This little synth is a real surprise. It sounds nothing like a DX7 as some have suggested. It is more analogue in its design and structure and is capable of much warmth from its DCOs.The build is fantastic. You can develop sounds using conventional parameters. The number of editing parameters is surprisingly comprehensive. is battery powered..like the wasp and cs-01. It is a really useful keyboard..great for people short of space and working on a budget.
In semi-working condition, when you turn it on it says write to memory and stays on just one preset., but there is sound, and all keys do trigger so it can be used as a MIDI controller.
also missing one key, and the volume slider cap., some scratches, also missing it’s battery compartment door.

” I am selling my vintage CASIO CZ-5000 synthesizer. I am the 2nd owner, having obtained it in the early 90′s from a good friend. It’s in perfect working condition. All the fader knobs are intact. This is the largest and arguably best synth CASIO ever produced, with 16 voices, 8 oscillators, 61 keys, MIDI support, and a built-in sequencer. It’s been used by the Orb, Jean-Michel Jarre and Ariel Pink on his early home-recorded output. The CZ-5000 has an expanded waveform memory for even more sounds and thicker sounds. It’s like having two stacked CZ-1000 synths all at once! Casio’s CZ series of phase-distortion digital synths make for a unique sound. After all, there are 8-stage envelopes and 2 oscillators per voice for a thicker tone. Their sound is similar to the Yamaha DX synths but is much easier to program. The CZ-5000 may be at the pinnacle of Casio’s synthesizer line.

These can be stored either by batteries or memory card (not included). Does come with a non original power supply but i’d recommend buying a new one as the synth works better with one of my korg ones from another synth. “This unit is in very good condition. Huge fun sampling sounds with the built in mic or creating your own with the waveforms. The cheesy built in drums make it that much more fun to groove to. It runs on batteries (5 AAs, not included) but you can purchase a power adaptor at any Radio Shack that will work.

“Here is a chance to buy the unique sound of the Casio CZ-101 phase distortion synth. Don’t be fooled by the look or by the fact that it’s made by Casio – this thing is capable of making some truly unique and weird sounds!
This is a pretty old synth and as such is has a number of scratches and what look like burns in the plastic cover / keyboard. It also has a slightly loose power connector which means if you knock the power lead a certain way th synth will reboot. Whilst not ideal, it can certainly still be used but it probably very easy to fix anyway if you handy with a soldering iron (I’m not!).
This comes complete with a memory cartridge (for storing sounds) and with the original manual.” Link

“This is an extremely Rare Casio AZ-1 Synthesizer. Weapon of choice for big cats such as Thomas Dolby and Chick Corea. The great ones must have seen something in this early axe. Unfortunately, I do not have the proper power source and this item is being sold As Is/Untested. The rear battery holder is not functional. The octive control is missing it’s finger pad. I have no case or paperwork. Otherwise overall condition is very good. The keys have nice action and all of the switches move smoothly, but again, I can not vouch for it’s functionality. 24 white keys and 17 black, No cracks in the plastic, Nice Pearlized white color. ” The concertmate 500 is the rare version of the sk-1 it is a sk-1 under the realistic branding. in box but missing power supply and shows signs of use like tape marks on the bottom and other small scratches. all keys work. still in vary good condition for being over 20 years old a matter of fact this is in the best condition i have ever seen one and i have seen a few you could probably get the tape marks off i am just not going to deal with it. i have been collecting synth and keyboards for many years and am getting rid of some of my collection. shipping is high because i will have to put a box in a box.” Link

“Up for auction I have a lot of two vintage sampling Casio keyboards. You get the SK-1 as well as the SK-60. The SK-1 comes with its original box. Both are in good working condition.
-Casio SK-1 Sampling Keyboard. Comes with original box which has some dents and creases and some slight wear but is overall pretty decent. Sampler was tested and works great. Keyboard is super loud. Missing battery compartment door. And it didn’t come with its original power supply so we tested it with batteries. Battery compartment is clean. There are some note stickers on some of the keys. Some light scuffs can be seen on the front. All the buttons, keys and sliders seem to work fine. Slider pots may need to be cleaned and may be a little dusty. Works amazing otherwise.
-Casio SK-60 Say & Play Keyboard. Works great. Has its battery cover. Comes with original power adapter. Missing rubber on/off switch. Some sticker residue by the Casio logo. Some light age wear but overall really nice and in good working condition.

“Dont be fooled by the name – this Casio is a very professional synthesizer. It is based on the technology inside the Yamaha DX7 but offers more options. This MIDI synthesizer is 16 note polyphonic, with 8 part multitimbral capability. Single sounds (normal mode) are made up of up to 8 modules (think FM operator). Pairs of modules make up “lines”. You can either mix them, ring modulate them or phase distort them. (Phase distortion is a variation of FM synthesis used in the Yamaha DX, TG and FS1r series). You can also phase distort lines with other lines. The envelopes (pitch and amplitude) are 8 stage, each with a rate and level. In operation memory mode, you can create sounds with up to 4 patches on a single channel and set up layers and splits with lots of control over each of the layers. Think about it… this means that in Operation mode you can have up to 32 oscillators per note, and you can detune them. The results can be amazing, especially considering the low cost of this item. FEW SYNTHS OFFER THE SONIC CAPABILITY OF THIS SYNTH! This is a really great synthesizer – you can make extremely fat and complicated sounds with it. Its preset sounds are nice but if you spend some time to get to know it and you know how to program, you can make it sound incredible. Unit turns on , and all white and black keys are working fine. The volume works, and the pitch bend works fine too.
However, none of the other program selection keys respond to the touch. One of the black key is hard to press, but it works once pressed. The battery compartment shows some rust, and if I shake the unit , something rattles inside.

Convenient programmable patches, versatile velocity-sensitive and aftertouch sensitive keyboard, onboard chorus. Fat sounds reminiscent of a Minimoog or Yamaha DX. Employs a waveform contouring process called Phase Distortion. MIDI, 8-stage envelopes, 2 oscillators per voice, memory, multitimbrality. Can take a RAM/ROM cartridge to store patches. This unit has an interesting history: it was awarded by the Casio company as a prize, for best electronic music submission. Still in the family since. Excellent condition, never gigged with, mostly stored. Sturdy, heavy steel cabinet is almost scratch-free. Original protruding knobs on the volume and chorus are gone, however the sliders work and there is no chance of damage as before. Unit has been tested recently and works fine. ” Link
