“Casio CZ-1 Synthesizer for sale. Just the actual Synthesizer for sale. Nothing else included. ” Link
“Casio CZ-1 Synth Synthesizer. Everything works as it should. Has Stereo Chorus that CZ-101 and 1000 don’t have, and unlike any other CZ synth, there’s velocity and aftertouch for more expression, with velocity able to modulate PD depth for more expressive patches. Missing slider caps for chorus and volume but the sliders still work fine (a little scratchy when you move them, like on many synths of this age). Two keys have slight cracking but still work, a little glue could fix those up, see pics.” Link

” Casio CZ 1 digital synth. I’ve had this for a while and I just don’t use it. Everything is working on the unit. Its a little dusty and there are a few scuffs here and there but nothing major. Takes a standard 3 prong IEC power cord.” Link
I’d give it about a 95% in physical condition, it looks great for its age and size
Velocity and aftertouch make it great for expressive chiptune-ish sounds” Link
“Selling an excellent condition CZ-1. It is almost in mint condition, just a minor, small scratch on the right hand side as shown in the picture. You can’t even notice it from a close distance. Keyboard will be packaged professionally and insured as well.” Link
Hello, you are looking at a Casio CZ-1 synthesizer, and the stand that came with it. The synth has been tested and works, sounds great! All keys play, there are no dead keys on this. The pitch bend and modulation wheels work as expected. I tested this with MIDI using it as a controller for another synth and it worked without any issue. The volume fader moves left and right smoothly, and has no static at all when changing volume. The stereo chorus fader moves left and right smoothly and has no static when increasing or decreasing the effect level. I pressed every button on the synth and everything responded to being pressed and lit up the LED for each function, plus the data increment buttons worked normally. The ‘phones’ jack produces sound just fine, same with the line out a and b channels. I do not have a foot volume or sustain pedal to test, however everything else on this is working and have no reason to believe they wouldn’t be as well. I do not have any cartridge to test the cart port.
There is one gouge on the top of the keyboard right above the text that says “Data Save / Load”, this doesn’t affect anything with playability, or affect any operation, it is just cosmetic and on the body only. There are a few scratches / scuffs here and there, but overall in nice shape. It appears to be missing the fader caps for the volume and the chorus effect, but there is plenty of shaft protruding out to adjust the volume, and it looks like this would take a relatively standard fader cap if you were to look for one. ” Link
” Amazing condition, vintage Casio CZ-1 synthesizer. Item has never really been used. It was purchased with the hope of learning sound programming and promptly placed back in the box and stored in a safe dry environment for decades. All keys, buttons and sliders work perfectly. The unit has a very minor scuff on the left side from rubbing against the packing foam during shipping. Otherwise the unit looks as if brand new. I doubt very much that there exists another one of this make and model that can be found in better condition or has seen less use. Item is practically new. Includes all original manuals and power cord. Will ship in original factory packaging as seen in photos. ” Link
“The Midi button is really flimsy to engage. Sometimes need to press it couple times. It needs to be clearned or repaired. Other than this issue all functions work as they should.” Link
“CASIO CZ-1 SYNTHESIZER KEYBOARD WITH MIDI PHASE DISTORTION VINTAGE IN GREAT WORKING SHAPE HAVE A FEW SCUFF MARKS 1 KEY ON PICTURE IS CHIPPED AT BOTTOM AND THE TOP KNOB ON VOLUME CONTROL IS MISSING AND TOP KNOB ON STEREO CHORUS CONTROL IS MISSING BUT BOTH STILL MOVE AND IS FULLY FUNCTIONAL SELLING AS IS” Link
“Synthesiser used by depeche mode, rare hard to find!!!” Link
“good working condition – comes with power chord (not pictured) but does not include manual or external memory card” Link
Vintage Casio CZ-1 Synth, includes hard case, companion SZ-1 4-track sequencer, 2 original memory cartridges, and original manuals.” Link
“It’s completely functional and it’s in pretty good condition. It’s from a smoke free home, and there is nothing wrong with it. It has some scuffs, and on the right side (picture 5) it has a piece of tape on it that was there before I got the keyboard years ago. It is missing the two sliders for the volume and stereo chorus but they are still completely functional. The bottom is scratched up, but what do you expect from a 28lb keyboard, haha. This is definitely a difficult synth to come across and you will not regret owning it. I think it’s a great synth and I really don’t want to get rid of it, but i’m moving on from the local music scene and I intend on investing in a motorcycle– and I can’t really carry this on a motorcycle…” Link
In good condition; works great!
Good overall vintage cosmetics w/ no major blemishes. ” Link
” THE UNIT IS A LITTLE ROUGH BUT EVERYTHING IS WORKING CORRECTLY” Link
” The pictures are of the actual item; the synth has only been lightly used and comes with full manuals (maintenance as well as operation) and a complete set of the original patches. I do not have a gig bag for it. As well as providing classic phase distortion sounds, this is a superb master keyboard. It isn’t weighted and has velocity and after touch. The midi spec is good and the bank/patch selectors (the two rows of blue buttons on the left) go out on midi, providing a very useful control surface for other devices.” Link
“THIS IS A RARE AND AWSOME KEYBOARD PD. THE ONLY FLAW IS IT’S MISSING THE PLASTIC KNOB FOR THE STEREO CHORUS BUT STILL CAN BE MOVED WITHOUT KNOB AND IM SURE YOU CAN ACQUIRE A KNOB FOR THIS VERY CHEAP.SEE PICS FOR EXACTLY WHAT YOU WILL GET.WORKS GOOD.” Link
“This is a sought-after Casio CZ-1 synthesizer. I just tested it and all the patches on every bank are working perfectly! All 61 keys are also in perfect shape cosmetically and mechanically. Lots of useful patches, programability and good effects.” Link
“Great condition, fully working. I’m the second owner; it’s has been kept entirely in a studio by both myself and the previous owner. Includes original manuals and additional patches.” Auction ended. Click here to browse on eBay.
“Great sounding, 1986 vintage synthesizer. Casios’s big high-end poly synth, designed for live performance. Convenient programmable patches, versatile velocity-sensitive and aftertouch sensitive keyboard, onboard chorus. Fat sounds reminiscent of a Minimoog or Yamaha DX. Employs a waveform contouring process called Phase Distortion. MIDI, 8-stage envelopes, 2 oscillators per voice, memory, multitimbrality. Can take a RAM/ROM cartridge to store patches. This unit has an interesting history: it was awarded by the Casio company as a prize, for best electronic music submission. Still in the family since. Excellent condition, never gigged with, mostly stored. Sturdy, heavy steel cabinet is almost scratch-free. Original protruding knobs on the volume and chorus are gone, however the sliders work and there is no chance of damage as before. Unit has been tested recently and works fine. ” Auction ended.
