, with some light wear to front panel, and some bottom screws missing. My wife bought this Roland CompuRhythm years ago, and we bought the paperwork we could find online, and we were going to have it checked out, but it sat for years and she has other machines, so this one is on the auction block.” Link

“Roland CR-5000

AUTHENTIC ANALOGUE DRUM MACHINE

I used this drum machine as a working musician for years because of its ease of use when doing live gigs.

You can use a foot switch to stop & start and with a flick of the tempo button you can change speed or slow down as the mood changes.

The pre-programmed rhythms cover all types of music instantly – and through a good PA it delivers enough punch to provide a solid dance beat.

In the end I reluctantly went over to using backing tracks like everyone else – but after a few years started using it again in acoustic-type venues where that kind of stuff was frowned on. In those situations, where you don’t need the latest upfront digital sounds, you can just use it to provide a subtle accompaniment.

It seems that analogue sounds are now in demand again. I have no experience in that field but there is some techie information online in the link below.

I am selling because worsening arthritis means I’ve stopped gigging altogether. It is in perfect working order.” Link

“In need of switch/Button cleaning.

I am selling my Roland CR-5000

All of the Pots work great but about half of the buttons need to be pressed a bunch of times to switch patterns.

They all work… you just need to press them a bunch to switch your Rhythm/Pattern.

I’m sure the contacts just need to be cleaned, but I just don’t trust myself to do any kind internal work on such a cool machine.

It sounds really awesome, it just needs a little TLC… or you could tinker with it and get some awesome samples in this condition.

The case is honestly in pretty good shape, it has a few nicks but it still turns heads and sounds awesome!” Link

“This particular unit appears to be in good working shape. I have played around with the knobs, dials, and buttons for hours and haven’t found anything to be out of order. It’s a fun little machine.” Link
