“2010 Roland Ax Synth. I bought it new 7 months ago from Sweetwater. The AX Synth is in nearly mint condition, cosmetically a 9, functionally a 10. If you’ve never played one, the sounds and expressiveness of this unit are phenomenal. The case is a SKB designed specifically for the AX. This was the second case I received from Sweetwater and it has the same issue the first one had, which is cracks in the latches. They sent me the replacement and it had exactly type of cracks and I assumed that all of the SKB cases would have them and kept this case. The cracks do not affect the function nor do they feel ‘loose’. I bought this for it’s light weight and ‘cool nerd’ factor, but realized that 98% of the time I play it flat like any other keyboard and so I am going to buy a traditional stage piano for my musik. ” Link

We (Freezepop) started using this on our April 2010 tour. It’s great for van tours but ended up being a little bit big for flying for us (required a proprietary case) so we downgraded to an Ax-09 (which is actually not nearly as comprehensive as the Ax-Synth). A bunch of my sounds are in there. I enjoyed using the editing software, but I’m pretty partial to Roland-speak so it was easy for me. I guess we played about 9 shows with this badboy, and we will miss it. Our loss is your gain….

“I have a Roland AX-Synth Keytar for sale. I actually purchased this less than a month ago but I have decided after playing around with it a few times I’ve realized that it’s just that much more that I’m going to have to carry to gigs and I just don’t have the time to mess with and learn ANOTHER synth! It’s in next to mint condition and the only thing that’s keeping me from saying it’s mint is a small plastic tab in the back panel that has broken off. I believe it’s there to hold a cable, maybe? In any case, it doesn’t affect anything operational. Check out the pics to see what I mean. It comes with the official Roland AX-Synth carrying bag, the Roland ST-AX stand made specifically for this synth, a 20ft. MIDI cable and the M-Audio “MIDAIR” wireless MIDI system (never opened, still sealed in box). I have the original box for the keytar with all the original packaging, owner’s manual with the AX-Synth software cd and power cord (all not pictured).
