“1975 Cordovox dual combo organ with a Moog satellite built in!
There’s a built in bass section with a coupler and sustain, it has bass, guitar and vibrato depth for faders, you can make it sound like a Rheem bass keyboard, or more like a bass guitar, this whole section works great! The rest of the bottom organ is your straight vintage organ, think vox jaguar, definitely better sounding than any farfisa I ever played, there is a percussion section with repeat and mono, the effects for this do not all seem functioning, at least I don’t notice any percussion, but it sounds like an organ! Now for the top portion of the keyboard, the top is a moog satellite combined with the organ section, there are faders to blend them and basically you have the ability to make one louder than the other or match their volumes, you can great some great leads and all kinds of other great sounds just with that, there is also and octave section for the entire organ for whatever scale or key you want. There is modulation and a straight volume for just the moog and an on/off switch for the moog. The moog works and has presets, however there are minor issues with the moog, there is a tuner to tune the moog and this works and you will need it to match the moog to the organ because the moog doesn’t have completely stable tuning. Now every key on the moog does not sound completely, there is something up with the key assembly, I have opened it up and checked out the keying set up. I couldn’t figure it out with so many different keying operations, I think I may have it figured out but it’s too much of a project for me right now, there are three black keys that need replacing and one white one, they are plastic keys glued on metal and can be found on ebay, same keys as a polymoog and many other synths, they can usually be found cheap. All the keys are with it, it’s just the few I am referring to are cracked. I cleaned this thing out really well and scrubbed the outer shell, it’s a nice aged white. This was in storage for probably 15-20 years and she’s been cleaned up and is ready for a new owner to give her some TLC! I’d say it’s at least 75-80% functional and as a sweet double bar organ with a bass section, it’s 100% functional. There are 1/4″ outs underneath and a connection to hook up organ bass pedals to control the bass section is you wanted to wire some up it’d be pretty easy! I will ship via Fed Ex and buyer will pay actual shipping costs, so I will get you a shipping total afterward, however I don’t imagine it will be much more than $50-60, depending where you are, continental U.S. only! “Getting these Moog all tuned up and ready for studio use was a chore but its alive and working perfect my audio tech had to replace some of the Original tuning pots and go through everything for tuning adjustments and cleaning so you should be very happy with performance when you get this moog.

NOTE: MY AUDIO TECH STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT THIS MOOG NOT BE SHIPPED DO TO THE FACT THAT IT WILL HAVE TO BE RE-TUNED AGAIN SO PLEASE BE AWARE THAT IF YOU HAVE THIS MOOG SHIPPED THERE’S A GOOD CHANCE THAT YOUR GOING TO HAVE TO HAVE IT WORKED ON.

this moog is really old and big!! the chances of it arriving in a shipment even after packing it up supper good with a ton of bubble wrap and double boxing it most likely will get things jerked around inside the guts of the moog. ” Link

“First the good…Overall in really good shape. The organ section works flawlessly…all of the keys work and it sounds really cool. The bass pedal also works fine. All of the original pieces are here. The is the first one I’ve ever seen that has all of the original cases and bass pedal…and WORKS! Oh yeah, IT LOOKS COOL as HELL!!!

Now for the bad… The synth section has issues. For the most part it is not functional. I opened it up once and got it to work a few times by wiggling some wires but really never cared enough to get it professionally looked at. The preset synth buttons have some sticky stuff on them making them a little hard to depress. There is one slider cap missing as you can see in the pic.( I actually have it around here somewhere and would send it to you once found). The volume pedal wire is disconnected from the pedal.( probably not a hard fix for someone who knows what they’re doing. Some of the chrome has come off the legs. Finally, there is a small chip in the shell on the left front corner( I tried to photograph it but it didn’t really turn out so well).

I think with a little TLC and analog expertise this thing will perform like it did in 1975! If you’re a collector get this! You may not see one this complete for awhile. Here’s a little info from the web about it.” Link

“Ultra rare CDX-0642 double tier Organ for the 1970s here! Just try and find another one! Be the coolest kid in your block. You turn up to practice with this thing and you will be worshipped! Ok the problems. Not everything works here folks. You can watch the video for all the details… but mostly a few dead keys on the lower tier. Some of the features are just plain weird and not sure if that’s “by design” or something is wrong with them. This thing has some seriously weird sounds borderline Moog or ARP sounds. Phaser, tremolo, wah wah, drawbars, even a harp and awesome solo tweak feature. Please, please don’t bid expecting this to be a perfectly 100% flawless working organ! Its about oh 90% working and i think could be brought back to life completely for a few 100 by your local tech. Some of the jacks are input jacks are staticy and there are a lot of crakly pots ect. ” Link

“Well here it is, one of the rarest Organs/Synthesizers on the planet. The infamous Moog “White Elephant” it’s not really called that or anything it’s just given that nick name by collectors. Its real name is much more serious and boring: Organ CDX – 062 made by Norlen Music Inc based out of Chicago. It doesn’t even say Moog on the label, only on the panel itself! I’ve seen only 2 or 3 of these EVER in last 5 years, let alone for sale. This is pretty much the crown jewel of any Moog Synthesizer collector.

I’m not sure every feature works perfectly but then again I’m not sure I know how to use the thing either. There are two output jacks in the bottom I’m thinking that you are suppose to have them both plugged in? They don’t say anything but it may be UPPER and LOWER keyboards (or possible–>synth and organ).

May need a little TLC to get EVERY feature 100% working. Right now I would say most of the features work. I couldn’t get the draw-bars to happen and a few “sounds” did nothing? Problems are to be expected with a organ like this!That sold as is. ” Link

“THIS AUCTION IS FOR ONE VINTAGE USED MOOG CDX-O-652 CORDOVOX ORGAN/SYNTHESIZER WHITE ELEPHANT.THIS UNIT LOOKS GOOD FOR ITS AGE.IT IS MISSING SOME SLIDER KNOBS, AND I AM NOT SURE IF THE STEMS ARE BROKE, BUT I CAN MOVE THE SLIDERS UP AND DOWN EASILY WITH A TOOTHPICK.ALL THE OTHER KNOBS AND BUTTONS ARE STILL ATTACHED AND MOVE FREELY.THE UNIT POWERS UP BUT I CAN NOT TEST IT ANY FURTHER BECAUSE I HAVE NO PEDAL OR CABLES AND I AM NOT AN EXPERT ON THESE TYPE OF MACHINES.I did plug this organ in and it powered on. I will guarantee that this powers on but beyond that, I can’t test it. All the slides, switches and knobs operate smoothly. “Wow!!! Thats a lot of info! I suggest you google this model so you will know exactly what it will do. I have tested this one extensively and everything works. This one even comes with the original stand and red leatherette carry bag(sorry the zipper is trashed). Cosmetically, this one is in good shape. The color has yellowed a bit and the yellowing is a bit splotchey, and there seems to be the beginning of cracks on the plastic on the edges(see photo) but overall pretty clean. These don’t turn up everyday so get it while you can!” Link
